PART-32 FIREFLIES...!!
Hello readers...!! Thank you for responding...!! So here I am with the next part...!! For the once who commented and liked the previous updates...!!
Let's move on with the story...!!

At nandini's place-
Nandini finally after a long staring session... took the gift out from the box...!!
Tears again made their way down...!! But this time manik didn't wiped them...!! As there was something different in these tears... and the difference was... HER SMILE...!! yes... she was smiling between her tears...!!
Manik was very happy... actually he was beyond happy seeing her smiling...!! He felt she has taken the second step towards herself...!! He had the reflection of nandini's happiness on his face...!! Her face was glowing with the glow of fireflies...!! Yes the gift was fireflies...!! When went to bring diary for her... he went back home to bring the jar of fireflies...!!
Manik wanted to capture this moment...!! He wanted to make this smile of hers memorable...!! He just took his phone and clicked a pic of her...!!
He then forwarded the pic... in the group...!! He wanted to share his happiness with everyone...!! He was smiling like a stupid...!!
( but what was nandini thinking...??) Fireflies...which was once the integral part of life...!! But from the day she became silent... she was fully silent... she didn't even expressed what she was feeling... to her fireflies...!! Fireflies... which made her feel her mother's presence...!! She had actually forgotten them in these two years..!! It wasn't that she left them purposely...!! It was the situation... which cut her off from... everything that she had loved once...!! Whether it was her amms... Rishabh... her friends... her Chacha and chachi... or her fireflies...!! And eventually so much of loss made believe in God to shake... and finally she started hating him for snatching her loved once from her... for snatching her happiness...!! Where her self prayed for everybody's happiness...!!!
She was a way to much hurt... to express herself to anyone...!! When she detached herself from fireflies... she started feeling more lonely...!! She lost the connection with her parents... with her mother...!! That's when she started felt that her parents also left her...!! The negativity in her started increasing...!!
And today after seeing them...she felt her mother was back to her...!! As if telling her... that it's time for her to glow all over again... just like these fireflies...!!
She was admiring the fireflies... with a constant smile on her face...!! She was trying to knock on the jar... just to make the settled fireflies... flutter...!! But due to her sling the jar was just about fall from her hand...!! She was doing all this in her trance...!!
But how can our hero let this happen... when he has a record in catching the falling jar...!! He just helped her to balance the jar in her hand...!! That's when both their hands were on the jar... and the fireflies showing their magic... just glowed with more intensity...!!
Nandini just then came to her senses...!! And backed off her hand...!! She moved back... but still there was something new... something different in her today...!! she backed off...!! Because... of the sudden glow of fireflies... which was too much for her eyes to see together...!! She closed her eyes... in anticipation...!!
Manik was feeling bad... as the one who used to feel happy on them glowing with full intensity... but now she cannot even tolerate that...!!
After few seconds she openned her eyes...!! And saw manik keeping back the jar in the box...!! As he kept it back in the box... she took it out...!!
Manik did it purposely...!! He wanted to see her reaction... when he keeps the fireflies Back...!! Whether she gets affected or not...!! While taking out the jar she saw something else c was also there on the box...!!
She kept the jar on the table... and took the other thing out...!!
Yes... it was a diary... which manik had got specially designed for her in just one hour...!! It had a fireflies jar at bottom left corner... fireflies flying at the corner of the cover... with firefly written at the center... under it her name was imprinted...!! She openned the diary... and there was a note in it...!! Saying...!!
' Welcome ur new life... with the glow of fireflies... as ur guiding light...!! May these fireflies bring back the lost light in ur life...!! Share everything with this diary... which u cannot share with us...!! Please let this light enter ur life... and make beautiful...!! '
She knew it was not cabir and navya who did this for her...!! She knew it was him who did this all for her...!! But chose to ignore it... but she didn't knew why she did that... but she just did not argue... or did anything wrong...! May be she was melting... or may be it was her mother's fireflies which bought some positivity with them...!!
She kept both the things back in the box...!! And moved to her room... along with the box...!! Manik wanted to follow her but she showed her hand...!! Telling him to stay here...!!
In nandini's room -
As she reached inside... she took the jar out again... and kept it on the bed... as she sat there...!! She kept staring at the jar... trying to express herself... to them... but failed...!! As it has been a long time...!! Since she had expressed herself ... as she all this while kept her emotions locked...!!
She lied down... along with the jar...!! Hugged it...!! After sometime manik entered... as he wanted to insure that she is safe...!! As he entered nandini closed her eyes... pretending to sleep... as she didn't wanted to face him right now...!! And manik thought she slept... so he moved forward... kneeled down near her bed... and kissed her forehead...!! And murmured I LOVE YOU... NANDINI... AND I AM SORRY...!!
He caressed her hair... and was getting up... when his phone buzzed...!! It was Navya's call... he picked it up... and said
Manik: Hello...( in slow voice...)
Navya: manik... jo he dekha kya wo sach hai...!!
Manik: haan... sab sach hai... she actually smiled can u believe it...!! Nandini muskurai...!! ( he said excitedly... but yet in low volume... as he was just moving out of her room... after switching of the lights...!! )
As manik left... nandini again openned her eyes...!! And tears fell from her eyes...!!
Nandini: Kyu...?? Why are u doing all this now ...?? Ur sorry won't make it all fine... ur sorry won't give me back what I have lost ...!!! It hurts... it hurts very much...!!
She kept blabbering... and didn't know when sleep took over her eyes...!!
In the hall...
As manik was still talking to navya... yes... can u believe that manik and navya were actually talking normally... but it was all because of nandini... they both had immense love for nandini... which eventually led them also to become friends ...!!
Manik: all of u just come here as soon as possible...!!
Navya: hum sab ko abhi msg karte hai...!!
With this they both kept the phone...!!
All left from Angel's villa. .. for nandini's house... they were also really really happy...!! They were happy that their plan has started working...!!It felt as if their happiness has returned after a long time...!!
At 7 pm nandini's place -
All of them entered together... and as they entered... they hugged together...!!
Navya had tears in her eyes...!!
Navya: thank you manik...!! It's because of u... that she is improving...!! Hum tumhara shukriya kitna hi baar kare kam hoga...!!
Manik: Navya... tumhe thank karne ki zarurat nai hai...!! Nandini mera sab kuch hai... agar uske liye jaan bhi deni padhe... toh I will never back out...!!
( Everyone there were admiring his love for her...!! And we're silently praying for their togetherness...)
Cabir: it's a very big day... let's celebrate...!! I am hungry let's eat something...!! I will get something form kitchen...!!
Saying he moved to the kitchen... and then they all sat there talking...! When cabir came back with a plate... and gave a glare to manik...
Manik: kya... ghur kyu raha hai...??
Cabir: ye kya hai manik...?? ( showing him the food in the plate...)
Manik : khaana hai...!! Bhuk ke maare teri Aankhein kharab ho gayi kya...!!
Cabir: meri Aankhein bilkul sahi hai... par mujhe lagta hai tera dimag kharab ho gaya hai...!! Khaana kyu nai khaya...??
Manik: ( avoiding eye contact...) ti pagal hai kya... maine khana kha liya hai...!!
Cabir: Achha then why there is only one plate in the sink...?? Haan... bol naa...!!
Manik: ok... fine... nai khaya... vo mujhe Bhuk nai thi...!! Isilye...
Cabir: Achha Bhuk nai thi...!! Subh se sirf vo halwa khaya tha... and u are saying ki Bhuk nai hai... amazing...!! Seedhe Seedhe bata de varna... ( Cabir said furiously...)
Manik : ok... cool down yaar...!! It's just that I didn't got time...!! First I made nandini have her food... then the gift... and the time passed just like that...!!
Abhi: tu Seedhe Seedhe bol kyu nai deta... ki nandini didn't said anything to u... or asked anything about your food... and is still not normal to u... that's why u are doing this...!!
( Manik just looked here and there... )
Manik : No... it's nothing like that...!! I said naa I didn't got time...!!
Abhi: yaa... right... if that's the matter then why didn't u had ur food after she slept...!!
( Manik accepted his defeat... and looked down...!! He didn't had any answer now...!! As in these two years abhi has seen him... craving for nandini...!! And he knew how she matters to him... )
Mukti: manik... by not having ur food what do u think we will get her back...!! For that u need to be fine... if u will fall sick then what haan...!! Come on now... have this food...!!
Manik: nai yr... Mann nai hai...!! I have it afterwards...!!
After his many tantrums... they some how fed him food... but he had only 3-4 bites... and said he don't want to eat... he said it in his commanding voice... that none had the courage to argue...!! And he moved towards the terrace...!!
...
All this was seen by a pair of eyes...!! Yes... it was nandini standing there at her room's door listening them...!! She melted a little more... seeing him ready to anything for her...!! But still her pain was stopping her to melt fully...!!

The day which brought a lots of hopes...and determination... finally passed away...!!
...
A new morning came... but the routine was same... they woke her up... aliya helped her to exercise... then she along with navya and cabir went to get her sling cut...!! Meanwhile manik talked to dhruv and dhruv assured him he will come back as his mother gets well...!! Manik didn't got Any hint of what was going on between everyone...!!
She returned... back... all of them were talking normally cracking jokes... taunting each other...!! Then everyone left making some or the other excuse leaving manik and nandini alone at house...!! Again there was awkward silence...manik silently taking care of her... trying to maintain safe distance form her... so that she doesn't feel uncomfortable around him...!!
His silent care... which he was doing without complaining... listening to all the harsh words which she would say...!! Was actually melting her... she wanted to talk to someone regarding her confusion but was not able to..!!
So she decided to write up whatever she feels...!!
Diary page-1
I don't know... what's happening... to me...!! I am not able to judge what's wrote and what is wrong...!! He cares for me... is always behind me ... whenever I turn for help...!! But how long...?? How to trust him again...? What if he again leaves me... all alone...!! Like everyone...!! What will I do then...?? I will not let him enter in my world again...!! No never ever..!!
Days were passing...
Now it was normal for manik and nandini to stay alone from the after till late evening... then they used to have dinner together...!! And off to bed...!!
In these days... they all observed a change in nandini's behaviour...!! Also started talking...!! A little... instead of just listening...!! Started to smile often...!!
Everyday she melted a little more... for manik... seeing his selfless care...!! His love... his faith in her... that one day she will become normal happy person...!!
Diary page - 18
Everyone is trying their best to help me to live again...!! I feel that I am getting better... but I am not able to decide... it's because of everyone or just him...!! His care is just making me weak day by day...!! The way he takes care of my diet...!! The way he follows me when i go for a qalk in the evening...!! Should I just forget everything...?? And move on...?? Should I just forgive him...??
Should I just trust him again...??
With this she slept hugging her fireflies... it has been her daily routine to sleep like this...!! Even she had started going for a walk by herself... in the evening when no one is at home... except for manik and her...!! And manik used to follow her... thinking that she doesn't know... but she knew... as it was the fifth day of her walk... when she was about to fall... but didn't... !! She in balancing herself just turned a little when she saw him... there... but manik hid immediately thinking that she didn't saw him...!!

Next day ... afternoon... 3 pm...
Again both of them were alone...!! And manik was giving her food... and he was himself feeding her...!!
She stopped him... saying that she will have it herself...!!
Nandini: I can eat... myself... u have ur food...!!
( Manik was shocked happy... surprised... when she talked to him.. calmly... and telling him to eat... but he composed himself and said...)
Manik: No... I am not hungry...!! U have I'll just come...!!
Nandini: No... stay here and u also have ur food...!!
Manik then finally sat and had his food silently...!! With constant smile on his face...!!
