manik was impatiently pacing here and there in the living room while cabir and his dad were talking with the commissioner and other people to track harshad somehow... manik's anger was rising to its peak and finally he bursted out

mu=bhai ...main aur nandini ek sath hi the party me..suddenly a waiter came and said ke apne nandini ko kitchen me bulaya and then she went. mujhe fresh hona tha so I went to the washroom and thats it

at that time the phone rang. manik didnt wasted a single second and took the call as he knew it would be harshad

harshad turned around and there she was, tied up in a chair. harshad took off the tape from her mouth. nandini was all sweat up but still she had the angry and disgusted look for him on her face

h=come on.. nandini say hello to ur hubby come on..come on!

harshad pulled her hair a bit and she hissed in pain

m=nandini !!..

his voice trembled hearing her painful voice. he started to feel weak but he knew he couldnt show his weakness in front of everyone. everybody around manik were desperate to know what was happening on the phone

m=harshad um warning u... agar nandini ki sharir par ek bhi kharoch ayi i swear i dont care if im hung to death but tujhe khatam karneke time mere hath nahi kapenge

mukti snatched the phone and put it on speaker

mukti looked at manik and abhi who were ready to dig harshad's grave. manik was about to say something but cabir stopped him

h=tum samajh rahihona mukti? and you know, ke agar mujhe gussa agaya toa main kuch bhi karsakta hu. yeh to tumhare bhai ki khushkismat ha ke woh bach gaya.. but tumhara bhabi.. agar this time mujhe gussa agaya toa um sorry baby i dont know if i will be able to control myself or not

everyone's heart skipped hearing the sound of fire. for a moment even manik was scared as it was about nandini.

h=relax baby, aur apne bhai ko bolo ke yeh toa ek trailer tha. goli asmaan me chali ha but.. you know mera nishana galat nahi hota so... i hope u understand. tumhare pass sirf ek ghanta ha mukti. aur ha koi chalaki nahi. kyuki maine sab plan kiya ha aur agar mujhe thora sa bhi bhanak para ke tum log koi hoshiari karraheho then... harshad turned towards nandini and smiled evilly.

he pointed the gun on her chin. nandini jerked her face off the gun

druv and cabir were trying to convince manik to stop him from going to save nandini. he took out his gun from the cupboard and was ready to kill harshad

m=enough is enough.. now no one will stop me now. um just gonna kill that bloody..

mu=bhai..please meri kasam apko ap esa kuch nahi karenge

mu=bhai nandini ki jaan khatreme hain and we all know that harshad kuch bhi karsakta hain. bhai please.

raj=manik tum waha nahi jaoge

m=dad..are u serious? nandini waha ha... woh rascal harshad..

harshad splashed water on nandini's face and sat infront of her

h=lagta hain tumhare pati ko tumse pyar nahi ha

h=lol.. as if u dont know?? tumhara pati ke sath ekhi college me parchuka hu main. ghamandi hain ek number ka, humesha apni behen ki life ke upar rule karta rehta hain

saying harshad pointed the gun on her chin and lifted her face with the gun

mukti entered the house . harshad smiled evilly while nandini was shocked.

n=mukti..tum yaha kyu ayi ho?? jaw yahase

h=wohh... finally my baby is here to me. but wait? tumhara bhai kaha ha?

mu=harshad jaisa tumne kaha tha mujhe akele aneko..main akeli ayi hu. bhai nahi aya ha..

harshad laughs

h=and u think i will believe that?? ke tumhara bhai kuch plan kie begar hi tumhe ese ane dega.. no no no, itna toa main manik ko janta hi hu..

inspite of mukti had forbidden still manik and abhi reached the place following her along with cabir and druv

dr=buddy kya hum theek karraheha? i mean harshad kuch bhi karsakta ha

m=druv.mat bhul...nandini and mukti they are alone..and that rascal can do anything.

ab=humhe jo bhi karna ha soch samajhke karna hain

suddenly they hear sound of gunshot and before anyone could say anything or do manik rushed inside... what he saw was harshad was holding mukti's mouth and nandini was tied up behind. seeing manik nandini's heart was relieved

m=nandini..

h=see mukti..maine kaha tha na? tumhara bhai tumhe akela nahi chorega

he left muktis mouth and grabbed her hand

mu=bhai ap kyu aye yaha?? mane apko mana kiya tha na

h=oww dont worry ab jab ahi gaya ha manik toa usdin jo kaam mera shooter pura nahi karpaya woh aj main kardeta hu

and he pointed the gun towards manik. but manik's eyes were fixed on nandini and mukti who were hell scared and asking manik to leave.

m=tujhe mujhe marna ha, mar daal...mukti aur nandini ko chor de

n=manik have u lost it.. just leave.

mu=bhai please go...please.

abhi cabir and druv also came there.

h=wohhh...reunion ha?? but dont try to act smart okay???

harshad pulled mukti close to him and encircled his hand around her neck tightly pointing the gun on her head. abhi was about to take a step forward but then harshad took another gun out from his pocket and pointed it towards nandini.

h=not so easily... mera nishana chutta nahi ha yeh baat manik ko pata hain and if u dont wanna see both of them die right infront of ur eyes...back off dude.

n=manik..cabir please..tumlog jaw

m=harshad um warning u... leave them

manik took step forward.

n=manik noo...

this time harshad pointed his gun towards manik

h=looks like.. nandini u have to see ur hubby die right infront of ur eyes... um sorry but i dont have any choice.

he loaded the revolver and fired straight at manik but mukti pushed the gun a bit and the bullet hit on the wall. taking the opportunity manik grabbed harshad's hand and fight began between them. abhi hugged mukti tightly while cabir and druv helped nandini to get off those ropes.

n=ya um fine...cabir manik ko roko please..

none could stop manik cause none of them was ready to back off. both of them were bleeding but who cares. at one point harshad pushed manik hard and he hit the other side of the wall. harshad quickly grabbed the gun and fired on manik but nandini came in between and the bullet hit her arm.

m=nandiniii !!!!!!

nandini clutched maniks arm tightly as within a second her arm was bleeding badly.

ab=nandini tum theek ho.

manik gave nandini to mukti and abhi and punched harshad hard on his face. his anger was now out of the level

n=guys..please manik ko roko..woh harshad ko mardalega

cabir had informed the police and they reached there and pulled manik off from the fight. he was still adamant to kill harshad but the police took him from there. manik rushed to nandini and grabbed her in his arms..

mu=bhai..lets take her home first

the doctor came out of manik's bedroom.

doctor=she's alright. bullet chu ke nikal gayi ha and thats why poison zyada phel nahi saka. medicines timese lengi then she'll be fine within some days aur ha abhi mane dawai diya ha so she is okay now

m=thank u doctor.

nandini was resting her head on the headboard with mukti alya and navya beside her when everybody else comes in. nyonika brought a glass of haldi milk for nandini

ny=beta..isse pee lena theek ha? aram milega

n=jee mom

nandini's eyes were searching for him but he was nowhere

n=mom manik kaha hain?

c=woh gusse me tha pata nahi kaha chala gaya..

dr=kuch bataya nahi usne

n=woh mujhe chorkar kaha chala gaya..

everybody heard sound and turned around. raj was standing with manik. he was looking at her but he had anger and tension in his eyes. she knew he must be angry with her for some reason or else he wouldnt leave her alone like this

raj=accha hum sabko abhi chal na chahiye, nandu needs rest so does manik and us. come on, leave them alone

nyonika kissed nandini's temple and patted on maniks shoulder before going out.

raj=take care of her

raj said to manik and left the room. once everybody left manik closed the door and locked it. nandini didnt say anything as his symptoms were indicating that he was angry. manik dimmed the lights a bit, took out his regular vest and track pants and went inside the washroom to freshen up

after few moments he came outside and saw nandini sitting on the same position. he went to his cupboard and took out one of his loose shirts and shorts for her as because she was injured in her hands it would be difficult for her to change into her regular night suit. he went up to her and carefully made her sit properly on the bed. all the time nandini was looking at him without any blink and he was not even looking at her eyes.

n=manik, tum mujhse gussa kyu ho??

he didnt say anything and carefully opened the zip of her gown while looking to the other direction.

n=baat nahi karoge?

he carefully undressed her and put on his shirt without putting force on her injured arm. then he helped her slip into the shorts and made her lie down on the bed and switched the lights off. he then came and lied beside her planting a kiss on her forehead but didnt say a single word. he was about to turn around but before that nandini hugged him tightly snuggling close to him

n=manik please agar kisi baat par gussa ho, please daato, jhagra karo but ese chup mat raho. your silence kills me. please manik, gussa ho toa kehte kyunahi???

manik caressed her hair and kissed her forehead.

m=meri taraf dekho.

nandini looked at him, he had some lone tears in his eyes. nandini quickly got up and switched the table lamp on.

n=manik kya hua..

he too sat up and pulled her in a tight hug and continued to say while sobbing hard

m=ha main tumse gussa hu, im angry with u reason janti ho? its u..

he broke the hug , she was sad too and confused

n=manik..maine kya kia...

m=mana kiya tha na mane ke its too dangerous? mana kiya tha mane ke harshad se panga mat lo i'll handle him on my own.. but nahi, meri baat tum sunti kab ho? dekha ab kya kia usne (points toward her injured arm) lekin tumhe kya?? tumhe toa apni fikar sabse badme hoti ha..kamsekam mere bareme sochti??? jaan tumhare hath se kitna khoon baha tha (touches her arm) aur main kuch nahi karsaka.. tumhe kitna pain hua aur main.

she ssshhhed him but slamming her lips with his. it didnt took manik long to respond to the kiss. it was a wild kiss full of assurance, security, promise and love. not breaking the kiss manik pushed her on the bed and came over her. nandini's fingers were running smoothly in his hair. he possessively bit her lower lip to taste each and every corner of her mouth and nandini happily granted him the permission. after a long kiss finally manik broke the kiss for the need of air.. nandini kissed his forehead and smiled

n=itna sara gussa mujhse?

he looked at her with a puppy face and red eyes.

n=sorry..agese kabhi esa nahi karungi. promise, i'm sorry manik meri wajase tumhe..

m=ssshhh

he put a finger on her lips

m=um sorry jaan, u needed me the most, i wasnt there. i couldnt protect u and now tumhe meri wajase itna dard horaha ha

n=hmm dard toa horaha ha, but iss chot ki wajase nahi, cause u were not talking to me. dubara esa mat karna manik. it hurts me the most.

manik smiles and pecks her lips once again

n=wase..tum kuch bhul nahi rahe???

m=kya???

n=wahi..party ke time tumne kaha tha...

she said with a sheepish smile playing with the stripes of his vest. manik smirked and kissed her knuckles

m=i remember jaan, but not today cause meri jaan ko theek hojane do, i cant let u feel more hurt in one day and this injury isse theek honeme time lagega na?? so not now..

nandini made a pout face and but eventually smiled as he pecked her pout

m=come on lets go to sleep... mera chotasa fragile body is very much stressed right now.

nandini smiled and put her head between manik's neck and shoulder and both of them drifted into sleep.

The Next Morning, breakfast table.

n=mom bass na aur nahi khana ha...

ny=nandu be a good girl, pura breakfast khatam karna ha beta cause u have to take ur medicines properly..

from the past twenty minutes nyonika was trying to feed nandini breakfast but she was behaving like a two year old kid who didnt want to have those healthy serials and oats. manik was sitting quietly and munching his toast and raj was smiling watching his son

n=dad.. ap smile kyu karraheho??

raj gestured towards manik who was sad sitting beside nandini

n=manik tum abhibi sad ho?? come on manik, mukti ki shadi hogayi ha ab toa woh toa apne sasural jayegi hi na?

ny=exactly beta, ese sad kyu ho?? woh toa ati jati rahegi na

m=im already missing her, dekho na mom, ghar kitna suna suna lagraha ha uske bina. subhah se dad ka newspaper leke bhagne wala koi nahi ha, pasta khaneka zidd karnekeliye abhi koi nahi ha and moreover mera credit card leke shopping pe jana.. i miss her mom

n=manik, we all love her and we know how much u love her. but now, uski apni ek new zindagi start hui ha, she has her husband and another family but iska yeh matlab nahi ke woh hum sabko chorke humesha keliye chali gayi. she is always with us and we are with her. so tum ese sad mat hou okay? and jaisa ke mom ne kaha... she'll be here every now and then so smile

he smiled hearing nandini

raj=mukti ne sahi kaha tha, uski bidaai ke bad sabse zyada sad manik hi hoga

ny=yeh toa hona hi tha.

m=dad ap bhi na.. accha mom main chalta hu office. aj zaruri meeting ha so i have to go and will come back soon

ny=theek ha beta but yes dont stress urself much okay? aur lunch time se karlena ap baap bete

raj=jee madam...

manik kissed nandinis cheeks and bent down close to her

m=apna dhyan rakhna aur khub sara aram karna okay? agar important meeting nahi hoti toa main nahi jata

n=mujhe pata ha.. abhi jaw aur jaldise kaam khatam karke wapas ao. okay??

he pecked her forehead once again and left for office gesturing a i love u

the full day nandini was at home with nyonika who didnt let nandini do a single thing. being bored she decided to call up alya and both of them made some of the designs for alya's upcoming fashion show. in the mean time manik too called her more than hundred times inquiring about her hand, her health, if she has fever, if she has taken her medicine and meal time to time and so on.

a=thank u so much nandini..u know mujhe toa samajh hi nahi araha tha ke itne sare designs main time se complete karpaungi ke nahi..but tumhare sath waqt kaise kat gaya..

n=thanks toa mujhe kehna chahiye alya. u know i was feeling so bored but luckily tum thi and tumhare designs complete karte hue i forgot about my boredom. wase alya ek baat puchu?

n=tumne kya socha ha? i mean tumhara career itna brilliant jaraha ha, so tumne apne aur druv ke bareme kya socha ha??

n=dekho alya, main bass itna kehrahihu ke its good to be ambitious, i know tumhare priority tumhari career ha tumhara kaam ha and its really much appreciating . but iss beech me just yehi kahungi ke druv ko mat ignore karna

a=nandini i know ke tum kya kehna chahti ho but its like ke.. druv aur ma abhi iss bareme nahi sochna chahte. u no shadi ek bohot bari responsibility ha. we love each other and yes we know ke humhe ek sath rehna hain but its like ke abhi we feel ke hum jaise ha wase rahe. itni bari responsibility keliye i dont think ke hum ready ha .. thats it

n=i can understand, but tumse sirf yehi kahungi ke time never waits for anyone. abhi mujhe dekhlo..main bhi tumhari tarah hi thi infact tumse zyada adamant thi ki shadi nahi karungi not now bla bla...but see, now um so much happy. dekha jaye toa abhi main apne job se zyada apne ghar me khush hu ulta manik mujhe push karta ha ke i should not leave my job..

n=i know... but dekho na, abhi hum phirse busy hojayenge

a=hey wait..next week toa diwali ha na??? i love diwali

n=even i love diwali... patake, mithai...gosh my favourite.

a=i have got a superb idea. lets us celebrate diwali this time in farmhouse

n=kaunsa farmhouse??

a=manik ka farm house. woh alibagh me ha. kuch ghante ka driving distance. bohot maza ayega...

n=im not sure alya, manik ne abhi abhi kaam resume kiya ha and upar se meri yeh injury dekke i dont think mera kharoos patidev manne wala ha

a=uski chinta tum mat karo. i'll talk to mukti and aunty. rest of the things aunty sambhal legi.

it was around 10 pm at night when nandini heard the sound of manik's car. she peeped through the window of her bedroom and yes he was there. after a few moments manik entered the room looking hell tired.. coat in his hand, tie loosen up with the first few buttons open. he kept his coat on the bed and sat on the couch closing his eyes for sometime. a sweet smile crept around his lips when he felt his favourite touch slowly massaging his forehead. without opening his eyes he holded the hand and pulled her on his lap and kissed her sweetly on his lips

m=i missed u so much.

n=i also missed u very much..

m=tumne dinner kiya??

n=umm nahi..

m=nandini kya yar, mane bola tha na jaan..

n=tumhare bina main dinner nahi karti dont u know??

m=but mane kaha tha na... iska matlab tumne dawai bhi nahi lee???

n=manik main theek hu..dekho mera hath

m=ssshhh.. stop being stubborn, tum bohot weak ho. goli lagi ha tumhe. jab mujhe lagi thi tab maine tumhari har baat mani thi, aur ab tum?? chalo pehle hum dinner karenge. aur uske baad medicine time

n=jee nahi, pehle ap fresh honge. look at urself, kitna thak gaye ho.

m=thaka hua tha. ... but these magical hands.. now um perfectly okay

he kissed her hands

n=but still tum pehle fresh hojaw.. then we will eat dinner together. tabtak dad bhi ajayenge

m=accha theek ha, i'll be back within five minutes

ny=woh... maine socha ha ke next week diwali ha so lets plan something.

m=nice idea mom.. ap bass bolo ke kya theme party arrange karni ha i'll do it

ny=nahi maine iss bar socha ha ke diwali sirf hum gharwalo ke sath hi manayenge

raj=matlab??? no party??

ny=party hogi..but only family members means us. nandini ke parents, aur humare ghar ke sab. aur yeh party hum farm house me karenge kitne din hogaye hum sab waha nahi gaye

m=but mom farmhouse pe toa kaam chalraha ha..renovation ka

ny=manik main tumhare farm house ki bat karrahihu, alibagh wala

raj=i think it sounds nice

m=but dad nandini..look at her, woh bimar ha...eseme travel karna

nandini made a face of disbelief as she knew he would say this.

ny=manik..its next week beta, and dont worry hum ha na, hum uska khayal rakhenge and i promise u she wont do any kind of stressful work

manik looked at nandini and she smiled sweetly at him

m=main sirf isliye yes bolraha hu cause mom kehrahiha but u wont work at all...
