"So do U want me to help U??" Manik repeated his question as his smirk slowly disappeared.
"Wo M...Manik..main..." Nandini whispered as she felt herself getting even more embarassed being caught red-handed by Manik.
"Ok..." Manik replied as he moved closer to Nandini and he was one inch away from her. Manik raised his hand up to unlock the bolt.
"U are free..U can go..." Manik replied to Nandini with a blank expression on his face.
"Manik.." Nandini whispered.
"U are not willing to do anything for the sake of my forgiveness, but instead U did one more mistake. U acted as if U fainted in front of me. Like seriously? One mistake after another? What do U think?? I will forgive U now?" Manik hissed under his breath as his expression turned into anger.
"Manik...I am sorry..." Nandini whispered softly as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Why are U even saying sorry when U don't mean it?" Manik asked with a disappointed look on his face.
"Sorry..Manik and I really mean it...wo haina..main...I got confused!" Nandini whispered as her eyes trailed away from Manik and her cheeks grew red from embarassment.
"Got confused?" Manik asked with a questioning look on his face.
"When U gave me only two options..either to skip class or to meet U..I got confused..I didn't know what to do..." Nandini replied in an innocent tone.
"Why?? What is so confusing about that?" Manik asked in a questioning way. "U can't even bunk one class for me?"
"Wo..agar chacha-chachi ko ya Amms ko pata chale..tho they'll be upset with me..and its wrong to bunk classes na?"
"So?? So U start acting?? Like seriously? U acted as if U fainted. If I had not caught your lie mid-way and had in a worried state taken U to a hospital or something I would've looked foolish! Did U even think of that?" Manik asked with an angry gaze in his eyes.
"Manik..sorry.." Nandini whispered her mind going blank. "Aage se main aisa kabhi nahi karoongi...promise.." Nandini said looking into Manik's eyes.
"Aage se? Do U think after what U did I will give U a third chance? I must be crazy to do that Nandini!" Manik replied turning away from Nandini and walking towards the bed. "Now U can leave.."
"Manik...please can U forgive me? Forgive me this once? " Nandini asked once again with a pleading look on her face.
"I cannot! This time..I seriously cannot, Nandini! U have been a drama queen all through and I don't like any sort of dramas and the Nandu..the Nandini whom I wanted to meet was innocent..pure..." Manik whispered looking away from Nandini.
Nandini started walking towards Manik with slow steps.
"Manik...what can I do for a third chance?" Nandini asked Manik tilting her head a bit sideways in a questioning look. Manik raised his head up and looked at Nandini. She had a determined look on her face. She was willing for anything.
"A third chance? Do U really need it?" Manik asked getting up from the bed.
"Yes...tell me..what should I do? I am willing to do anything..." Nandini replied looking into Manik's eyes.
"Then..Nandini...right now...right here...kiss me!" Manik said as he noticed Nandini's eyes widen into a shocked expression on her face. "Show me that U want a third chance...kiss me". Manik said with an intense gaze in his eyes.
"Kiss...?" Nandini said with a shocked expression on her face. Manik started walking towards Nandini and Nandini started taking steps backwards.
"Yes..kiss me...prove to me...that U really want a third chance" Manik replied with a smirk on his face.
"But how can I kiss you?" Nandini asked with nervous look on her face as she felt her back touch the wall. Manik bend down to look into Nandini's eyes.
"Why can't you? Now for a third chance..U must try harder. First time I gave U chance to meet me and say a sorry..I would've forgiven U if U had not lied about your name...second time..I forgave U for insulting me over phone...and then I wanted U to bunk your class and meet me tomorrow for a second chance...U lost it by acting as if U fainted in front of me and made one more mistake and to get a third chance from me...shouldn't U try harder?" Manik asked with an evil smirk on his face. 😈
"Manik...can I do anything else?? Can I do anything other than kissing?" Nandini asked turning her eyes away from Manik as she felt her heart throbbing against her chest.
"Anything other than kissing? Why can't U kiss me? Is it because I am not Dhruv? U would've kissed me if I were Dhruv, right?" Manik asked with a look of disappointment crossing his face.
"No..its not like that..." Nandini said suddenly "Dhruv...he is my favourite among Fab 5 from the start, but...but it was until I got to know U.." Nandini suddenly said without noticing what she was saying.
"Matlab? He is no more your favourite?" Manik asked as a look of curiousness spread over his face.
"He is my favourite...as an artist..but as a person he is not my favourite anymore." Nandini said looking into Manik's eyes.
"Achcha?? Then who is your new favourite?" Manik asked with a little smirk spreading over his face.
"Its...Its... Manik..." Nandini whispered "Manik Malhotra.." Nandini replied continuing to look into Manik's eyes without blinking for even a second as a new colour spread over her cheeks.
"Me?? I am your new favourite? Since when?" Manik asked with an excited look on his face. Nandini felt herself caught in the excitement in Manik's eyes. He looks so handsome when he has that excitement on his face..its like a small child who gets excited on seeing a new toy. Manik's eyes..they are so deep and pure. Nandini managed to whisper her answer. "Since...since the day I looked into your eyes...since the day...U appeared on tv without sunglasses...I saw a truthfulness in your eyes Manik. That moment...I forgot to notice Dhruv..I stopped thinking of Dhruv".
Manik couldn't believe his ears. "Now I am her favourite member of Fab 5?? Can't believe it!" A smile spread across Manik's face as he realized that he managed to make a place in Nandini's heart afterall.
"So please Manik...can U forgive me now?" Nandini whispered with a pleading look on her face.
"Hmm...since U said it that way...I can give U a third chance and this time..promise me that there won't be any more lies" Manik said with a little smile on his face.
"Ok...I promise..I won't make any more mistakes" Nandini said feeling a bit relieved.
"Ok...so we meet tomorrow like I said before. U are bunking your class for me...agreed?" Manik asked looking at Nandini. Nandini was speechless and she couldn't even act anymore as if she is fainting. If she does it again..Manik will be even more angry.
"Manik...can we meet tomorrow early morning before classes?" Nandini asked with a curious look in her eyes.
"Tomorrow early morning? Nah...tomorrow evening! I don't wake up so early in the morning!" Manik replied walking back towards his bed and sat upon it once again.
"Please Manik..tomorrow morning? We can meet...na? It's just one day..." Nandini replied in a sweet voice.
"No...I'm the one giving U one more chance and U are not fixing the time...since U said it that way...U are coming to my home tomorrow evening!" Manik said in an affirmative tone.
"Again?? Tomorrow evening?? But why tomorrow evening again? What will I tell chacha-chachi?" Nandini asked in a worried tone.
"I don't know what U will tell your chacha-chachi..its none of my business. U are meeting me tomorrow evening at 4.P.M and we will take it off from there" Manik said in an affirmative tone.
"Manik..but..." Nandini whispered.
"Ok before that...let me get you some clothes to change into!" Manik said "Your dress is wet and U will really catch a cold" Manik said as he walked upto the cupboard.
"He cares so much about me..even after all the lies I said to him...he is such a sweet person." Nandini thought as Manik continued to ruffle through his clothes. Manik brought out one blue jeans and a white shirt of his and handed it over to Nandini. Ok that door to the left is the bathroom...freshen up..go inside and change. After that I will take U back home, ok?" Manik said as he opened the door to exit from the room.
"But Manik...U are also..drenched..." Nandini said looking with a concerned expression on her face.
Manik didn't even notice that he himself was standing with wet clothes and though it had almost dried up but still it clung to him.
"Achcha???" Manik asked walking upto Nandini "Hmm...yes..I too need to shower...want me to shower with U?" Manik asked with a meaningful gaze in his eyes as he touched Nandini softly on her cheek.
"N..No..Manik! First U go and freshen up...then I will..." Nandini replied looking away from Manik.
"Ahh..how bad Nanduuu...you don't want us to take a shower together?" Manik asked with a naughty gleam in his eyes.
"N..NO!!" Nandini suddenly retorted looking back at Manik. Manik suddenly gave a wide smile. That smile was shining..glowing...so bright that it blinded her for a moment. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks as she found herself blushing.
"Ok...U first go in and take a shower, dramebaaz Nandu..then I will too..." Manik said with a naughty smile on his face. "Then I will take U back home". Saying this Manik walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Nandini smiled by herself as she walked upto the bathroom door and switched on the light. The bathroom was truly elegant..stylish. It was really clean and shining as if it was unused. Nandini hung the white shirt and jeans on the hook nearby and started taking off her clothes. There was option for both warm water and cool water. Nandini opened the tap for the warm water. Nandini felt amazing as warm water started flowing down her...draining her entire self with a new warmth...a new feeling...everything felt so new...Ayyappa..what is happening to me??
Suddenly the lights went off! Nandini looked around she could see nothing! Manik...Manik...there was no sound outside...it was silence.
Nandini found herself closed in bathroom in an unknown building..in an unknown place...away from her Amms and chacha-chachi. There was only one whom she knew..Manik.
"Maniiik...Maniiik" Nandini continued to shout as seconds ticked by. 😳
