I cant understand, please help

In 13 dec episode, when shiv comes along with gauri to drop her at her place, he says that he wud be there for her at any time she wants, wid that he says that although you are not with me but still u are my wife???

At first i thought i was mistaken but then in the next scene they show gauri reminding the same lines again that "Maybe u are not wid me, still u are my wife".... What does that mean?? I mean to say that gauri signed the divorce papers then how come she be shiv's wife???

Can anybody explain that to me????

basically he was telling her that yeah we have signed the papers, but your my wife....i marrie dyou and took the vows with you, whether he was happy about it at the time is altogether a different issue.

He respects her as a human..and finds in her a true friend....and i suppose its his indirect way of saying Gauri i love you...if the circumstances were different i.e. if i didnt hve this dosh in my kundali, we would still be together as wife and husband.

i hope that helps. I think it was extremely sweet thing to say to her!

It may very well b coz Gauri has signed the papers but shiv may not have any intentions to take it further just yet, all in good time rite exactly when maybe period of one year is over or maybe once they have physical relatinship, say what

May be it is the technicality he is talking about... After signing the papers, they is still separation period... during which time they are still legally married...

well.. I don't have first hand exp. but I learnt that in Law school
