"It's Manik. Alya and Dhruv just walked out on Fab 5... And they blamed -"
"Him. And me. Am I right?"
"Yeah... Mukti and I are gonna go talk to them, but he needs you right now."
"Ok... I'll handle it. And Cabir?"
"Yeah?"
"It'll be ok... Trust me!"

"Manik..."
A whimper, a moan.
"Oh Manik..."
"What did I do? What? How? WHAT DID I DO?"
"Shhh... Shhh... You did nothing wrong!"
"But they both said..."
"No, no Manik look at me... LOOK at ME! You are not at fault here... You are not wrong, you are not bad! You are good, sweet, kind... Ok?
"Then why?"
"Because they can't handle this... And you, you're like the parent... They can yell and blame you, because they know you'll be able to forgive them. Because this is the first time you've had a relationship with someone outside the Fab 5. Because their lives are spiralling out of control. Because they don't know what else to do with all their anger. But it has nothing to do with you."

"But how do I-"
"Fix this? First, you get up off this floor, calm down and clean off. Then, I'll take you home, make some coffee and we'll just relax for a while. After that, you can call Mukti and Cabir over, make sure they're alright and find out what happened when they went to talk to Dhruv and Alya. And finally, you guys will use your years of knowledge about your friends to plan something. You'll all talk, air out your issues, and eventually you'll start to heal whatever emotional or psychological issues you have."
"Will it work?"
"You have to believe it will for you to even have a fighting chance."
"How do you always know what to do?"
"I don't, it's just that I've been parenting an ill child for a few years now, so I know how to handle a crisis."
