Chapter 2(B)
Manik was angrily walking when Cabir shouted from behind.
Cabir : MR. MALHOTRA!! STOP RIGHT THERE😡
Manik stopped on his place all shocked & stunned. He turned around & found a fuming Cabir standing there. He calmly said, "Cabir kya hua?? Tu itna gusse me?? Aur tune mujhe Mr. Malhotra kyu bulaya??"
He asked keeping his hand on his shoulder. But Cabir jerked away his hand angrily & said, "Mr. MALHOTRA WE NEED TO TALK"
With that he dragged Manik to an empty classroom.
As soon as he entered the room he pushed Manik away & asked in a slow & cold voice, "Tune kal Namdini ko kya bola??"
Manik : Cabir dekh! Tu shaant hoja hum baith kar baat karte hai...pehle tu...
Cabir : Manik tune Nandini ko kya bola??? He shouted loosing his calm.
Manik also lost his temper & shouted, "Yehi kaha ki she is just wasting her & my time...she doesnt have any interst in music...aur uski Mom ne usse kuch nhi sikhaya...Samjha tu..Ya phir aur kuch..."
His sentence was left incomplete as Cabir punched him on his face. Manik was shocked & looked at Cabir expressionlessly.
Cabir shouted : Tu jaanta kya hai uske baare main?? Huh?? Tu hota kon hai yeh decide karne wala ki usse Music aata hai ki nhi?? You know what maine galti kardi jo tujhe uska mentor banne ke liye bola...Galti kardi maine..."
Manik was still in shock & was listneing him silently.
Cabir continued : Tujhe kya lagta hai Manik ki sirf tu hi hai iss duniya main jo suffer kar raha hai...jiske saath sab galat hota hai...sirf tu ek hi hai jo pyaar ke liye tarasta hai?? Bol?? Bol naa!!
Manik : Cabir main woh...
Cabir : Nahi Manik...tu sabko apni rude side dikhate dikhate sach main waisa ho gaya hai...tujhme emotions hi nhi hai...YOU DON'T HAVE A HEART MANIK!!
And this was it Manik couldnt take it anymore.
Manik : Enough Cabir!! Aisa bhi kya kar dia maine?? Kya hua hai aisa uske saath?? Bol
Cabir : Tu jaana chahta hai naa..toh sunn!!
He saw Cabir's eyes a lil watery as he started. He was surprised to find Cabir in tears as he always a jovial person & made everyone laugh.
Cabir : Nandini jaisi aaj dikhti hai naa tujhe..ekdum chup si...khoyi si...naa self confidence aur naa hi kuch kehne ki himmat..Woh aisi nhi thi Manik..Woh aisi nhi thi! Tujhe pata hai Nandini ke Dad ko kabhi ladki nhi chahiye thi. Unhe humesha ek ladka chahiye tha par Nandini was born. Unhe ladka isliye chahiye tha ki woh unka business aage badha sake. Nandini ki Mom pehle se hi bimaar thi & when Nandini turned 10 she died. She used to teach Nandini singing as she was herself a singer. She wanted Nandini to become a famous singer..but...
He choked while telling the further story. They were sitting on a bench. Manik placed his hand on his shoulder & Cabir continued...
Cabir : Her Dad! He thought if not a Boy then she will only join his business. Par Nandini kabhi bhi business main intersted nhi thi. She told his father that she wanna persuade her career in singing bt he became angry & started torturing her to join his business. He..he used to beat her brutally...roz usse marta tha...aur kabhi kabhi khana bhi nhi deta tha. Nandini sab chup chap sehti thi kabhi kuch nhi bolti thi. Yehi sab roz chalta tha...woh roz usse marta tha..but jiss din she turned 18 she ran away! Navya was her schools bestfrnd. But woh usko bhi kuch nhi bolti thi. But one day when Navya saw her bruises she asked her...and then Nandini told her everythng! From that day Nandini used to stay wid Navya bt phir woh Navya ko pareshan nhi karna chahti thi isliye she shifted from there also & now she stays alone. Tujhe pata hai aaj bhi woh aadmi usse call karke dhamki deta hai!
He stopped & looked at Manik who was also in tears.
Cabir : Aur tune usse yeh bola ki uski Mom...
he chuckled sarcastically.
Manik looked down in guilt. He continued "Tujhe pata hai abhi jab tu usse woh sab bolke aaya naa...ki all this is waste of time...she doesnt have any interst in singing & all...uske baad pata hai kya hua?? Nandini was blaming herself that she is good for nothing & that her father was correct & also ki woh uski Mom ka sapna poora nhi kar payi. She was BLAMING HERSELF MANIK..TERI WAJAH SE!!"
Manik just closed his eyes listneing his last words. He was guilty of what he said to her, he was shameful & wanted to punch himself for hurting her. He wanted to apologize her, & support her for becoming a singer! And Yes! He would do that. He will apologize her & stand by her for becoming a singer. He was determined to do that. And unknowingly after listneing to her story he had developed feelings for her.
Manik : Cabir I..I'm sorry! You are right I'm a heartless person..I'm sorry!!
Cabir : Manik I know tu karna kuch aur chahta hai..aur ho kuch aur jaata hai..bolna kuch chahta hai & bolta kuch aur hai..but plss LIFE IS VERY SHORT TO SIT BACK & REGRET!!
Manik :I know Cabir. Ab tu dekhna how i'll train her & make a big singer! I promise!
Cabir : Thankyou yaar!
On the other hand when Nandini was sitting & crying Navya had also reached there to check upon her. She saw her in that state & was vry shocked. Nandini narrated her the whole incident with Manik & what all Manik said her. Navya listened to her patiently & then said, "Nandu tumhe pata hai Manik aisa kyu hai??"
Nandini gave a confused look & asked, "Kyu??"
Navya : Nandu Manik ko kabhi bhi pyaar nhi mila. Bachpan se hi is all alone inspite of having parents. He was happy with his father bt after he died he became vry lonely. Uski Mom usse sirf paiso ke liye use karti hai. Give & take relationship hai uska uski Mom ke saath. Konsi Mom aisa karti hai?? Isliye he is like this..Rude, Arrogant...woh dil ka bohot accha hai Nandu!
Nandini was shocked & in tears knowing abt Maniks realtionship with his Mom. She thought how can a Mother be soo cruel..so selfish!
She thought & was determined that she would bring him out of this darkness & give him all the Love! Yes! She loved him from the vry first day she heard his voice...well from his voice she came to know that he has a very pure heart! And also knew that something is missing...and he has a past! But didnt knew that he had such a dreadful past!!
Two ppl with so much pain in them are now determined to take away each others pain & give peace! What will be its conclusion??
