Part 11
After Manik went to he bathroom Nandini was blushing like hell. She cleaned the bedroom and went down to make some breakfast. She entered the kitchen and took out some oats to cook. While in the room Manik came out of the bathroom after taking shower. He was combing his hair when his phone started ringing.
Nandini was stirring the oats when Manik came from behind and took her in a back hug and started nuzzling his face in her hair. Nandini: Manik kya kar rahe ho?
Manik: Romance aur kya. Nandini: kyu?
Manik: Kyu matlab. Tum biwi ho meri. Theek hai to apni secretary se kar lunga. No problem.
Nandini gave him an angry glare.
Manik : Accha ye sab chodo main ye kehne aaya tha ki office se phone aaya tha ek urgent meeting hai to i have to go will be back by afternoon okay?"
Nandini: Okay! Breakfast karte jaao.
Manik: Nahi its fine. Office mein kha lunga.
Nandini: Arey but maine bana diya hai. Manik: Sorry na please. Half hour mein offices reach karna hai. Bye.
He pecked her cheeks and went to the hall to take his office bag. Nandini came to the door to see him off. She came back when her phone began to ring. She ran and picked it up thinking it would be Manik but she heard a formal voice "Am I speaking to Miss Nandini?" Nandini: Yes!
Voice: Ma'am aapne ek interview diya tha kuch months pehle."
Nandini: Nahi! Voice: Ma'am try to remember please. Nandini was thinking hard when she realised she had given an interview before her marriage to support the orphanage expenses but they had said that there was no vacancy but we would call you once we have a post vacant.
Nandini: yes! I remembered but unhone ne revert back nahi kiya.
Voice: Yes! Ma'am main usi company se baat kar raha hoon. Aap ke liye ek post khali hai aap agar continue karna chahti hain to kal se aajaiye. Main aapko address message kardunga. Thank you " Nandini decided to talk to Manik about it. She had her breakfast and decided to watch television for some time till Manik comes back. It was 1:30 when Nandini thought to call Manik.
Manik's Office
Some employee had not followed his instructions properly due to which his deal with the company had almost come to stake. He was in a very Bad mood when his intercom started ringing. He picked up and spoke angrily "what?".
The receptionist said hesitatingly "Sir aapke liye phone hai i am forwarding it to you" and she immediately did so. Manik was agitated and shouted on the speaker " What kya chahiye tumhe next time se don't call me. Understood?" "Hmmm" came reply from the other end and the line disconnected. As soon as Manik kept the phone after he vented out his frustration he realised what he had done. "oh shit was it Nandini" he recognised her voice by just a hmm. He immediately called the receptionist and asked call pe kaun tha? She replied "sir... some Nandini" He kept the phone abruptly and called his PA. Manik: Is there any meeting now?
. PA : Yes sir, Ek bohot important meeting hai. Manik: Okay. Five minutes mein aata hoon. Manik called Nandini. She picked up in the third ring, she was sniffing.
Manik: Nandini?
No reply came from the other side .
Manik: Nandini? Baby? Please kuch bola na. I am sorry main tumpe nahi shout kar raha tha. Mujhe laga koi aur hai.
Still no reply
Manik: Honey? I am sorry please talk to me.
Finally he heard a soft voice "it's okay, Manik ... I won't call you in office hours"
Manik: arey nahi you can call me any time but mere personal number pe okay?
Nandini: Hmm
Manik: ab to gussa nahi ho na?
Nandini: No.
Manik: Okay ! Bye i need to attend a meeting then i will come home fatafat.
Nandini: All the best! Bye
Manik: thank you and I love you!
Nandini blushed and disconnected the call.
It was 7: 30 Manik still had not returned Nandini was getting worked up. She went to the kitchen to make something so that when Manik comes he eats something. Just when she was busy with cooking she felt a pair of known hands snaking around her waist. She said annoyingly "Manik!!! Chodo " but Manik was not in mood to leave her he came very close toher and whispered in her ear almost touching his lips there "Sorry for being late" Nandini was lost in his actions when this sentence brought her to reality. She pushed him a little and said rudely "Don't you see I am cooking. Do not touch me". Manik became upset and walked out of the kitchen dejectedly. After fifteen minutes when Manik still had not come back she felt bad and came to the hall with two plates of fried rice made by her. Manik was sitting on the dining table with his head down. She kept the plates on table and ruffled his hair and asked "Aaj bohot kaam tha kya?" Manik just hmmed . She said "lo dinner karlo". He raised his head and without looking at her started eating. She sat beside him intentionally very close. Manik was observing this and was totally enjoying it.
After dinner Manik went to his room had shower and went to bed. Meanwhile Nandini cleaned up all the plates and was thinking of ways to please him. She went to the room and found him lying on the bed. She quietly went to her side and switched off the lamp and lied down. Just then Manik pulled her and hugged her.
Manik: No matter how angry we are on each other we will sleep like this.
Nandini smiled. She raised herself a little and pecked his lips and said " I am sorry for being rude". Manik said "Its okay" and pecked her lips in return.
Nandini: Manik tum morning mein keh rahe the ki you will romance with your secretary were you serious?
Manik: Of course! Why you jealous?
Nandini hit his shoulder lightly and then hugged him. She then remembered about the job proposal. She narrated Manik the whole conversation and waited for him to decide.
Manik : Of course you should take up this job. Okay so sleep now because kal se jaldi uthna hai. Chalo good night I love you.
Nandini: Good night! Love you too.
Morning Manik's office.
Manik was working on his laptop when he heard a knock on the door. He said "come in". A girl wearing tight formal skirt and a white shirt entered inside. Manik heard a very sweet voice saying "Sir i am your new secretary"
Manik looked up and was dumbstruck by her appearance. He got up and started moving closer to her. He jerked her by her waist and she crashed with his broad chest. He started nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck.
Secretary: Sir ye aap kya kar rahe hain agar aapki wife ko pata chal gaya to?
Manik: Don't worry main usse bol ke aaya tha!
Secretary: Mr Malhotra ye office hai behave yourself
Manik: Mrs. Malhotra agar aap itni hot lagengi to main apne aap ko control kaise karunga?
