Manik Malhotra

Manik Malhotra is a college student who everyone loves and hates. He is a horrible person and a bully but every girl loves him because of his looks. He always bullies Nandini and first notices Nandini when he realises how quiet she always is.

Nandini Murthy

Something happened to Nandini when she was little and now she doesn't speak, she lets Manik Bully her and doesn't do anything.

Cabir Dhawan

Cabir is bisexual but decides to focus on girls after his previous boyfriend cheated on him with a girl, he is friends with Manik.

Navya Naveli

Navya has a crush on Cabir but she knows that Cabir is Manik's friend and she can't betray Nandini because she knows Nandini doesn't like Manik, because of this she tries to divert her attention towards Harshad.

Dhruv Vedant

Dhruv helps Manik with his feelings for Nandini and he has a crush on Alya but doesn't make a move because he knows she doesn't like him.

Alya Saxena

Is Manik's ex, she is jealous of the attention Manik always gives to Nandini, her childhood was bad and she pretends to be cold but on the inside she is hurting.

Mukti Vardhan

Is an aggressive girl who pretends she doesn't care about love and having a good boyfriend but on the inside yearns for someone to love her.

Harshad Saxena

Seems very arrogant but on the inside has a heart of gold, he pretends like his life is perfect but like his sister his childhood was horrible.

Soha Khurana

Is obsessed with Manik and will do absolutely anything to get closer to him, even if it means harming the people who get close to Manik.

Prologue

Nandini Murthy's POV

Oh god' I whine as I realised I had slept through my alarm, I didn't want to go to school, not when Manik and his gang could easily bully me, I hate them so much and I just let it all happen, I should stop them, I could but I can't I'm too weak to do anything, I don't do anything now and I didn't do anything then.

I stumble into the bathroom and stare into the mirror with disinterest, my appearance was boring, I didn't like how my limp hair just fell across my shoulders and how my mud brown eyes were just blank.

I walked downstairs to greet my Aunty and Uncle, they took me and my brother in after the deaths of our parents they are honestly the most kindest people I've met and they're the one's who've supported me after that incident.

My ringtone interrupts my chain of thoughts and I immediately answer the phone only to be greeted with the yell Nandini where are you?' I wince and remove the phone from my ear I'm coming, I'm Coming' I say as I rush down the stairs and open the and as I expected Navya stands their impatiently as she holds the phone to her ear and keeps taking peeks of her wristwatch.

I'm here' I say sheepishly, she looks up from her watch unimpressed and taps her watch, I smile and raise my hands to my ears hoping she would forgive me, her expression immediately turns into a smile and she grips my arm as we walk to college do you really think I'd ever be angry at you' she said as she hugged onto my arm, I shake my head and she nods her head. The rest of the journey to college I listen to her talk about the gossip of the college and pray that Manik Malhotra decides to not bully me today.

As soon as I enter college I am greeted with the Fab5 and I freeze in horror,the leader Manik just smirks at me as he holds my arm tightly making me wince, he looks confused for a second and his smirk leaves his face but just as quickly his smirk returns everyone around him starts to smirk after this action, Navya tries to reason with them but I grab her hand and push her away, she looks at me in worry, she knows about the incident.

Manik looks behind him and whispers to Dhruv, his best friend and I just stare in confusion isn't he going to do something, even Dhruv looks confused as he directs all of Fab5 apart from Manik towards the exit.

Manik looks at me with a daring look in his eyes as he drags me away from the public eye, he suddenly stops and pushes me towards the wall, his smirk leaves and a frown appears on his face "you're a mystery, you flinch and wince everything I so much as speak, are you really terrified of me' as he finishes his voice adopts a guilty and worried tone, I just stare at him quietly, I don't like talking to strangers, his expression turns to sudden anger as he punches the wall behind me "answer me" he yells in my ears, hearing his voice made me flinch and me me remember that incident, tears entered my eyes and Manik looks at me disgusted as he walked away.

Manik Malhotra POV

That girl infuriates me who the hell does she think she is, every time she looks at me her gentle eyes lose that sparkle, her lips start to frown but why? Why is she so scared? I open my locker harshly making it slam against another girls locker who whimpers, I glare at her and she leaves.

A note falls down my locker and I looks at it curiously, I'm about to read the note but the bell rings and interupts me, I put the note in my pocket and suddenly wish that Lunch time comes, so I could read the note.

All throughout the day I keep trying to read the letter but I never can at much time Alya brings everyone and they all talk to cheer me up and ask why the hell I wouldn't let them bully Nandini but I don't answer, Alya knows she's not my girlfriend but she continues to talk to me like as if I am her boyfriend, her incessant chatter continues to annoy me.

When the day finally ends I leave towards my car and drive home, I don't care about the fact I need to freshen up, I just go towards my bed and read the note, which says the following:

Dear Manik,

You said you wanted to know about me and why I seem so scared of you, I'll tell you only if you earn my trust properly, like a friend.

I stare at the letter angrily, this girl dares me to earn her trust okay Nandini Murthy you want to play I'll play I grab a piece of paper and a pen and sit down on my bed, I had a letter to write.
