How they met
"We first saw each other on the sets of Kaahin Kisi Roz. She was good looking but unfortunately had a bad impression about me," smiles Yash. Gauri explained why she has a bad impression on Yash, " I used to think that he was proud: arrogant, full of attitude and though I was friendly with everyone, I never really spoke to him at all. But one day he came over and that's how we started talking."
Memorable Moment
"Once I became ill on the sets and was rushed to the hospital. I was in a coma and Yash sat at my bedside holding my hand when my parents walked in. My dad immediately figured that there was something between us because no one would dare hold my hand otherwise, I guess that was the most memorable moment because Yash was there for me the whole day." And after that Yash went and met her parents. "Then I disclosed it to my parents too and within months our marriage happened."
After Pari came to their life
The birth of Pari changed our lives. It was like a dream come true. For so many months I was waiting to become a father and when I saw my baby's big eyes, just like mine, it felt so good. She was so beautiful that I can't take out my eyes off her," says Yash.
The baby's mother was also excited: "My days of pregnancy were the most amazing days - apart from the labor pain - but it's a different feeling when you take your child the first time on your hands. Their small, small hands feel so good that I don't have words to describe the feeling. Nothing changed after my sweetie came, but we both started giving her time and whatever we now do we think about her first. That it should not affect her," says Gauri.
How they manage work and personal life
"Marriage needs a tremendous amount of understanding," says Gauri, "Yash and I share a great deal of that. By now I know what will make him happy and what will irritate him. Though he does not want me to spend much time in kitchen I sometime cooks dishes he likes and he loves that. I love it when sometimes he gets flowers for me. It just shows that the person has thought of you." Gauri believes that for marriages sometimes the little thing matters a lot.
