Who would have imagined that could be Shiv kapoor's life? Who would have imagined he'd be caught in this complicated dilemma that too by his own people, the one who cared for him a lot but that too for their own selfish reasons. It was hard for him to believe it was them from the start, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him but no, it was true. It was real and happening to him, the same Shiv kapoor who treated his life as open and fun. He'd never have thought his life could be this serious and play tricks on him.
He knew how she felt as she lost her dear father; he was there for her every time. Why it's so weird to see the one to whom you used to hurt, your own heart aches every time you see her sad face. No matter how hard she tries to plaster her emotions, her feelings, it was always visible to him as if he could read her like open book. It stings him all inside every time he saw her break down on her own. She tried to plaster her feelings in front of him but alone she was vulnerable. He tried to be there for her, let her know he was there but she didn't look up at him once but distanced herself from him more. If not Gauri, he was there for their family specially Kaya.
It has three weeks since the death of Alok, Kaya was slowly recovering but there was no sign of Gauri recovering from the depression. Since the accident the doctor has already pointed out that more weakness will cause problem for baby and also for the delivery. He didn't elaborate more. He was in no mood to take Gauri back to kapoor mansion and felt she was safe here than there. Above all this, he blamed himself for her state, it was his fault from the start and to the end and his death. He wondered how she would react when she learns shahid is murdered but not died due to illness. It was his fault.
Shiv being the only son of Mahen kapoor, thus the first chid in Kapoor was pampered a lot and everyone in the family expected great from him. Maya being the only sister of Nikhila started living the Kapoor's. She was widowed and at that time Voila was seven while Shiv was ten. They both were pampered and loved by the family in their own way, Shiv treated Voila as his sister but sometimes he became jealous when all the family pampered her more as she was a girl than he. He would always think he was more of family than them but never questioned it to anyone. At the age of twelve Voila and Maya left to London to start their new lives and Voila to get good education. They made visits to India every few years in vocations. Shiv was happy with it of course. He indeed was a playboy, arrogant but also has a soft side that was known to his family. At the age of 20, Mahen introduced a new member to the family Shahid as he was hard working and honest employee in kapoor industry. Shahid was one year old to Shiv but they got on well. Soon they were best friends. He had seen Shahid fall in love with a girl as he talked about her all the time. He knew Gauri as she was daughter of Alok. Alok, best friend of Mahen paid occasion visits to Kapoor mansion. The day Shahid confessed his feelings about Gauri towards Mahen, he was proud of him. It was then Shahid invited Shiv along with him out in a lunch with Gauri. At first sight, he was baffled what could Shahid like about her? She looked so Behenjees type of girl; he simply sat there and watched them two talking lovey dovey talks while he had to endure the boredom. At that time Voila and Maya were at home while the family had gone out somewhere. Shiv had heard them talking about taking Kapoor's property in their name and wanted money. Maya was always jealous of Nikhila family and her luxurious life. She envied her from the start but never mentioned it. It shocked him how all the life he thought they loved him but they wanted his money after all he was to handle the Kapoor industries in his life, it was his responsibility. But of course they had seen him was shocked. It was then Maya threatened Shiv if does not marry Voila, he'll loose someone special. He of course didn't take the threat seriously, but threatened them back that he'll expose them in no time. He tried to expose but they didn't take him seriously. He didn't give up easily but tried every time. Soon the family got tired and fed up of their doings. Maya pretended to be hurt and left for London along with Voila. After one month, Wedding was on full swings, Shiv was free. Little did he know the wedding day would change his life forever? On the wedding day all were shocked to find out Shahid eloping leaving behind a single note that didn't convey anything, "I am sorry, I didn't have enough option. You don't deserve me." Since Mahen considered Gauri as his own, he decided to get her married to Shiv. Shiv was already shocked about Shahid incident didn't see this coming. He refused at first instant, he had seen Shahid fall for her, knew something was wrong than. He had seen him worry all the weak but he'd always say he's nervous. Mahen then threatened him to kick him out of Kapoor's empire and also not to call him Dad anymore. At that time he felt as if had been hit hard, was he important more or Gauri? He was family; at that instant he felt nothing but pure hatred towards her. He agreed.
During the second day of Wedding they received dead body of Shahid, once again this shock was more than the wedding, hit him hard. The doctor has explained he was in the last stage of Brain Tumour. He had lost his best friend to whom he confided everything. He was everything to him like Big brother. The same night he received phone call from Maya, how did he like the surprise? It angered him yet making him traumatized; it was them and their threat. She told him how they fooled Shahid that he had brain tumour and made fake medical reports to make him believe it. He fell for it. His death was not due to illness but murdered. He was kidnapped by one of their man and was killed by them. They also threatened to divorce Gauri or he'll loose some one close again.
He tried everything since their marriage to make her hate him, from rudeness to bullying. She would not see the end of it. As day passes he would do everything to get rid of her but she was too stubborn for it. It agitated and annoyed him to an extent. Days passed, he was getting used of her but didn't give up his habit. It ached him inside to see her cry; he knew it wasn't her fault. He had seen her cry over the death of Shahid so did he? He still was rude to her with a hope that she'll go away. Maya keep threatening him. It killed him to see how rude he was to her but he was helpless. If he'd confess he'd take away someone's life. Shahid was dead because of him and he still lived with the guilt today.
Honeymoon was the biggest problem. He didn't know what happened to him when he saw her with another man. Maybe it was because of his unconscious behaviour as he was drunk. It felt so weird to see her with another man, she didn't look that type. Their conversation with Soham made him enrage yet confused at the same time. He didn't know what occurred to him that day that made him commit such a sinful act. He was horrified at his act the next morning. Why did he say that she deserved it? He didn't know what it was. He left the room as he couldn't stand the sea of pain in her eyes. Her eyes were too expressive that killed him inside, question himself why he was doing it? To save her! But that sinful act was his fault. At this point he was to commit suicide….. A man only commit suicide when he has no point to live, this was exactly his case except he didn't want to cause any more pains anyone. Die without causing pain or hurting anyone. He stood at the cliff point on the day before they were to leave from honeymoon evaluating his life. He was about to do it when suddenly someone saved him. It was Sanya who saved him. When people say that the world is too small and he now knows what this phrase exactly means. From all the population in the world, Sanya has to save him why not any one else? Sanya now soon to be marred to Zac Efron, was his child hood friend. They have studied junior school together after that they moved to NY.
The note he found on the last day gave him doubts whether it was Gauri or not. He was livid yet started searching frantically for her in the hotel, beach and the local area. There was no sign of her, at the moment he was heart broken to see no sign of her. He realized what he had done to her was wrong and started assuming it would have been Maya's doing. Nevertheless he needed to be sure so went back with heavy heart. The sight of her in the airport and changed behaviour made him feel lightened yet surprised, it was her. It was because of Sanya, he was there, live and in search for the justice… For her, for him and for Shahid…
"Gauri get ready, I've booked doctor appointment in about half an hour"
She looked at him and went to the cupboard took clothes out and went to bathroom. He gathered necessary reports and waited. Soon Gauri came out looking freshen. Her stomach was now beginning to show the colours of pregnancy. They drove silently towards the hospital, with Shiv keep checking on her every few minutes while she stared out in the window.
With five month pregnant now, the doctor expressed his fears about Gauri not getting enough nutrition's that both with weaken the baby and her strength. If this continues, the pregnancy will face complications or possibly they'll have to go for an operation during the delivery time. Gauri listened quietly, from the corner of her eyes she saw Shiv face whitened as the doctor continued to explain the threats it will cause. Why did it matter to him that much? It was his child, that's what he wants, a voice told her. Then what about the things he did, looking after Kaya and Massima? She had seen for herself Kaya getting back to normal self slowly, what if it weren't for Shiv… What would have happened? Don't be silly…. You'd be there for here… we all know that the reason for doing all this is so that he can get close to the child and have him or her?
"You don't have to do this. I can take care of myself" she said once they are seated in the car.
He turned the ignition on, "I can see that"
"STOP PRETENDING!" frustrated, "I know you are doing for the baby. I can take care of it myself and the baby, just leave me out of it and you can go back to your life"
"I care and it's my baby. I care for both" he knew he owe her the explanation but he didn't want to put more pressure on her. He was thankful she didn't ask him to go back to kapoor mansion.
As if reading his mind, "when are we going home?"
"We are going there"
"No I mean in your house"
"Our house. It's not safe there"
"Like I am safe with you!" she snapped at him. "What do you want? You want the baby? If I let you have the custody of the baby will that convince you to get out of my life?"
Shiv gripped the steering wheel harder and turned onto the lane, "No. Do you want something?"
"Yes, I want you to leave me"
He raised an eyebrow, "I meant from super market?"
Feeling frustrated, she let out angry sniff. "I swear once I am alright, I am going to kick you ass!"
Shiv looked at Gauri as if she was alien? Did she really say that or was he just hearing stuff? He should have known more surprises like this would shock him more. Feeling him stare at her, "What are you looking at?" so he wasn't hallucinating…

Okay ..Guilty as charged! I haven't continued for a long time because of my exams and my super long holiday! And yeah like other said I am lazy of updating… lol and I've got so many pms! Well now here's the whole of chapter fifteen. Comment as usual… I'll try to update soon from now on.
