Part 31"Good morning sweetheart..." She said in her sleepy yet cutest way.
Manik was surprised to hear sweetheart from her.
He smiled at her openness but hid it from her. Though she was still sleepy but she is getting comfortable with him more and more everyday.
"Hey sunshine... Good morning... " he bend down on her and gave a kiss on her forehead.
She snuggles close to him putting her head on his lap facing opposite from him covering herself completely with the blanket.
"Hmmm... You smell so good..." She said inhaling his aftershave.
He traces his fingers on her head and smiled at her
He knew that she is very tired today... Because of his harshness last night. And he felt bad for that..
"Nandini... Abhi Abhi Tumne Kya kaha... " he asked trying to tease her.
"Kya..." She very innocently asked trying to avoid his question as she knows that he was talking about what she just now called him.
"Good mornings... Ke baad..." He asked bending down on her to see her facial expressions.
"Nothing... " she hide her face in his lap snuggling more.
"Nothing... Acha main yaad dilaaun..." He asked making her turned towards him to face him.
"No no... Please please please..." She held his hands laughing which was coming to start ticking her while covering herself.
"Acha acha... I won't trouble you... Now you getup and go take a nice hot shower than we'll have breakfast together..." He smiled whole heartedly.
She was soar all over her body because of yesterday's extreme love making of her beloved husband and she didn't want to get up right now...but she didn't want him to feel guilty of anything so she changed the topic and asked.
"Pehle yeh bataiye... Aap itni subah subah ready kyun ho Gaye..."
"We have to leave and reach the recording studio... Hum city limits se almost 2 hrs far hai... If we don't leave now then we'll hit traffic... That's why... Acha no more discussion... First drink this juice and than get fresh..." Saying that he handed over the juice to her and makes her finish it even though she was resisting it.
"Per mere clothes..." She asked him with a questioning look.
"My sweet heart... Tum Manik Malhotra ki wife ho... You think I didn't arranged your clothes... When we first came here... I setup your wardrobe here too... Along with others... So you don't need to worry about that... Now go... She lift her up in his arms and took her in the washroom and make her stand in front of the sink.
"Arey..Arey... Main khud chali jaaungi..." She was blushing and turned red. But he didn't hear any of her word.
Standing in the washroom...He turned her towards him and lift her face with his fingers and said.
" Nandini I know your body is soar on every part... You don't have to hide it from me... I can read you very clearly... " he paused and continued.
"Agar Aaj studio jaana Nahi hota na... Tou I would've given you a message and would've given you a nice bath... But aaj Hume jaana hai... Jaldi... Par I'll make it up to you...soon... Don't worry... And I know you will not let me say sorry to you... But still I'll say one thing..."
He cupped her face in his palms.
"Thank you for loving me so much... And letting me love you... But sometimes whenever I become hard or harsh on you... Please stop me... Otherwise I'll end up hurting you... " he pleaded and kissed her on her forehead.
She looked deep into his chocolate eyes and went close to his face and said.
"First of all don't think that you can ever hurt me... So apne mind se yeh baat nikal dijiye... And second thing is I think I am fortunate and lucky to have you in my life... And I wil never ever stop you from loving me... So don't even think about it..." She said touching his cheeks.
"I love you sweetheart... I love you." He embraces her in his arms.
"I love You more..." She too hugged him back.
After a few minutes he left her and went outside to let her take a shower.
And When she came out she was dressed in blue jeans and red sleeveless t shirt with a black cardigan which was fully covering her arms and neck.
They started having their breakfast, but Nandini notices that Manik was unusually quiet.
She asked.
"Kya baat hai aap Bahut serious lag rahe hai... Is there something that's bothering you..."
He came out from his quiet zone and looked at her.
"Haan ek baat tou hai... Actually ek situation aa gayi hai... Hamara jo rival band hai... They are giving everyone a hard time... And because of that the owner of the company has given us ultimatum to come with THE BEST option for this album..." He explained to her very politely. He didn't reveal much about Harshad to her because he think that it's not healthy to bother her with unnecessary information.
She didn't understand him fully so she asked him.
"Matlab..."
"Matlab yeh ki... What ever songs we were planning for the album now we have to change it or add something to it..." He again tried to explain.
"Tou phir aapne Kya soncha..." She took a bite of boiled egg and asked taking a sip of hot milk after it.
"Ek idea hai mere mind mein,... But I don't know if it'll work or not..." Manik looked at her with a side view and told her.
She was busy hogging on the food.
"Kaisa idea..." She asked.
"We were discussing to take you as a female lead for a couple of songs for our album..."he said casually..
"What..." She choked on the milk she was drinking... And starts coughing...
Manik got up from his seat and sat beside her.
"Nandini... Relax... Are you ok... "He started rubbing her back.
She came back to normal.
"What did you say..." She looked at him with watery eyes due to the choking.
"You want me to sing in the album... With you all..." She continued before he answers.
"But how... Like seriously..." She was still trying to sink in his statement.
"Nandini... Listen... I know it was a big thing for you... But... To be frank... Right now I need your help... Agar hum aaj... Yaani ki today... If we don't give our best than we can loose this deal... " he said with so much of disappointment in his tone.
"It's not like... Ki hamara loss hoga ya... We will not get a different deal.. No there's no such thing... But if this deal get canceled or due to some jerks type of people if we lost this deal to others than our reputation will be ruined in the music world... Don't ask me how... But these things work like that..." He was constantly looking at her facial expressions... To see what she was thinking.
She didn't say anything... She was in deep thought.
"Nandini... Kuch bolo..." He gave her a slight tap on her shoulder seeing her lost.
"Hmm... Main Kya bolun... Mujhe Kuch samajh Nahi aa raha..." She takes a deep breath.
"I'm not a professional singer... Singing was always a hobby for me... Aur Maine tou kabhi koi event ya function mein bhi Nahi Gaya... Bas Amms ke saath I used to sing..." she stopped in the middle.
"Nandini... Tum kitni achi singer ho yeh tou Tumhe bhi Nahi pata... You are very talented... You are a student of the famous classical singer... You know every note of the sargam... You don't even need practice... " he smiled appritiating her talent.
She looked at his face.
"Aap Aise hi mujhe praise kar rahe hai... Meri taareef kar rahe hai... Taaki main sing karun... But Manik... main Nahi kar paaungi... You know main nervous ho jaaungi..." She was fidgeting with her fingers.
He smiled as she is talking to him getting herself comfortable with him... She even takes his name and she didn't realize... He took her hands in his and turned her to him.
"Acha ek Kaam karte hai... Let's go and give it a try... You sing with me and record few songs and than let people decide how you sing and how talented you are..." He said calming her.
"But agar koi gadbad ho gayi tou... And what if I do any blunder..." Nandini was still skeptical about her singing.
"And..." She looked into his eyes
"What about the others Cabir , Dhruv , Aliya , Mukti what will they say... "She asked him.
"You think I didn't discussed with them... Arey baba after talking to them... Than only I took this decision... Don't worry..." He said.
"But... I'm still not sure... Main Nahi kar paaungi..." She was still hesitant.
He cupped her face in his palms and make her looked into his eyes.
"Meri taraf dekho..." When she looks up he said.
"Do you trust me..." She nodded her head in a yes.
"Than have faith in me... I know you can do it... Aur phir main hoon na... Main tumhare saath hi tou rahunga..." He said
"Maine music ko apna profession banaya because I love music... But for you music is in your blood... You have a natural born talent... So don't underestimate yourself... I know you are more talented than all of us FAB5 together..." he continued joining their foreheads.
"You think so... " she smiled hearing so much of good words from him about her.
"I know so..." He moved and side hugged her.
"So will you try..." He ask again waiting excited like a kid to hear her answer.
"Agar aapke jaisa encouraging husband ho Woh bhi jo Itna handsome aur charming ho jo apne charm ke Magic se kisi ko bhi convince karle tou koi kaise inkaar kar sakta hai " She paused and pinched his cheeks with love.
"Yes I'll try..." She gave a big smile.
"Really... Are you sure... Tum sach keh rahi ho... Oh my God... "He grabbed her in a bone crushing hug in excitement.
"You can't imagine... Ki aaj tumne mujhe kitni khushi Dii hai... I was thinking ki pata nahi Tum manogi ya nahi..." He continued hugging her.
"Waise tou I'm still nervous.. But for you... Just for your happiness... I'll give it a try..." She whispered in his chest hugging him back.
He kissed her on her head.
"Thank you so much for helping us out... And trust me you won't regret..." His face has a very satisfying happiness as Nandini is going to sing with him.
He knows that she has a good voice and she sings very beautifully.
"Acha lets finish our food and leave.. Warna Hume traffic milegi..." He said separating himself from her.
On the way he gave her the songs which he was working on yesterday. And asked her to see if she likes it or not.
She liked it and she was impressed by his choice of words in songs.
She remembers something and turning to him she asked.
"Kya hum Navya ko inform kar sakte hai... Ki I'm gonna sing with you... Woh Bahut Khush ho jaayegi..."
"Ya why not..." Manik answered.
Nandini called Navya and told her about her singing thing. Navya got very excited listening to her. She said she wanted to come and see her sing too. Nandini told Manik about Navya's wish. Manik said she can come. After their conversations was done Manik called Cabir and told him that Nandini is coming with him and she agreed for the recording. And he also told him that Navya is coming to the studio to see Nandini's recording.
They reached the studio where all of the FAB 5 were waiting for them including Navya.
As soon as Nandini came at the entrance Navya gave a warm hug to her and Nandini too hugged her back.
"Tou Nandini tum maan gayi... Gaane ke liye..." Cabir asked surprised..
"yes...but I'm very nervous... I didn't do any such thing before..." It's obvious to everyone that she is very nervous.
Cabir came beside her and side hugged her.
"Don't worry... Hum hai na... Hum log sab sambhal lenge... You just have to sing your lines... "
Nandini just smiled.
"Let's go in and introduce Nandini to Khurana..." Manik said.
Khurana was already waiting for them. As soon as they entered the office he warmly welcome them greeted them.
"I know guys you are very upset due to my last minute changes... But you know I'm a business man after all.. And I have to run this company... I hope you understand my situation... And if you guys give me what I'm expecting than trust me... No one can stop you guys from giving another successful album." Khurana put his two cents and ask them to show what they got.
"Mr Khurana... I want you to first meet my wife... Mrs Nandini Manik Malhotra... " Manik introduced her to him.
Khurana forwards his hand to her. Nandini too forwarded her hand with a smile on her face.
"Hello...how do you do." He said.
"She is going to sing with us in this album as a female lead for two or three songs..." Manik point blankly told him.
"But we don't know how she sings... And how can we take chances on a new comer..."
Khurana was surprised about their offer. Manik's face turned serious with the remark of new comer for Nandini. But he controlled.
"I know... I can understand your insecurities... Because you didn't hear her... Once you hear her then you'll know how talented she is...and its gonna be only for this album... After that she won't be singing..." He added.
"Ok let's hear her... And I'm telling you this better be good..." Khurana said again.
Manik was about to yell on Khurana but Cabir stopped him by keeping his hand on his shoulder.
"Khurana sahab... Woh Kya hai na... Jab aap Nandini ka gaana sunenge tab Aapko pata chalega... Without hearing you can't say anything... You know..." Cabir controlled the situation.
"Yes Mr Khurana... We heard her sing... And we can give you the guarantee that you'll like her voice..." This time Dhruv joined the conversation too.
"Ok if guys say so.. Than let's hear it.."
