WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
PROLOGUE
The scene opens in the party hall of a five star hotel of Mumbai. Dim lights , heart shaped balloons , red roses ...everything was just perfect to celebrate the day of love.
Most of the guests had arrived and some were still arriving.
A girl dressed in a printed crop top and black skirt was sitting in a corner , gulping drink after drink.
"Such a nonsense party this is" She blurted " Kuchh nahi hota this valentine n al...there is nothing like love..its all bullshit!"
"Chill Nandu" Navya said "True Love hota hai , and am sure you will find your someone special someday."
"I came here only because you insisted so just cut the crap and sit quietly.Else I will run away from here" She was very irritated seeing the entire ambience.
"Tu London me hi theek thi...pata ni yahan kya karne aayi" Navya murmured faking a frown.
Nandini wanted to reply but before that the host of the show started the announcement.
"Good evening Ladies and gentlemen , Tonight we gather here to celebrate the most eventful day of the year" The stage holder announced " Valentines Day is the day of love and friendship.I am sure all of you here have come with your respective partners but tonight there is a twist in the story"
The audience started hooting as soon as the host announced about the twist.
"Ok..Ok , I know you guys are really excited to know what the twist is but for that you guys will first have to open the envelopes that were handed over to you at the entrance...but wait a minute.Let me first announce what it is all aboutAs you all know that all the girls have been given a blue envelope and boys have been given a pink envelope.And...and..." The host sighed dramatically "And that envelope contains the name of your valentine for night..."
There was a loud noise from the audience.
"Yes ladies and gentleman ...tonight we have chosen a valentine for you guys.Hope you dont mind that...do you?"
"NOOO" Everyone shouted in unison.
"So on count of 3 , all of you will open the envelope .1...2...3...shooot!!!"
Everyone started opening their envelopes in their hands hastily.
"Just lemme open it" Navya took Nandini's envelope
"Do whatever , am least interested in this crap"Nandini replied in a casual tone sipping her drink.
"Manik Malhotra" Navya read out the name her eyes widened in shock.
Nandini heard his name and threw away the sip that she had just taken.
"What?" She asked in astonishment but before Navya could reply , someone else called her from behind.A familiar voice which she was hearing after 2 long years but still it had the same magnetism to pull her.
"Nandini Murthy" He called out softly and she froze on her place.
Surprise ! Surprise! Surprise!
