Chapter 18 A
Manik lazily opened his eyes and look at his side but to his shock his bedside was empty. He got up with a jerk but sighed in relief to see his lady love standing near the glass window just in the blanket,which was loosely covering her shoulders and she was holding it from her front. Manik smiled and walked towards her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his face on her bare shoulder.
"Why are you up so early?"Manik asked softly,nuzzling his face in her hair.
"Nothing..! Why are you up? Tum so jaoa..!!"Nandini said politely ruffling his hair lovingly.
"Because you left the bed..! Islye meri ankh khul gai..! I can't tolerate your absence..!!"Manik said huskily nibbling her earlobe.
"Acha..! Sbha sbha he romance shuru..!"Nandini asked joyfully and Manik roughly turned her to face him.
"Apni wife say romance krny kay liye mjy time daikhny ki zarorat nahi hai..! I can claim you anywhere anytime whenever I want..!!"Manik said huskily leaning dangerously close to her lips.
"Itna confidence?"Maybe today Nandini was in a mood off teasing him.
"Confidence nahi baby..! Over confidence..!!"Manik said in a hell serious tone,with that he fisted her hair just to fuse his lips with hers. The kiss was very much wild. Manik bite her lips vigorously and Nandini moaned in his mouth,feeling her breathless Manik broke the kiss and with that they both fell on the bed. Manik threw the blanket away and once again started relishing her. Nandini helplessly wriggled under him as her hands were fisted in his hair to pull him more close and close to her. Suddenly Manik stopped and look at her face. Her face was glowing and she was panting heavily. Manik kissed her forehead and she opened her eyes with confused expressions.
"It was a trailer of your punishment for doubting me..! Picture abhi baki hai but my baby is exhausted..! So sleep again..!!"Manik said in a serious tone and Nandini smiled on his loveliness. While he got up to pick up the blanket. He covered Nandini again and laid beside her.
"I am not sleepy..!"Nandini said angrily when Manik was stroking her hair to make her sleep.
"But I am..!"Manik said yawningly.
"Tou?"Nandini said angrily.
"Tou ya kay if you don't want to sleep then don't but mjy company tou day do..! Cause I can't sleep without holding you..!"Manik whispered almost dozing off. Nandini smiled and kissed his forehead. Manik was really in deep sleep in few minutes Nandini kept running her fingers in his hair. How much cute he was looking..! Just like a adorable baby..! She kept staring at him and unknowingly fell asleep.

Next time Manik's sleep was disturbed by constant buzz of his phone. He angrily opened his eyes to look at the time and his eyes popped out it was 11 am. He saw Nandini sleeping and caller ID was Nayonika.
"Hello Mom..!!"Manik whispered on his phone.
"Manik..! Kahan ho?"Nayonika asked worriedly.
"Mom beach hut pay..! Nandini kay sth..! What happened you are sounding worried..!!"Manik again whispered as he didn't wanted Nandini to get up.
"Manik..! Bohat problem ho gai hai..! Tmhri Dadi is coming today evening..! Actually mainy tmhri shadi ka zikar kar diya tha un say..! Ab wo aa rahi hain..! I don't want kay un ko Nandini kay past kay bary main kuch bhi pta lagy..! Otherwise she will definitely create problems..!!"Nayonika was hell worried and Manik sighed in dismay. His Dadi was one of her kinda person. She was so strict..! Too much religious..! Too much standard obsessed lady..! According to Manik his Dadi was a "Purany Khayal ki aurat". Manik was very young when Mr.Malhotra died..! From that time his Dadi left their house as she wanted to live in some kind of orphanage of old people..! She very often came to Malhotra Mansion..! And whenever she came to meet them Manik was the most annoyed person on the house as because his Dadi always objected on his habbits..! For example: why he wake up late in the morning? Why he comes late at night? Why he wear funky clothes? Why he don't eat daal roti sabzi? Why he plays guitar? Why he sings? Why this and why that? In simple words we can say that "Manik aur us ki dadi ki bilkul nahi banti the"..!
"Mom..! Ap ko kya zarorat the un ko itna jaldi btany ki..! Ab agr unhn ny meri Nandini pay koi baat ki na tou me lehaaz bhool jaoan ga..!"Manik whispered angrily and Nandini moved in sleep,he immediately held her close and stroked her hair to make her relax,she was relax again.
"Manik..! Dadi hain tmhri behave..! Aur waisy bhi myny un ko islye nahi btaya tha kay wo itna jaldi aa jayen..! But now we can't do anything..! She is coming..!"Nayonika said worriedly.
"God..! Jab main sochta hoon everything is gonna fine tabhi koi na koi museebat aa jati hai..!"Manik said in an annoyed tone.
"Kuch nahi ho ga main hoon na..! Tum ya btaoa how was your date? Nandini nay apny bhaiya bhabhi ko maaf kiya?"Nayonika turned the conversation.
"Date was so romantic Mom..!"Manik whispered like a typical romeo and Nayonika laughed on the other side.
"It seems my baby had a very good time with his wife isn't it?"Nayonika asked naughtily and Manik smiled.
"Yup it was awesome..! Aur yeah Nandini has agreed to talk with her family and decided to forgive them..!"Manik said in a serious tone.
"Wow..! That's good..! Acha Manik myny Rishab aur Preeti nay pandit g say baat ki hai..! Day after tomorrow is good for engagement..! Moreover us kay 2 din baad Haldi phr mehndi phr sangeet and finally the wedding..!! Moreover Rishab and Preeti are living in our out house..! They also want marriage in Mumbai..! Not in Manglore..!"Nayonika told Manik and he was more than happy he wanted to get this marriage over as soon as possible.
"Thank God..! Acha Mom ap itna jaldi preparations kesy karo gay?"Manik asked curiously.
"Wohoo..! Boy don't underestimate your Mom..! I have everything in my mind..!"Nayonika boasted.
"Ok..! Looking forward for it Mom..!"Manik said smilingly.
"Chalo you enjoy your time..! Sham say pehly ghar aa jana..! Dadi kay any say pehly..! Take care bye meri jaan..!!"Nayonika said lovingly and hung up the phone. Manik's sixth sense was giving him hints that his Dadi will surely give him and Nandini a tough time. He look at Nandini she was sleeping peacefully. He lovingly tucked her hair behind her ear,then he kissed her cheek hard and she hide her face in his neck.
"Sony do na..!!"She said in an annoyed tone and Manik smirked.
"Acha..! Tum tou keh rahi the you are not sleepy..!!"Manik taunt her.
"Haan..! But abhi aa rahi hai..!"She said lovingly wrapping her arms around his waist,snuggling more and more in him.
"Hmm..! But I think we should leave now..! Today we will go to meet your Bhaiya and Bhabhi..! Aur..!!"Manik told and he was hesitant to tell her about his Dadi. Manik stopped and Nandini opened her eyes to look at him.
"Aur?"She asked curiously.
"Aur aj sham meri Dadi aa rahi hain..!"Manik said in a serious tone.
"Dadi? Aiyapaa Manik..! You have a Dadi..! Tum ny mjy btaya q nahi..!"Nandini suddenly became excited and Manik faked a smile.
"Haan..! Wo btany he wala tha..!"Manik stammered.
"God Manik..! Tmhy pta hai meri Ams bohat achi the..! But she died when I was of eight years..!!"Nandini told Manik innocently. "Tmhir Dadi bhi bohat achi hoon ge na? I am very excited to meet her..!!"Nandini said excitedly and hugged Manik.
"Haaann..! Bohat ache hain..!" Manik again stammered he patted her back but inwards he was praying to her Aiyappa to save him. Because he knew his Dadi more than anything in this whole world.
"Thank you Manik..! Mjy itne achi Mom dainy kay liye..! Aur ab Dadi..!!"Nandini whispered and Manik nodded his head.

"Acha phely tum fresh ho jaoa..! Phr main ho jaoan ga..!"Manik said lovingly.
"But mery pass extra clothes nahi hain..!! And I can't wear your shirt na..! Bhaiya and bhabhi say milny jana hai..!"Nandini made a sad pout and Manik instantly pecked her pout.
"You have..! Wo cupboard main hain..! Go and get them..! Moreover bathroom main jo pink toothbrush hai na wo tum use karna..! Blue main kar loon ga..!"Manik said pulling her cheeks.
"Sachi..! Oh God Manik you are the best..! I love you..!"Nandini said smilingly and kissing Manik cheeks she wrapped the blanket on herself. She opened the cupboard while Manik was just admiring her. She picked up the dress,it was pink floral knee length frock it was very cute...! She look at Manik who was smiling at her. She mumbled a thank you and he mumbled a your welcome. With that she went inside the bathroom. Manik immediately dialed Nayonika's number.
"Kya hua Manik?"Nayonika was surprised on this sudden call.
"Mom..! Nandini ko myny Dadi kay bary main btaya hai..! Wo tou itna excited ho gai hai..! Agr Dadi ki Nandini say na bani tou?"Manik was very worried now.
"Bachy kuch nahi ho ga..! Nandini akeli thori ho ge..! Tum ho gay main hoon ge..! Aur Nandini koi aise waise larki nahi hai..! She have strong family background..! Tmhri Dadi ko koi aitraaz nahi ho ga..! Bus aik baat ka khyl rkhna pary ga kay she doesn't get to know about Nandini's past..!"Nayonika explained politely.
"Yeah..! Ok..! You are right..!"Manik was still worried. After greeting each other they hung up the phone. Meanwhile Nandini came out rubbing her hair with the towel and Manik was once again awestruck in her beauty.
"Beautiful..!"He whispered near her ear and she blushingly look away. Manik held her chin to turn her face towards him he was about to capture her lips when Nandini palmed his lips. He gave her a confusing look by his eyes and Nandini gave him a naughty smile.
"Mr.Malhotra..! Ap ny brush nahi kiya hai..!!"Nandini said naughtily and Manik held her hand behind her back,pulling her towards him.
"Acha..! Mrs.Malhotra..! Myny bola tha kay mj pay doubt nahi krna and still you are doing it..! Full picture daikhni hai kya?"Manik whispered huskily in her ear and she trembled on her place. Before Manik lose control which he almost did Nandini pushed him in the bathroom. He winked at her and went inside the bathroom,while Nandini started drying her hair. Here inside bathroom after taking shower Manik wrapped the towel on his waist and suddenly reality hit his mind that he forgot his clothes.
"Damn..!!"He was annoyed suddenly a naughty idea came in his mind and he peep out. Nandini was finding something in the cupboard she was not attentive towards him. He quietly sneaked out and exactly stood behind her.
"Kuch dhoond rahi ho?"Manik whispered in her ear and she jumped on her place in fear. Manik smirked on her reaction. "What happened?"Manik asked naughtily. She turned angrily.
"Manik..! You scared me..!!"She shouted angrily the suddenly she look at Manik he was just in his towels. She palmed her eyes and turned her face. Manik smiled on as expected reaction,he placed his arms on both her sides on the cupboard completely trapping her.
"Open your eyes..! Look at me..!!"Manik said huskily which was enough to make Nandini shiver. She shook her head. "Nahi khoolo ge?"Manik asked and she again shook her head. Manik slowly with one hand unpalmed her eyes but eyes were still close. "Nandini..! I am your husband..! You don't have to get shy..! You have right on me..! We are each other's clothes..! Each other's skin..! Open your eyes baby..! Agr tum apni ankhain nahi kholo ge tou mjy lagy ga kay maybe mery pyaar main koi kami hai..!!"Manik explained lovingly and that was it her eyes shoot open and she shook her head in a no.
"Manik..! Please aisy mat bolo..! Tum nay mjy jitna pyaar diya hai wo mjy koi aur day he nahi skta..!"Nandini said worriedly cupping his cheeks. Manik smiled and pinned her both arms with the cupboard over her head. Then he gently placed his lips over hers,it was a very very soft kiss..! No urgency..! No haste..! No lust..! Just love..! Pure love..! Blissful love..! Manik left Nandini's hand and his hands travel to her back in search of zip. He unzipped her frock and slid a little from her shoulders,feeling his cold fingers on her back and shoulders Nandini felt weak on her knees. Then he broke the kiss and kissed her shoulders. Suddenly he realized what he had started, he stopped and pecked Nandini's lips, who was all ready to gave in.
"We have to stop honey..!"Manik whispered sadly adjusting his forehead with hers.
"I am all yours Manik..! I will be always there for you whenever you need me..!"Nandini's simple words had very deep meaning Manik smiled and pecked her forehead. Then he adjusted her dress and zipped it back. After that grabbing his clothes he went inside the bathroom to get ready.

"Manik..! Ya tou tmhra out house hai..!"Nandini said to Manik as they reached Malhotra's out house.
"Yup..! Your bhaiya and bhabhi are staying here only..!"Manik told her and she nodded her head. Once again her heartbeat was breaking all records as she was going to confront her bhiaya and bhabhi again. They stepped inside the outhouse. Nandini saw Rishab sitting in the lounge.
"Rishab Bhaiya..!!"Manik called him to get his attention he look at Manik and then at Nandini. He immediately got up. "As promised..! Your sister is here..!"Manik told him smilingly and tears again brimmed in Rishab's eyes. Nandini look at Manik he nodded his head and gestured her to go to Rishab. Nandini walked towards Rishab and he within seconds engulfed Nandini in his hug. Don't know from where suddenly Nandini's all complaints vanished away she too hugged Rishab tightly. Rishab was crying badly and Nandini too started crying. Manik smiled and quietly came out. As Malhotra Mansion and out house were in same area or we can say the wall of both houses were attached. So Manik came back to Mansion.
"Main..! Main ap say bohat naraz hoon bhaiya..! Bohat ziada..! Ap ko pta hai myny ap kay is hug ko kitna miss kiya..!"Now Nandini was complaining between her sobs like a child..! Just like she used to do one year ago.
"I am sorry baby..! Meri jaan..! Meri Nandu..! Please apny bhaiya ko maaf kar do..!"Risahb too sobbed.
"Nai..! Main bohat narz hoon ap say..! Ap ko pta hai is poray year main mera kitne bari chocolate khny ka man kiya..! Chinese khny ka man kiya..! Ap hoty tou mjy dila daity na? Koi ni tha jo mjy Manik ka poster la kar daita..! I hate you bhaiya..!!"Nandini was again complained like a kid and Rishab was in so much guilty.
"Mera baby..! Ab bhaiya aa gye na..! Ab main apny baby ko har cheez dilaoan ga..! Jo bhi mera bacha boly ga wo sab..!"Rishab said lovingly shushing her cries and she hugged him as tightly as she could.
"Nandu..!!"Suddenly they heard Preeti's voice,breaking the hug with Rishab Nandini clinged to Preeti. Three of them cried and cried as if trying to let out the pain of whole year.

"Bhabhi..! Main ap logon say naraz nahi hoon..! Bus ap log mery sth rehna hamesha..!!"Nandini said lovingly hugging both of them. "I love you both..!!"She said happily.
"We love you too..!"They both said in unison. Suddenly Nandini realized that she should go and check Manik.
"Acha bhaiya bhabhi main na zara Manik ko dekh kar ati hoon..!!"She said smilingly and run outside to look for Manik. Rishab side hugged Preeti finally FAMILY was back..! Nandini came back to Mansion and saw Manik in the garden. He busy in burrowing the mud of roses,sitting on the grass Nandini was facing his back. She smiled wickedly and without making noise she went behind him. She was about to shout in his ear when suddenly...
"I know you are behind me..! So don't even try to scare me..!"Manik said in a serious tone and remained busy in his work. Nandini frowned angrily and made a pout.
"Now don't make cute pouts..! Warna I will forget that we are in the garden..!!"Manik again said in the same serious tone and Nandini smiled. She encircled her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.
"You know me very well..!"Nandini said lovingly and Manik pull her in his lap.
"I can sense you..! Mjy na tmhri khusboo aa jati hai..!"Manik said lovingly and kissed her forehead.
"Acha why you left from there?"Nandini asked.
"To give you some family time..!"Manik said touching her nose and she felt something wet on her nose it was mud.
"What the hell Manik..! Mud seriously..!!"She said angrily and she too took some mud and smashed it Manik's face and soon there started a mud war. After pretty long 5 minutes both were all drenched in mud. Nandini run to save herself from Manik.
"Nandini come here..!!"Manik shouted.
"Catch me if you can..!!"Nandini showed him her tongue as she was busy in looking at Manik she bumped into someone. She look at the person. She was a lady..! Old Lady..! She was wearing a saree..! Light skin color saree..! The thing which made Nandini gulped her sliva was the Lady's expressions...! She was looking so much angry..! As Nandini was all drenched in mud so due to the bump Lady's Saree was also ruined. At the same time Manik came and he palmed his face. DADI..! He immediately stood beside Nandini and she look at Manik.
"Namastey Dadi..!!"Manik folded his hands in front of her but Dadi was staring at Nandini. Dadi's eyes were something which make Nandini nervous. Nandini hesitantly hide behind Manik to avoid Dadi's gaze she held Manik's hand to hide herself completely.
"Ya larki kon hai Manik?"Dadi asked in her ever attitude fulltone.
"Ya..! Nandini hai Dadi..! Meri patni..! Mera matlab honay wali patni..!"Manik stammered in full time hindi because Dadi didn't like to speak in english.
"Namasty Dadi..!"Nandini too folded her hands in front of her and look at Manik who gave her an assuring node.
"Tum is larki say shadi karo gay?"Dadi said in a teasing tone. Nandini was too much afraid of Dadi.
"Q Dadi..! Nandini main kya kharabi hai?"Manik asked raising his eyebrow.
"Kharabi nahi tou achai bhi nahi hai..! Kapry kaisy pehny hain is ny? Aur ya meeti..!"Dadi said in an angry tone and Nandini was on verge of crying. She expected Manik's Dadi to be sweet like Manik but she was so much different. Manik was about to say something when Nayonika came.
"Namasty Maa ji..!"Nayonika said and touched her feet.
"Jeeti raho..! Bahu..! Tum is larki ko apni bahu bnany wali ho?"Dadi after giving her blessings was back on the point.
"Dadi..! Pehli baat ya kay is ka aik naam hai..! Nandini..! Dosri aur akhri baat yahe mera pyaar hai aur is ghar ki bahu ya he bany ge..!!"Manik said strictly to Dadi and she frowned. "Chalo Nandini..!!"Saying that Manik dragged a crying Nandini with him.
"Main bhi daikhti hoon kay ya larki tumhri biwi kesy banti hai..!!"Dadi thought hatredly.
"Maa ji ayen na..! Andar ayen..!"Nayonika tried to handle the situation.

"Your Dadi hates me Manik..!"Nandini said crying like a kid while Manik was wiping her body to clean the mud. They were in Manik's bedroom.
"Nandini..! Tmhy shadi mjh say karni hai ya Dadi say..!!"Manik said angrily.
"Tum say..!!"Nandini said sniffing her nose.
"Tou..! Yar Dadi aise he hain..! Un ko meri life ki har cheez say problem..! She wants me to be a doctor..! Hahhh could you imagine Manik Malhotra..! Rockstar Manik Malhotra aik doctor chiii..! Dadi bhi na..! Leave her..! The thing is we are together..! And as long as we are together na..! We can handle everything..! Tou mera baby don't cry..!"Manik said lovingly and wiped her tears. Finally Nandini smiled and hugged Manik. Manik wrapped his arms around her and stroked her hair. Although he had consoled Nandini but he himself was very worried he knew that his Dadi was a tough nut to crack..!
