If shiv really feels guilty why does he not just submit the divorce papers to the court? Both Shiv and Gauri have signed in them. Since he is such a coward, not having the guts to admit the truth to Gauri, he can alteast ensure that they are not technically married. So even if Gauri remains in the house she will not die because she is not his wife.

I agree 100%!

He should have the decency to do that after everything he's put Gauri through!

But, thinking about it rationally, I think the only obstacle stopping him from doing so is his mother. I'm sure Nikhila would come up with an excuse, relating to the dosh in his kundali, saying that after divorcing Gauri, she would not technically be his wife. Hence, the dosh would remain 'active'- for want for a better word! 😆

Why tell his mother about it? Shiv is a grown man is'nt it? Can he not keep it a secret? He did a good job of hiding the truth about the plan for so long. As to the dosh, it only says his wife will die, is'nt it? Then he and Ipshi can just have a live-in relationship. I think that would not raise too many eyebrows in today's times, especially in high societies to which Shiv belongs to. Why get married at all in the first place?
