Manik woke up with a jerk his forehead fill with drops of sweats, another nightmare it was a daily routine now. He stood up from the bed all sweating, and went inside washroom to get fresh.

MANIK'S POV

After taking a cold shower I came outside I can't stop this nagging feeling that something wasn't right. I haven't felt this before but something inside me is telling that something bad is going to happen. Uff maybe I am just going mad.

I went towards the cloth I discard last night. To take my diary it was very special to me I have written my best moments with her in it. Strange it provides me with such satisfaction whenever I write in it like I am conveying my feelings to her my Nandini.

MURTHY'S HOUSE

Nandini chal beta yha ase q bethi hai college nahi gana kya bht der hogayi hai'' said chachi coming inside her room.

Nandini was sitting on her bad with her head in her knees she quickly rubbed the stains of tears from her cheek and looked at a concern looking chachi

Nandini; chachi I am not feeling well I am not going to college today

Chachi: hy rabba bhukhar to nahi hai

Chahchi said coming near her and checking her temperature.

Chachi: bhukhar to nahi hai phir kya huwa

Nandini: chachi just a headache last night I slept late that's why

Chachi: ohh acha tu aram kar ok or bata mai market ga rahi hon ghar ka saman lene or or tera chacha or Rishab b ghar pai nahi tu rhe lai gi na

Nandini: yes chachi I'll be fine don't worry

Chachi: ok mai galdi aa gaon gi tu apna khayal rakhna theek hai

Nandini nodded Chachi kissed her head lovingly and left.

Manik rushed inside towards the pool side Aliya was already there. Manik reached near her

Manik: did u find it

Aliya: no I save looked everywhere it's not here

Manik: what shit

Manik looked here nd there and then something clicked inside his head

Aliya: Manik wait

Manik rushed out from there leaving Aliya.

Navya came inside, everyone was there except Nandini

Aryaman: hy Navya how r you

Navya: fine

Shahid: guys Raghav sir had called us to his office

Harshad: ok but Navya where is ahhh

He felt on floor clutching his mouth he looked up to see a furious Manik standing there. Manik held his collar making him stand again.

Manik (shout): where is it

Harshad: what the hell r u talking about dude

Manik punched him in his face again making him

Stumble backward clutching his jaw

Manik: Harshad I am warning u sharafat se bata dai tum nai meri diary kaha rakhi hai or else I will kill u

Harshaad:what diary mughe kuch pata nahi hai

Manik punched his stomach he was about to punch him again but Harshad held his hand and pushed him away.

Harshad: I DON'T HAVE YOUR DIARY GET THAT. Aare nahi hai koi diary mere pass damn it.

Aryaman: Manik what the hell this how could u just come here and start beating without any reason r u out of ur mind

Manik: diary tumhare paas nahi hai too

His eyes widen in realization he looked around everyone was there except

Manik (whisper): Nandini

Nandini held the diary in her hand her face was expressionless she was sitting like a dead body. Her tears had dried up a long time back.

MANIK'S POV

No no no no plz no she shouldn't know. I pressed the bell again and sighed. How much I want to deny this conformation I knew it is bound to happen. She will never forgive me.

The door creaked open and Nandini was standing there her face was lifeless and dull. Her eyes were cold and she was holding the diary in her hand. A lump formed in my throat.

Me:nn-Nandini

She just stared at me which made me swallow my words back. She pushed the diary at my chest and turned to close the door but I held it before it can shut. If not today then never,

Me: cc-can we talk pp-plz

She looked at me once then moved away from the door and walked inside silently. God her silence is killing me. I followed her silently inside. She sat on a couch and looked at me with no emotions anything I sighed.

Me:when I was small my mom she was never with me she never cared for me dad loved me and was always there encouraging me. My mom she never agreed with anything. What I wanted she would have no concern of it she will force me to do things I didn't wanted to like attending functions, trusts ,ceremonies etc and dad couldn't always saved me bcz he would always be away on business trips and all. Slowly I start getting problems like anger, anxiety, bipolar and all which I successfully hided from everyone even my friends but one day it all changed.
