I ran through the dining hall to save myself from the monster because I knew once he caught me he will rip me apart.
"Nandini I said stop ", he yelled going all out of breath.
"Manik please...i said na I didn't do it.. really", even I was going out of oxygen yet I maintained a distance from him dodging in between the tables and chair.
The rest of the gang laughed their guts out. Mukti and Navya hooted for me while Cabir tried to instigate Manik by saying what a disgrace it was for him to not be able to catch his own wife. Manini jumped in joy to see her parents do this silly chasing game.
I eyed at the door and tricked Manik to take his position away from it and in one go ran out of the dining hall. Manik gritted his teeth and with more vigour now chased me. We ran through the corridors to the lobby to the deck.
"Nandini careful!!!", Manik yelled from behind but before I could take note of what he was trying to warn me from, I dashed against the laundry boy coming from the opposite direction. The guy fell dropping all the clean and ironed clothes in his hand.
"Shit!! Sorry", I mumbled an apology in hurry and ran before Manik could reach me.
I was wearing out now by the time I reached the pool on the deck, "Manik I swear I didn't do it..please", I pleaded now as he bore a deadly victorious grin on his face. He knew I was on the verge of giving up.
"Ho.. gaya.. bhag ke", he teased trying to catch his breath in between.
I again tried to make a run but Manik caught hold of my wrist and pinned me on the poolside lounger. We both were panting badly. I knew he could kill me.
"Ab hass ke batao..how you were laughing with the rest of them", he blocked me with his body and tickled my waist. I giggled unbearably and begged him to stop but he enjoyed seeing me like that.
"Ma..Manik..please..st..stop", I could hardly form words in between my laughter at the torture that his slender fingers wrecked on the tender skin of my waist.
Slowly he stopped and looked at my face with a soft content smile, he had missed the laughter that glow on my face since a long time. He fixed his gaze on my face trying to capture the minutest expression.
We were almost lost in our moment unaware of a peering pair of eyes watching us.
