Manik placed a hand on her shoulder.
She turned around and her world stopped. Standing at least six feet tall, he was hovering over her. For the first time, she noticed his perfect kissable lips, his dark hair, perfectly built muscles from up close. He was truly the Greek god himself.
"Our mate is some hot stuff" Nandini's wolf drooled.
She mentally slapped her wolf for thinking such thoughts at that moment. Tears were still finding their way to her cheek from her big doe eyes.
"Please don't hurt me" She flinched.
"Listen, you are my mate now. Stop crying. I am Alpha Manik Malhotra of the Crescent moon pack."He said completely ignoring what she said. His voice so crisp, like a melody to her ears.
"What's your name, my love?" He asked her. She shook herself out of her daze and a blush tinged her cheek when he uttered the words 'my love'.
"Nan...Nandini Murthy." She stuttered.
"Oh, daughter of an Alpha, I see. We are going to be the strongest couple, my love."
"Mujhe ghar jaana hai, please" she beseeched.
"Love, You are going to live with me from now onwards. Say your goodbyes to your family." He said calmly.
"Please, don't do that. I don't want to leave my pack"
"You don't have a choice, Baby." He said and within seconds, I was whisked into his muscular arms. Nandini's wolf danced in joy of being so close to him.
Stupid Mate pull!
Nandini's POV
I immediately rushed home, crying, to my mother. She was worried as to what happened to me especially on my birthday. I told her that I had found my mate. She said that I should be happy about it and that she too was happy for me. But, I knew I had to burst her bubble of happiness. I told her who my mate is and shock was an understatement as to how facial expressions changed. She seemed horrified that my mate was going to take me away from her. My mother mind linked my Appa and informed him about this. Both of them calmed me down saying we would still be in the same city and just a call away. Unknowingly, I fell asleep.
I woke up with a steady warm breath on my neck. I tried moving but something was holding me back. I opened my eyes and found that I wasn't in my room. I panicked and turned around only to my Mate, holding me close to himself. I tried pushing him away but it didn't work. I struggled a bit and I woke the monster up, who seemed angry.
"Leave me!" I said trying to push him away.
"No. Now sleep and let me sleep too." He said sleepily, yet angrily.
"NO! Where are we?! Why are you holding me?!" I yelled.
"This is the last time I'm telling you! You're mine! I will do whatever I please with you!" He growled.
I was in tears by now. Nobody had screamed at me before. I was brought up in a very calm and loving atmosphere. Not even my Appa had raised his voice on me.
"Hey, I didn't mean to shout. I'm so sorry. Please don't cry. It hurts to see you in pain." His eyes softened as he wiped my tears with his thumb. It sent shivers down my spine. Without a warning, he pulled me in a hug.
"You could always let me go back to my pack." I pleaded. His eyes became cold again. They scare me.
"Watch it, little mate. I don't have great patience when it comes to disobedience. Get ready now. You will be meeting my parents and family tonight." He said avoiding her plead.
"Parents? Already? I mean, I just met you. This is too fast for me." I said but he paid no heed.
He left the room, slamming the door hard, probably because of my plead to let me go. I, for the first time, had a full view of his humongous room. The walls were Brown and White. I was sitting on huge bed at one wall. The opposite wall had a shelf where a beautiful guitar was showcased. There was a huge walk-in closet to the side, which already had my clothes. Even my sketchbook and all my other things were here. Yes, you heard that right, I'm great at sketching, it always manages to calm me down just like my music. Strange. Next to that was another door, probably the bathroom. I slowly made my way in to the bathroom. It was just as big as the room. There was a glass wall, partitioning the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. All my needed toiletries were already placed there. Was I asleep for so long that he managed to get all this done? Wait, how did he know what I used?
I sighed and went to have a cold shower. This is my life now, there is no running away from this. I finished my shower and changed into my backless kurti and was combing my hair when door opened and revealed a half naked Manik, only in his pants. Damn! My wolf was drooling over his perfectly chiselled chest.
"Like what you see?" He winked at me. I widened my eyes and bent my head down in embarrassment, a blush creeping up my cheeks.
"You don't have to be shy, I'm all yours" he added. Gosh! I'm supposed to be hating this man but looks like that is going to be very hard.
"Don't wear that." He ordered. I looked up at him, confused.
"There are a lot of unmated males in the pack house, I don't want anyone coming near you, not until you're marked."
Oh that reminds me, he will mark me. Every male wolf will mark his mate by biting at a certain point on their neck. Each mark will be unique just like human fingerprint. The depth of each wolf's mark depends on the position they hold in the pack. This allows the predators to know who they are dealing with. Once he marks me, I will entirely belong to him. For an Alpha like Manik, the mark will be quite big, painful and very deep. Will I ever be ready for that? I have no clue. What I do know is that he can't keep ordering me to do what he wants.
"You go girl! Tell him clearly that you also have the right to do whatever you want! After all, a mate is supposed to be an equal, not a slave." My wolf supported me.
"I have a few conditions to stay here." I said. He nodded me to continue.
"I will still go to college. Still hangout with MY friends. And, I want my own room."
"You can go to college with me. No clingy male friends. And no, this our room. You will not get another room." He said while wearing his shirt.
I huffed at him and opened the door but he stopped me from going.
"I thought I told you to change."
"You can't always order me around!" I was getting angry.
His chocolaty brown eyes, which were now black, peered into mine, scaring the shit out of me.
"Submit." He said pinning me to the door. I will not submit to his wolf and obey his orders! I'm supposed to be an equal!
"Nahi!" I sounded adamant. My wolf boosting my confidence.
"Don't test my patience! Abhi ke abhi Submit to my wolf!" He said gritting his teeth.
I was too scared of his anger now. I just nodded my head, shivering. As if sensing my shivers, his eyes softened and went back to brown.
"Go change fast. I'll be waiting here." He said avoiding eye contact. I changed quickly not wishing to anger his wolf and we left to meet his family.
God, I'm so nervous! Will they like me? Stupid man, we just met and he already wants me to meet his parents. What if they hate me? What if I embarrass myself in front of them? So many thoughts were running in my head. I was involuntarily playing with the end of my kurti.
"Relax, they are not going to eat you up!" He joked. Suddenly I felt calm. I hated this feeling around him! I'm away from my family because of him and now he is taking me to meet his family! Great! This is just great!
We went to the dining room and found seven people sitting there. There was an old couple, I think his parents, and I recognised four of them from college, there was also another boy.
Manik introduced me to all of them. The boy was Abhimanyu, Mukti's mate and the couple were, as I guessed, his parents. They were all nice and jovial people, I don't know why only he is so khadoos.
The dinner went very well. I really liked his parents, they were very kind. They asked me questions about myself. After dinner, his parents excused themselves, leaving Fab5, Abhi and me.

Nandini- it's beautiful. I gave him a small smile.
Alya- it's so nice na, we are all in the same college!
Mukti- yeah, ab bhai agar Nandini ko zyada miss bhi nahi karenge. She winked at Manik.
Manik rolled his eyes and focused back on his phone. Does this guy ever smile? Always so khadoos!
After a little chat, everyone left to their respective rooms and I told Manik I will go for a run and come back. I needed my wolf to take control for a while so that I could vent out my stress. But, Mr.Alpha isn't very nice, is he? He told me or rather ordered me that he wants to tag along as it won't 'safe' for me to go alone.
I went to our room, thankfully without getting lost in his ginormous house, and packed a pair of clothes in a bag for myself, hung it over my shoulder and we set out for the woods. We reached in a few minutes and I shifted in mid air, my bones cracked, echoing in the silent woods. I looked over at him and he looked so huge! I had never seen such huge wolf before! We ran around the area, getting to know what was where, we returned back to the pack house. I went behind a huge tree, shifted back and put on some clothes.
Manik told me that he was going to show me the training camp tomorrow so that I could learn some moves for self defence. We changed into the night suits and slept, my back facing him and him pulling me closer to himself. Though I was uncomfortable with the thought of sharing the same bed, his hands on my waist seemed perfect.
