Chapter 12: 'Being Alone' is sometimes all you need.

She entered in the meeting hall. All the cameras focused on her. I finally saw her, after godamn 6 years. I haven't seen even a single pic of hers in these years and now finally my eyes got the opportunity to witness her live. I was looking at the TV without even blinking my eyes for a second. She was wearing a black floral dress with a white blazer. Her hairs were pinned to one side which were falling on her face beautifully without even her trying. She was looking eternal. She has grown even more gorgeous, there's no doubt in that. I could not explain my feelings in words what I was feeling when I saw her after ages. But what I saw next irked me.
That idiot's hand was around my Nandani's waist. Like seriously? How can someone show off so much?
"Koi itna PDA kese dikha skta hai? Vobhi fake..", Dhruv entered in my room saying this.
I didn't replied. I didn't know what to say. My eyes were just on his bloody hand which was holding Nandu. I could easily feel Nandani's uneasiness but she was also helpless. I wanted to kill him at that moment only. But Nandani being Nandani get rid of his hold and sat on the seat in front of all the reporters and Madhyam too sat beside her.
"Well, we were expecting RaniMaa to be here with you Maam.. But..", One of the retorted reporter tried to ask Nandani but Madhyam cut him off inbetween, "She got stucked with some important work at the last moment. But I don't think so that you guys should be disappointed after seeing me here.", he said with a Smirk. What does he thinks of himself?
Another reporter said, "Not at all sir. In fact everyone in Raigarh waned to see their one and only princess with her fianc.. So Mam how do you felt when Madhyam sir himself came and picked you up from the airport?"
"Kya ghisa pita sawaal puch rhi hai reporter? Nonsense!", Dhruv exclaimed. This time also I didn't say anything and my silence was surely becoming an issue of worrying for Dhruv.
"I already knew that he's going to pick me up, so it was not a surprise or something..", Nandani replied.
"Maam you have returned after 6 long years.. We all know the mishap that has happened in the past, is that the reason that you never returned even for once in these years?", another reporter asked.
"Well, sometimes you just need a break.. A break from all the happenings around you. And the same case was with me. That's why I went so that I can come back with a new energy."
"So Madhyam Sir how was the wait for your lady love?", one of the reporter asked.
"You can do anything for your love and people wait all their entire life for their love, I have just waited for her six years (Looking at Nandani) and now that she has come so I won't let her go this time for sure." Ask the reporters specially girls went 'Awww..'. But I knew the real side of him. You know what he should be an actor. Bloody Moron!
"We all know ma'am that your friends, I mean Fab- 5 means a lot to you.. And you almost cut off from them after you went to Australia. So how are you feeling after coming back and Meeting them?"
"Obviously m very happy to be back and seeing them. They are my life and will always be.", She replied. I was happy that atleast not me but she is accepting others in her life back.
"So it means that we may hear Fab- 5 singing again together?", A reporter out of curiosity asked. Well, I really wanted the answer of this question. It had always haunted me. I want Fab- 5 back. But...
I could saw the hesitance in Nandani's eyes for answering this question but her answer surprised me, "Well, Fab- 5 will always be Fab- 5! No one can break that.. Infact Fab- 5 kabhi tuta hi nhi tha.. It was just on a break.. "
Madhyam was looking at her as if she has just announced that she is going to kill him. God! His face..
But Nandani's answer really shocked me. Was there seriously any hope? I was constantly asking myself this question but then a reporter asked an unexpected question.
"That means Maam, apke aur Mr. Manik Malhotra ke sare differences bhi door ho chuke hai? We all know Ki Vo apke kitne close friend the.. Itne Ki yahan tak yeh rumours bhi ate the that you guys are in relationship.."
Nandani cut that reporter inbetween with her cold voice, "I will really appreciate if you will ask questions in your limit..", she said this with such fierce that that reporter instantly stopped asking and looked down. If she hate me so much.. Then why she said all that about Fab-5 that we are still together. My brain was thinking about all the possibilities but couldn't conclude anything. I was glaring at Nandani's eyes that maybe, just maybe I could see even one percent hope for US, even one percent love for me, but no they were emotionless and cold! I have made my cheerful and bubbly Nandu into a cold hearted woman! God knows how many times I cursed myself at that moment. Dhruv was silently watching me trying to figure out what was going inside my head. I don't know why but I immediately switched off the TV. Maybe I couldn't take her hatred anymore. I asked Dhruv to give me some alone time and he also like an obedient brother and understanding my situation left without saying anything.

Not again! Just the mere mention of his name made me weak all over again. I really wanted to go from here. I was desperately waiting for the conference to get over.
"So Maam, we hope that you Have got the invitation for R.A.C. So can we expect both of you to be a part of it?"
Madhyam replied instead of me, "Obviously. We both are going there."
"Maam years back.. Lord Rama had also come back to their birthplace Ayodhaya after his fourteen years of exile to rule on the auspicious day of Diwali and you have also come nearly on the day of Diwali back to Raigarh.. So how are you going to celebrate Diwali this year with your family after six long years?"
"Diwali is a very grand festival and my favourite too.. So obviously it would be celebrated in a special way..!", I replied with a fake smile just for formality. At this moment I just wanted to go from here.
Finally the press conference got over after some more questions and I was the first one to go outside the meeting room. I was going to my room and found Cabir in mid way. He has obviously watched the live footage so understanding my state he just said, "Good Night Nandu.. Take rest.."
I smiled at him and wished him good night and then went to my room. Thank god Navya had already slept when I came. Maybe this Royal life is not suiting her that's why she is getting tired quickly nowadays. Anyways it was good for me as I needed some alone time. I got change in my night suit and went to the window. There is anyways a couch near the window of my room because I have always loved sitting at the window and facing outside. Today the wind was blowing in an unusual way. I closed my eyes and went back into those memories.
"So it's time for the result.", the host announced, "Well, to be frank no one should have any doubt that who should be the winner of Musicana this year."
Everyone in the audience started hooting.
"Yes it's none other than the band who performed in the place of 'Band Of Boys!'"
"It's Fab-5!", a voice echoed in the whole stadium and it was none other than Manik's.
Audience gasped and we five came on the stage to receive our first award.
"Fab-5! Wuhooo.. Nice name guys !! So it means now space has a brand new band that too with the dashing Musicana trophy in their hand." The chief guest came and gave us the award. Each one in the audience was cheering for us.
At Backstage:
"Thank you so much guys! U really saved us today..", Manik said looking at me and Mukti.
Manik, Dhruv, Harshad and Madhyam were a band- Band of Boys! But Harshad ditched them because of his some own personal benefit and Manik made him left the band. Then, Harshad being Harshad, he started creating problems between Madhyam and Manik. And after Harshad's repeated trials both best friends became enemies and their band broke apart. So me and Mukti helped them in this situation and performed with them, won the competition and Fab-5 was formed.
"No need to thanks yrr Manik.. It was actually fun. Right Nandani?", Mukti asked me.
"Offcource.. I enjoyed a lot.."
"Well but sabko naam kesa laga hmare band ka.. Fab-5?", Manik asked everyone.
Mukti and me become surprised.
"Hmara Band..?", I asked him to reconfirm what I heard.
"Han tube light! Hmara band.. Fab-5.."
"I toh just loved the ideaaa..!", Cabir said.
"You guys helped us when our own friends ditched us, and the most shocking part that without any practice and all, we performed with each other so well.. And won the Musicana..! It's not just a coincidence.. We all have a bond, which we can't deny. So lets just give Fab-5 a chance.. Our friendship a chance.. Our music a chance.. What's say?", Manik said all this and then kept his hand forward. We all accepted his idea and kept our hands on his.
I didn't knew then that Manik could ever think so deep. That attention seeker, full of attitude, prankster could ever say something so emotional, I couldn't imagine. But then slowly slowly I realised that a cute responsible gentleman was hiding behind that mischievous face. And why just me? We, that means Fab-5 we all get to know about each other so much. We were all different people but slowly we formed an unbreakable bond. Now, we became famous for our friendship in the whole school. We became Fab-5 in real sense. One for all and all for one.
I sighed, rubbed my tears and went to bed.
Here Nandani was alone thinking about Fab-5's past and there Manik was alone thinking about what would be the Fab-5's fate, Royal or Disloyal to them?
