My God!

Did we actually watch an IndianTv show heroine voice out her desires openly on screen??? That too with such nonchalance and ease!!!

WOW! WOW! and WOW!

This show just keeps getting better and better. After the fabulous writing which was majorly path breaking in the exceptional manner in which they handled intimacy and the matter of consent, all of last week, today, they went a notch higher when we they showed Nandini admit so matter of factly that she definitely wants to do it but will take time getting there. So real. So organic. The writers are hitting it out of the park consistently in this show. Kudos and a huge round of applause to you guys.

And Miss Nandini..what to say for u. Except thank you all the stars and Fireflies in the kY2 world for finally giving us a passionate, hot blooded, feisty and sexy heroine who is not afraid to express her want along with her love for her man and do so without any guilt, remorse or (most importantly) melodrama. Hats off to Niti for playing her so well.

Nandini had broke all d norms of telly world.
A girl has some feelings, some desires and she is not ashamed to accept it. She knows what she is feeling, what she is doing is not wrong. Such a refreshing change.
A modern girl doesnt mean that u have to wear short dresses. And it also doesnt mean that if a girl wants to do it then she is characterless.
Such a beautiful change. We r used to seeing heroines who just knows how to step back when their men cm to them but no1 had ever tried to match thei steps. It alqays feels like aat d guy only wants it. Ah! But manan r a diff game altogether.
My feelings r all over d place, wants to write so many things but words r nt cmng to me.

I can't thank the writers enough for putting the FL perspective so brilliantly.. Huge round of applause..👏

Yes, Sex or Physical attraction, desire is not only about men. She is not to be called despo, if she wants his touches, want's to hold him or takes the lead.

In reality Girl/women just don't lie there with eyes closed, with no expression and hands clutching the bedsheets.. As much as men enjoy it women do it too and they have the right to express their wants and desires. It's not a one-way street.

Coming to the show, Can't believe writers are keeping all these things so real and simple. They have given insight to Nandini's needs and feelings which is a beautiful thing.

They have shown her thinking about her growing attraction and effect of his touches in the initial days..

Then they have shown Nandini's realisation about love for this boy.. Thank god, Its not like dekha aur pavitr pyaar hogaya.. Every stage was explored.

And now intimacy.. such a rare thing was shown on-screen. Girl enjoys his touches, regrets nothing and she was aware of his needs too, which make her glow even more because she is desired and loved by her man!! The way she was looking at herself in mirror blushing, with a proud sparkle in her eyes, said it all. What adds to the beauty is the way she vocalises it and her actions make it all loud and clear.

And the best part is they respect each other's needs while their needs remain the same.

Yes!! he can't wait to make her his, can't control, yet thoughtful of her need to take it slow!!

Yes!! she needs time to come in terms with new feelings and gather herself yet she is allowing him to explore, letting him know that SHE WANTS IT!!

He doesn't regret wanting her then and there..

She doesn't regret taking her time to explore..

One more thing, Nandini did not promise her chachi that she won't have sex before Pandit ji(not TK) chants "Mangalyam tantu nanena"!! She just said she won't break their trust and do the right thing.. And she will do it when the time comes with no guilt or regrets.

Thank u CV's for this balance.. She will make her family feel proud of her and also keep her head high by doing what is right according to her.

In short Nandini's promise is no way connected to MaNan doing it..

Important to note that there is no silly heaving potrayed by FL everytime she is touched or there is an intimate scene. Allergy or asthma is what defines that insane heaving not love, so kudos to the team n to Niti for not heaving.

It's just so path-breaking and I feel the essence of it is not yet sinking to most of the crowd, this show has for the first time portrayed the FL's perspective about intimacy. She isn't bothered about Manik's past, she is aware of his previous active sexual life rather she understands this aspect of their relationship for herself, for her own wants, desires and her need to explore every facet of their love.

If there was this nervous excitement last week which held her back, she even then made it clear by her silent smiles that she wants it too. But because it's her first time, her body, emotions are adjusting to it , she will need to ease out so that she can match his tempo with her own note.

She loved his touch, enjoyed their intimacy and she had that pride in herself when she saw her own glowing relfection basking from their moments together.

Sharing it with her friend, discussing about how inevitable it is and she yearns for it too and not shying from understanding his needs as well. Nandini Moorthy has spoken for us and more.

She is the woman , girl that is there in all of us. Some might stare at a fiction character or a reel life hero and fantasize - because that is desire, want for intimacy and here was Nandu voicing it all for us about how we seek intimacy and SEX.

Bravo writers for not only making Nandini path-breaking by keeping her so real. You shattered the biggest myth of desi tv land where virginity is the measuring scale for morality and sex means - guy's need.

So kind of a rehash of what I said in mine. But like everyone put it in this thread, nice to see Nandini as an active willing participant in her love story and what she lacks in experience she makes up with confidence. Its nice to see a desi heroine in touch with her feelings and having the courage to act on it.

You bet! all that heaving on screen, be it tv or movies, just makes me want to fetch them their inhalers.

KY2 team and Niti specially have given us an exceptional portrayal of a young girl who is for the first time experiencing such intimacy. Very well written, executed and enacted. Niti has done a stellar job of bringing this phase of Nandini's journey to us, ably supported by Parth.

So many years of watching desi tv and I have never come across a heroine who touches the man she loves with the kind of haq that Nandini touches Manik with. Who wants to love him not just because it makes him happy, but also because she WANTS to. It makes her happy. A heroine who is a novice but not a passive participant in her love story. Nandini FEELS, and she WANTS, and she EXPLORES and she CLAIMS. Just like he does.

They are partners in the true sense of the word, and I am very grateful to the writers for giving us a heroine who is a PERSON, first and foremost, rather than just a convenient vessel to play off the hero's angst or his love. Watching Nandini today made me feel so proud of this show and this love story.

I love when she touches her man with Haq, claim just like he does . I adore when she longs for their intimacy just like he desires. She is an equal player in this love story.

He is not there to fulfill only his needs but because she NEEDS, DESIRES him too.

Novice she might be, but her heart yearns for the same high notes- and together make a beautiful symphony only because Nandini has been given that voice- finally. She is a person who has desires, wants, needs and who feels.
