I'd promised myself that if MaNan managed to make me smile for real this week, then I'd definitely the words to write about it.. and so here I am..😳
I cannot describe what these two episodes have been like.. if any of the old fans who were here during the merger days are still around, perhaps they can empathize.. at the time, the darkness was just a couple days long and yet it felt like forever.. this time toh it seemed like MaNan were lost for hamesha; and yet, ironic as it is, "hope" triumphed.. guess Nandu's brand of nave optimism isn't as unrealistic as people claimed.. "Miracles do happen" indeed! 😆
Personally, I had no expectations of the reunion.. so I cannot say that Manik's OTT speech fazed me.. it was typical him.. dramatic, impulsive boy.. lol..
but the editors chopping up Nandu's welcome hug into tiny bits.. ohh now that was annoying!😡
In real life, we underrate normalcy too much I think.. while I understand that many people may have anticipated a dramatic and emotionally charged patch up for MaNan, for me it was their quiet understanding that did the trick.. it was the realism of it all that won me over.. it was how her words have always had the power the to make him listen.. her little hands with the power to make him feel.. her soulful eyes with the power to melt his heart.. not once.. not sometimes.. but always.. hamesha..
Too many parallels it felt like to me.. A scene under the stars was once written to salvage a disaster.. this scene in the garden felt the same.. they.. being themselves.. he coming home to her.. she catching him up on events.. he reaffirming his place with her.. their mutual smiles of relief and contentment.. like water flowing down a hill.. pure, perfect, natural, meant to be..😉
As for MaNan parallels.. well there are the rose petals... which once she used to mock him.. and now he uses to serenade her..
and then there are the words of love themselves.. how easily he says them now.. this boy who once stubbornly insisted ki "yeh pyar nahi hain"
This has always been the essence of MaNan to me.. their growth.. their learning.. their constant progress.. time has taught them the importance of trust, of listening, of understanding, of believing, of dreaming and most of all, of hoping..
Set aside the externals like the story or the situation or the people and that is what remains as their foundation..
No wonder Nandu can so confidently state that MaNan is hamesha.. and yet she missed an important point.. it is not the stars and fireflies that keep them together.. it is their ability to shine and glow for each other..
His star. Her firefly. Our MaNan.
P.S: Special love to all the people I've ever interacted with before.. if you're around and you happen to see this, consider this a greeting and a hug from a Wish😳😛
EDIT:
Okay. WOW. What the eff happened here?😲
Definitely not the reaction I was expecting to my random ramble..😆
Anyway, I am touched and humbled..
And it also helped me realize something..
MaNan is the ultimate unifying force.. whether it's the offscreen drama or the SNSs or the forum, MaNan helps us all bridge the gap and find that common ground to co-exist..
So in the interest of keeping up that spirit and turning this into a discussion that we can all participate in, I will be posting individual responses to all your comments on the MaNan AT.. please free to respond to anything that interests you, regardless of who I'm addressing at the time...
Let's head home folks.. see you at the AT!
Cheers,
Wish😳
