Okay, I know , I know, people must be expecting some senti * coughs ahem coughs* mental post now , after an episode like this one, but I guess... not....š
Sentimental mein pehle mere paas is serial ke liye "Senti" bacha tha...aaj sirf "Mental" bacha... hai...
On a more serious note, as an ardent KAA / Mr IK,/ Ms Pallavi / S-G fan, after knowing the new twist in the tale, I did look forward to the episodes out of curiosity , but both the episodes aired on the 19th and 20th of Dec with the Shiv Ipshitha angle failed to impress me , and I watched the episodes with a strange detachment , unlike the earlier episodes...
I would not deem it right on my part to comment on the acting skills of any of the actors involved , but yes, I couldnt relate to the histrionics of a certain few in certain scenes, the most obvious being the lake side scene with Shiv expressing his love for the portrait girl aka Ipshitha....
The obvious passion and longing and pain of seperation one expects amidst lovers such as these , was clearly missing...
Sad to note, it seemed only the man was deeply , passionately in love , while the woman , seemed the ideal personification of "Pathar ke sanam.."...
Sadly the entire scene , where Shiv was mouthing the words " I worship you".. , the expression on his lady love's face reminded me of the song ..
"Patthar ke sanam, tujhe hamne khuda janaaa..."...
As for concept / story, I guess, expecting a path breaking story was definetely wishful thinking, but I guess, the most important is to have the viewers relate to the story, the scenes...
Sadly , the past two episodes had scenes that were conceptualized very well, of childhood sweethearts, of pain and of seperation, of two lovers in pain, for they cannot stay with eachother, yet all the scenes lacked a feel... a connect that was missing, which merely left the viewers detached and bored... rather than evoke emotions for the characters....
Ironical that, scenes of two people bound in a unwanted marriage and the relucatant acceptance , sent the viewers into a state of euphoria, while a seemingly passionate, intense tale of two childhood sweethearts , left the viewers begging for it all to end...
The past two episodes, were clearly meant to have the viewers on the edge , but sadly left me atleast , waiting for them to end... despite some brilliant performances....
A sad irony, well conceptualized scenes , some brilliant performances, emotions galore, a gripping story..... leave behind a bored ,detached viewer... wonder why??
Food for thought.. I guess...
Sadly people, I at the end of the day remain a detached viewer ...hence ...

- Jus my thoughts on the episodes, no offence is meant to anyone, neither the actors, nor the creatives, nor the viewers...
It is at the end of the day , my view point, I wished to share...here on KAA IF...
