"Shit!!! Couldn't you just dodge??", I bit my lip and rushed to Manik.

"Sometimes you really behave more immature than my daughter", he snapped at me holding his forehead and wincing in pain.

I frowned at his remark. It wasn't very great to be compared to your toddler daughter and also losing to her. I saw him trying to examine the cut on his forehead by his fingertips and I held his hand.

"Let me see it", I proposed in a compromising tone.

He gave me a mean look. Well he had the right because I was the one who inflicted the pain in him. But he didn't protest, I liked Manik when he was this obedient. I grabbed his neck and brought his face close to mine. The left hand side of his temple was swollen, with a small cut. I saw the blood clot around that area.

"Thank God!! The paper weight wasn't that big and just slid by", I mumbled under my breath and Manik just examined my expressions which I gave away while looking at his cut. That idiot was actually smiling to see me guilty. I didn't realize when I was pushed against the wall behind. I took my scarf and dabbed against the blood, blowing air in between to soothe his pain while Manik gaped at me without blinking. It was when his hands started tracing my waist that I spared a moment to look into his eyes and the moment froze.

Manik closed on me further, his uneven breaths sent across signals. I bit my lower lip in anticipation pretty sure of what was coming my way. He waited for me to object but I didn't. He took his chances and kissed my nose tip in a fraction of a second. He thought I would push him away or at least stop him but I didnt. For a moment we both forgot what we were doing. Once again we were at the bay of our suppressed emotions and feelings for each other. I could see that he wanted more and probably he could see I was in no mood to stop him. I stood on my toes to give him a lead and he lingered over my lips. I could sense that he badly wanted to kiss them but there was something holding him back.

I felt like slapping him, he looked unsure as if he was stealthily claiming his neighbor's wife. The moron was unabashed to do such stuff under open sky but in a private moment with me wanting it too he had to think a zillion times. I understood I had to lead him more and I grabbed his shirt to pull him closer, he tumbled and was millimeters away from his destination.

He looked lost as we both closed our eyes waiting for the moment of bliss to happen and our lips blending into each other in perfect harmony.
