Intro
Shiv Kapoor joined his father in Kapoor Group of hotels at the age of 23 and retried his father from all the work two years later. Today at the age of 30 he had made the Kapoor's a world renowned name in hotel and tourism industry. His grandfather started it with a small inn; his dad expanded it to other cities in neighbouring provinces/states. But it was Shiv who took it to soaring heights. He expanded it to the whole country and worldwide and now owns 250 sky scraping hotels. Kapoor hotels were best in the world. It was Shiv's hard work. He was talk of every business news, magazine, newspaper, tourism newsletter and so on. Everyone was jiving about how this young, tall, handsome, brilliant lad with sharp features have seduced and swept the hotel and tourism industry off its feet. According to fashion gurus he is stylish, classy, and distinctive with a touch of barbaric looks that can sell any product on market. According to the business critics he is keen, penetrating, very professional and an ingenious sly who can cut the deal which totally in his favour and make you feel you got the best deal in the world. According to his associates and employees he is the most generous and fair boss but you don't want to deal with his anger which comes like wrath of god. According to all the girls in the world he is handsome, charming, altruistic and affable debonair who dominates their dreams and enchants them with his honey brown eyes. According to his friends he is most compassionate and trustworthy person who will be beside you in every problem and happiness. According to his family he is very caring, loving, and dutiful who rules their hearts. He is the best son, grandson, brother and a little too much dedicated to his work. His family is now settled in Zurich, Switzerland but he travels all around the world. He is the youngest multi-billionaire of the world. This was Shiv Kapoor two years ago and still is but with a slight change in him and that is bitterness he had achieved in last one year.
Gauri Nanda is a girl who lives for her younger sister since their parents died when she was eighteen and her sister was twelve. She took a part-time job to support herself and her sister. She studied management on a scholarship and paid for her sister's study who wants to be a doctor. She got a job right away after her masters in Kapoor Hotel that is in Mumbai as a general manager. She is girl who prays every day. She is friendly to her associates. Every staff member adores Gauri. She is generous and customers just admire her for solving their problems. Wherever she goes she distributes love and brings smiles out on people's faces. Everyone share their problems with her but no one ever thinks she might have any problems too. She is always out there and working. Her associates call her magician because of the way she solves problems. She is the best sister in the world and can do anything for her sister. She is the dream manager of every hotel owner. Her biggest beauty is her simplicity. Her big chocolate brown eyes which are always decorated with kohl are most expressive pair of eyes. She has thick black waist length hair that can put night to shame. Her golden skin is always glowing. Her smile can light up a dark room. Dating was not on her list. There were too many responsibilities for her to handle. She cries during a greeting card commercial but has a very strong fighting spirit. She is 26, currently managing a small inn in Whistler, Canada and lives in the Employee Rooms. She is honest and takes pride in her work. And the most important detail she is Mrs. Gauri Shiv Kapoor from last two years.
Two years ago, Shiv and Gauri married each other. Shiv did that for the sake of his family and Gauri for her sister. All the members of Shiv's family wanted him to marry. His grandfather was very sick and wanted his only grandson to be married before he dies. But Shiv did not wanted a marriage. He has had his share of relationships and everyone was behind his money. So, he decided to have a contract marriage of one year. But who will agree to this agreement. Just in those days when he was searching for a temporary wife, he got a loan application on his desk. Gauri Nanda, age 24, general manager of one of his hotels in Mumbai wanted a loan for the tuition fee of her sister. He checked her background and she is was perfect. He met her and asked her to marry him and he will pay for her sister's fee and she will not have to pay it back. He explained her situation about his grandfather whose life was very important for Shiv. And for Gauri dreams of her little sister meant everything. They both needed each other equally. Gauri agreed and they both decided on the contract marriage of one year. The only person who knew about it besides Shiv and Gauri was Veer, Shiv's best friend, husband of his little sister Anjali and his lawyer. The contract was drawn and they married. They planned to have a big break up and have an annulment at the end of one year.
Gauri being herself won the hearts of everyone in the family. She was apple of Shiv's grandparents' eyes, loving daughter-in-law to his parents. This marriage gave her a family and she decided to cherish it while she can. She quit her job and took care of Grandpa whom she adored. Gauri found a best friend in Anjali. Anjali is a doctor and she helped her little sister Chaaya (as in shadow) a lot. Anjali simply adored her sister-in-law. They shared all their sorrows and happiness with each other. Gauri fitted so well there that whenever she was not there everything in Kapoor house went black and white. But there was something that their contract did not clear ' what happens if they both fell in love with each other? And they did fell in love. How could they not? She was so caring to his family and him. He was so compassionate and generous. They fit. They consummated their marriage in silent agreement of love. But still Gauri left him the day before their first wedding anniversary, day before Shiv was going to confess his love to her and tear that contract. But she left, leaving a letter behind her. And that day Shiv Kapoor changed.
Gauri sat in her room at six in the evening reading Anjali's e-mail about how grandpa was so sick and wanted to see her again. She received this e-mail two weeks ago. And she knew from the e-mails before that he was constantly being sick from past six months. They never talked about Shiv, everything but Shiv. Her luggage was packed, her vacation approved and her tickets confirmed. Today she was going back to Zurich to meet her grandpa, a Kapoor she still loved. And grandfather of Kapoor she tried every day to hate but never managed to. And somewhere in south Shiv was sitting in his New York office. He was staring at the tickets his assistant has given him before leaving. A pretty blonde with long legs but he was not interested. And he blamed Gauri for it. She had taken a good big chunk of him with her and nothing he can do to fill it. He will be flying back home today after all. After Gauri had left him he felt suffocated in that house. There was so much of her in that house that he was not able to breathe properly there. So, he was mostly travelling and occasionally visited his home. Home reminded him that no matter how much he loves Gauri and how miserably his attempts to hate her failed. But grandpa was sick and his grudges with her were nothing compared to his great old man. Oblivious to the fact that they will be meeting each other again, they made way to their respective airports. They had no idea what had destiny planned for them.
On another continent a young woman smiled to herself, reading the e-mails from of both Shiv and Gauri. She patted her back and said to herself, "Good Job...Plan Successful... They are coming... Time to go and tell partner." She shut her laptop and rushed out of the room.
Okay, so here is intro to my new ff.This going to be short ff but then again u never know with my mind. Compliments, Criticisms and Questions are Welcome.
