here is what I know:

Gauri was suppose to marry this guy called Shashank...but Shiv and his friend played this trick on Gauri and b/c of that she was arrested...Shashank saw her, and said he will not marry her. Later Shiv announced that it was his mistake, but Shashank still did not agree, so Shiv was forced to marry Gauri. On the wedding night Shiv told Gauri he hates her..and she only married him for his money. And he told her he would do something to get her kicked out of the house. That is the basic story.
