"Pick up the files and get to work", he said firmly as looked at the laptop screen. She let out a sigh and picked up the files. She had barrowed the loan for Baba's health costs and Kaaya studies. As she walked slowly towards her office she heard him tapping away on the keyboard, but could feel his gaze.
"Gauri!" his voice boomed in the office as she turned to face him.
He stared at the screen "I want coffee and order me my usual lunch!" he said as he typed away. He smiled as he watched her slowly walk in the office "Checkmate!" he whispered……..

Part 69
Machan had discovered that she had not married Ram yet and was working for a cabling company. The plan was already and he was just waiting to get into the office now he was going to get what he wanted.
"Kolkatta is very beautiful!" he said looking at her as he held the phone.
"No mom I am fine in the haveli. I will see you as soon as I have sorted out matters here, then we will be home…..love you too…..bye
She sat in front of him, with her heart racing she could feel his eyes upon her as she stared at her notepad. He looked at her dressed in her sari and the breeze of the ac blew her hair slightly, leaning back in his chair "Where were we?" he asked.
She looked up at him "We will….
He nodded "We will be terminating our contact with you….ect" he said.
"But Sir Mr Sen has always renewed this contract….
"You are going to teach me how to run this company?" he said looking at her.
"We need this transportation company to deliver the cabling," she explained as he frowned at her.
"This contact is costing us 60 lacs per quarter….it make sense to end the contact and buy our own transportation which will cost me less then what I am paying now," he said firmly handing her over the new transportation project file. She looked at him in amazement and took the file.
"Type up the letter!" he said annoyed at her.
She got up to leave and felt something holding her back, with her heart racing she did not want to face him. He leaned back in his chair and watched her as she stood still, her fragile body was shaking in fear and he loved the hold he had over her. "What's the matter?" he said.
"Please Shiv!"
"Turn around!" She turned slowly and saw her sari pullu stuck at the end of his glass desk. Feeling embarrassed she walked over towards the table and freed herself. As he watch her walk over to her office he turned round in the chair and smiled….
"Gauri!" She walked into the hall and looked over at her father and walked towards him. As she approached him she notice Shiv sitting in the armchair holding a glass of water to his lips. She looked at him confused to why he was in her house and turned to see the family looking at him. Alok looked at the seat next to him hinting for her to sit down next to him. She looked over at him as he looked up to see her slowly sit next to her father. "How's your health now baba?", he asked placing the empty glass on the table. Alok looked at him puzzled as he spoke in such a calm manner.
"I am fine! How are you feeling now?" he asked looking at him.
"I feel a little strange as so much has happened in 2 years while I was asleep, as a lot of thing have changed in 2 years", he said looking at her.
"Why are you here?" he asked firmly not liking the way he was looking at Gauri.
He smiled and looked over at him "I have come to get what belongs to me!" he replied. Gauri looked at him as he spoke to her father with so much arrogance "What did they have that belonged to him", she thought as she stared at him. He reached inside his black blazer jacket and took out an envelope.
"Hi Everyone!" They all turned to see Ram carrying gifts into the house he looked at everyone as the stared at Shiv sitting in the armchair giving him a blank expression. He handed the gifts to Massima and approached them and sat opposite Shiv in the other armchair. Alok looked at Ram and smiled "Ram beta this is…."
"Shiv Kapoor," he answered as he got up and extended his hand towards him. Shiv glanced at him and his hand and turned towards Alok. Ram withdrew his hand and looked over at Gauri who sat looking at Shiv not blinking. Alok took hold of the envelope and looked over at Shiv "You see baba when I came out of my coma I had a lot of post to read and send. It took me a good month to go through everything and then I discover this letter," he said leaning back in his chair looking at her.
Alok looked at him curiously and opened the letter it was the divorce papers Gauri had signed and looked at him. "You see baba I never signed the divorce papers, so legally Gauri is still my wife! And I have come to take her home" he said looking at the family.
Gauri turned to look at him as he stood up from his seat she took the papers from her fathers hands. Alok got up and looked at him angrily "Tell me Shiv was the divorce not a mutual decision", he asked.
"Gauri are you going to tell him or should I?" he said looking at her as she stared at the papers still trying the digest the news.
"OK! I will tell baba….Gauri never told me about the divorce this was all her decision. She left me and came back here for her mothers barsi and all I got was a note telling me she was going! We had a little miss understanding, which she never gave me a chance to explain. If the accident had not happened I would I come for her sooner" he said firmly.
She looked at him as he stared at her and looked to see Ram smiling at her. Alok looked at Gauri and then back at Shiv. "I don't believe you," he said looking at Gauri.
"Believe what you like but Gauri is still my wife and I have come to take her with me", he said looking at him.
Gauri stood up and looked at him angrily and walked into her room, he smiled as he looked at them staring at him angrily. They looked as if they wanted to hurt him and he didn't blame them but Shiv Kapoor either gets what he wants or takes it.
"Shiv!" he turned to face her as she handed him a pen. He looked at the pen and remembered he had once told her he would sign the divorce papers with that same pen. He smiled as he took hold of the pen and looked at her amusingly.
"I want you to sign the divorce papers," she said firmly handing him the papers.
He was counting on her attack and turned towards the family. "Do you believe me know? I never wanted this divorce she does! Ok Gauri this is the second time you have asked me for a divorce", he said opening the pen he looked over at the family and looked at the papers. He closed the pen and torn up the papers and threw the torn paper at her. He looked over at Alok angrily "I married your daughter to save your izzat and this is the respect I get from your daughter", he said angrily.
She stared at him as he turned to look at her and she could see the fire in his eyes.
"I will be waiting in the car!" he said as he stormed off……
