Chapter 26 A

"Manik..!! What are you doing?" Nandini said tired to free herself from his strong grip.

"Shhh..!!" Manik shushed her by placing his finger on her lips. Manik leaned forward started kissing Nandini slowly yet passionately and Nandini sighed in bliss responding him with equal favor. Manik tasted each and every corner of her mouth exploring her mouth thoroughly. After some time Manik broke the kiss and Nandini hugged him tightly. Manik hugged her back suddenly he felt Nandini sobbing. He became worried.

"Nandini..!! Shhh what happened? Why are you crying?" Manik asked worriedly cupping her cheeks. He wiped her tears.

"Nothing..!! It's just Manik no one ever did this much for me..!! Mama Papa died when I was just of eight. There was no one to tolerate my nakhras..!! Chacha Chachi were very loving but they were not my parents na they handed over me to a maid she used to scold whenever I do some mischief..!! I felt deprived...!! I felt so lonely..! You know why I behave so kiddish with you because I know you will not scold me..!! You are the only person after my parents Manik who made me feel at home..!! You know why I always do these zid to you? Because I know you will tolerate everything..!! I know you will fulfill me all wishes..!! You know why I always kept blabbering so much to you? Because you always listen to me Manik..!! You know after Mama Papa no was there to listen to me..!! But you Manik..!! You are my everything..!! I love you so much Manik..!!" Nandini said all this so emotionally that Manik felt his eyes getting moist. He took her a bear hug and Nandini hugged him back.

"I love you more Nandini..!! And yes I will fulfill all your wishes..!! I am always there for you when you want me to hear you baby..!!" Manik said and Nandini knew that he really mean those words. Manik gently wiped his tears because he didn't want Nandini to see his tears.He gently tried to broke the hug but Nandini didn't let him do that.

"Manik..!! I want to go back to hotel..!! I am very tired please..!!" Nandini whispered. Manik knew that she was very tired so he didn't protested and he picked her up in his arms. She without protesting hide her face in his neck. Manik came out of the castle. No one was watching them because it was very normal for the people there to watch a couple in this state. Manik reached their car the driver was waiting for them. Manik carefully sat in the back seat with Nandini in his lap. And asked him to go back to hotel.

Nandini didn't know why her heart become so heavy suddenly. She wanted to cry. She was missing her parents a lot. But she knew that if she will cry then Manik will become worried which she didn't want. She snuggled herself more in Manik and Manik's grip become more tight around her. Soon they reached hotel Manik came to their room picking up Nandini in his arms. He placed Nandini on a couch.

"Nandini I am ordering your favorite pizza...!! You have to eat it..!!" Manik said showing her his finger. And Nandini quietly nodded her. Manik knew something was bothering her. Her unusual quietness was weird. Soon pizza was there Manik put it in front of Nandini and also sat beside her.

"Chalo let's eat..!!" Manik handed her a piece. Nandini push his hand away. "Don't you wanna eat it?" Manik asked with a surprise. Nandini didn't answer him she got up and sat on Manik's lap. Manik put the piece back and circled his arms around her.

"Nandini..!! What's up?Baat kya hai?" Manik asked lovingly.

"Manik..!! Mjhy tumhary hath say khana hai..!!" She said innocently looking in his eyes.

"Bus itne si baat hai na?" Manik asked with a doubt.

"Hmmm..!!" Nandini bobbed her head in a yes.

"Ok..!!" Manik said lovingly. Nandini placed her head on his chest and Manik slowly started feeding her. Manik was a little worried because whenever he feed she kept blabbering something. She was taking more time in swallowing then usual. Manik had fed her hardly half piece. Manik again brought the piece closer to her mouth she turned her head. It was a clear indication that she didn't want to eat more. Manik sighed he knew that Nandini can't hide something for so long.

"Bus?" Manik asked lovingly wiping the ketchup from her lips.

"Bus..!!" Nandini said nodding her head.He placed the piece back in to the box.

"Let's sleep?" Manik said and picked her up in his arms and lay down on the bed with her. Nandini was trying her best not to cry. Manik kept patting her head to made her sleep.

It was midnight when Nandini noticed Manik sleeping she was awake. She carefully untangled herself from Manik trying her best not to wake up him. She run towards the terrace. As soon as she stepped on the terrace she burst out in tears. Once again that night came behind her haunting her. It was a fact..! The worst part of her life..! No matter how much she tried to forget it she can't..!!

Manik turned in his sleep extended his arms to held Nandini but his eyes shoot open Nandini wasn't there. He got up from the bed and checked bathroom she wasn't there. He came to the sitting room she wasn't there too. So he concluded that she must be on terrace. He walked towards terrace. Nandini was sitting on the floor and was crying badly. Manik slowly sat beside her. She look at him and he smiled at her.

"Ho gaya?" Manik asked wiping her tears. "Now tell me why are you crying? What happened?" Manik said taking her in a side hug.

"Mani..!! Mama Papa..!!" Nandini didn't have words to explain. She don't know why but her tears were out of control. Those words were enough for Manik to understand that she was missing her parents. Manik took her in his embrace and rubbed her back. He knew how much it was difficult for her to forget that night.

"Nandini..!! Shhh bus na meri jaan..!! Don't cry I am with you na? I know you are missing your parents but jaan agr wo zinda hoty tou wo tmy kabhi ronay nahi dety right? Now come on be my good girl..!! Stop crying..!!" Manik tried to console her but in vain. "What to do?" Manik thought.

"Acha Nandini..!! Get up..!!" Manik said getting up from the floor and pull Nandini with him.

"What Manik?" Nandini asked tiredly. Manik dragged her near the terrace wall.

"Nandini you know what is my funda of life?" Manik said smilingly.

"What?" Nandini asked looking far away.

"When you are helpless na...!! Helpless in front of your destiny..!! Then let it go..!! Extend your arms in the air and take deep breaths I swear you will feel awesome..!!" Manik said happily and he himself stretched his arms in air. Nandini gave him a faint smile and extend her arms in air same like Manik and closed her eyes. They both stayed like this for sometime. Nandini took deep breaths and thought about the beautiful moments which she spent with Manik. A smile crept on her face. She opened her eyes and saw Manik looking at her lovingly. She smiled at him and came close to him. She held his shirt collar and pull him to made him bent. Manik happily obliged Nandini pecked his lips ever so lovingly and placed her head on his chest.

"Thank you Manik for always being with me..!!" Nandini whispering and Manik wrapped his arms around her.

"Anytime my star..!!" Manik said playing with her hair. He then slowly and carefully picked up her in his arms and walked towards the bedroom. He lay down on the bed with her. Nandini was lying above Manik doodling on his chest and Manik had his eyes closed. Nandini placed her hands on his chest and then she adjusted her chin on her hands to look at Manik.

"Knock knock..!! Manik are you sleeping?" Nandini said knocking Manik's forehead.

"Hmm..!! I will sleep only if you will allow me..!!" Manik said still his eyes closed.

"I want to tell you something..!!" Nandini said making a pout. Manik opened his eyes and look towards her.

"Hmmm..!! Bolo jaan?" Manik said lovingly patting her head.

"You know when I first time called you at your office and you unknowingly scolded me..!!" Nandini said and Manik nodded his head that he remembers. "At that you first time called me Nandu..!! Hai na? You know why I stopped crying? Because my Mama used to call me that..!! Whenever I cried na she always consoled by saying Nandu and sweet words like you do..!! You are my everything Manik..!!" Nandini was confessing with a lower gaze and Manik was like eating up the girl in front of him alive. How much innocent she was..!!

"Oh God I love you so much Nandini..!!" Manik said emotionally and took her in a bone crushing head.

"I love you more Manik..!!" Nandini whispered. Manik broke the hug and kissed her hard pouring his love in that one kiss. After some time they broke and Nandini snuggled herself more in Manik.

"Goodnight Mani..!!" Nandini whispered kissing his heart.

"Goodnight Nandu..!!" Manik too whispered kissing her head.

Chapter 26 C

"Haunted Mansion?" Nandini shouted. Manik had dragged her towards the haunted Mansion and now she was denying to go inside.

"Yeah I love to go in haunted houses..!!" Manik said excitedly and Nandini was too much afraid.

"But I hate these haunted mansions..!!" Nandini shouted to clear her point.

"But I want to go inside..!! You know when we were kids na we fab5..!! Once we went to a scary house hahaha OMG..!! The ghosts were trying to scare us and we all started laughing...!! They became confused with our behaviors hahaha..!! Oh God it was hell fun..!!"Manik explained her laughing badly remembering the incident.

"Manik..!!" Nandini said helplessly because Manik was too much determined to go in.

"Nandini..!! Come on honey..!! I will be with you na? You will be taken care of..!!" Manik said cupping her cheeks she nodded and hugged him. Manik smiled and hugged her back. He was really too much excited to go inside the haunted mansion.

They bought the tickets and now were waiting outside the Mansion.

Even the exterior of the Mansion was so scary that Nandini felt like her pounding out of her chest and she clinged to Manik. Manik was so excited he was looking here and there with full curiosity.

"Dkhna this will be the best experience ever..!!" She heard Manik and she frowned in dismay.

After a lot of wait they were lead inside by maids and butlers of the Mansion they were also very scary.

They entered the Mansion dim lights flickering candles and an organ was playing a single-note melodic line which will gonna serves as the theme for the rest of the ride all of these things were making everything more scary. Nandini cluctched Manik's hand more tightly.

"Welcome Foolish People..!! I am your ghost host..!! I will take you on the trip to haunted Mansion..!" They heard a scary yet mocking voice but the owner of that voice wasn't visible. Nandini trembled with fear.

"What was that Manik??" She asked a little horrified.

"Nandini it's nothing our host is welcoming us..!" Manik said calmly and Nandini felt like run out of the house. From the entrance they were lead into an octagonal type room Nandini was hiding behind Manik time to time peeping from his back.

As soon as they entered the door of the room suddenly vanished the room was seen like stretching and Nandini jumped. Manik was enjoying a lot. Suddenly a voice came from nowhere and Nandini's eyes widened in horror after listening to the words and those words were.

"Is this haunted room actually stretching? Or is it your imagination, hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: this chamber has no windows and no doors. Which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way out!"

"Manik? No window..!! No door..!! How will we go out..?" Nandini shouted and shook Manik's shoulder who was busy in noticing everything.

"Relax Nandini..!! All this is not real..!!" This was all Manik's answer and Nandini's heart was sinking.

As the voice spoke, the walls quietly seem to stretch upwards, elongating the paintings on them.Then suddenly the lights went out, lightning and thunder were piercing in their ears and Nandini started shouting.

"Manik..!!" Nandini shouted and side hugged him.

"Nandini shh..!! It's not real honey I am here..!!" Manik consoled her wrapping his arm around her. Nandini look at the ceiling she saw a ghost peeping from there and she felt her breath stuck in her throat.

"Manik bhoot..!!" She shouted and pointed towards the ceiling. But before Manik could see that ghost he vanished.

"Nandu..!! There is no one..!! Let's go forward..!!"Manik said and dragged her with him as the wall was now opened showing them the way.

Next they entered the portrait gallery. Here Nandini saw the portraits that change from normal to "spooky" every few seconds. Manik was clicking pictures and Nandini left his hand. Nandini was looking here and there while Manik was busy in clicking pictures.

"Huhhh..!! Yup Manik is right..!! All this is not real..!" Nandini boasted trying her best to act brave. Then she saw sculpture head of a man and a woman.

She went close to them. "So? You wanna scare me?" Nandini asked mockingly looking closer to the sculptures. "But let me tell you one thing I am not scared of you..!! Because my Manik is with me..!!" Nandini again boasted. She was about to say something when she again heard loud sound of thunder and what she saw next was enough to dry her blood she saw those sculptures turning their heads.All the bravery flew away she shrieked and run from there.

Manik was busy in taking pictures when he felt Nandini hugging him from behind she was trembling. Manik smiled and turned to see her.

"What happened now?"Manik asked holding her close to him.

"Mani..! Those heads..!! They are staring at me..!!" Nandini complained and pointed towards those sculptures.

"Nandini...!! If they are staring at you na..!! Then you also stare them..!!" Manik said and winked. Nandini nodded her head she liked the idea. Manik turned and again started taking pictures. Nandini hide behind Manik and started staring those heads. Manik started walking forward. Nandini followed him after showing her tongue mockingly to those heads.

After that they entered into a hallway. Everything was so scary Nandini was walking clinging to Manik. Then they walked on a staircase at the end of it was an conservatory. Nandini was looking here and there she saw a large coffin.

The corpse he was trying to break it and come out. Nandini's legs started tremble.

"Manik..!! Look at that coffin..!" Nandini diverted Manik's attention there and Manik held Nandini's hand to console her. The corpse in it was calling for help as if asking someone to help him come out. Nandini being Nandini felt pity for him.

"Manik should we help him?" Nandini asked so innocently that Manik felt like banging his head into the wall.

"Nandini do you have any idea what's inside it?" Manik asked in a serious tone.

"Of course I know..!!" Nandini boasted.

"Acha? What?" Manik asked.

"A human who need our help to come out..!!" Nandini said calmly very confident on her answer and Manik sighed in dismay.

"Come..!!" Manik said and dragged her near the coffin. The coffin was high for Nandini the thing Manik saw was not visible to Nandini. Manik clearly saw a boney hand without flesh. But Nandini due to her short height didn't noticed it. Manik picked her up to increase her level. Nandini become confuse.

"Look closer Nandini..! Are you able to see a human?" Manik asked naughtily. Nandini frowned and look closer to the coffin then she saw the hand and she shrieked. Manik got her down and Nandini hugged him.

"Manik he is not human..!! Aiappa..! Kahan phasa diya mjhy..!!" She shouted and Manik laughed out loud. They both started walking forward.

Then they saw large carriages. Those buggies like carriages were black in color. Nandini become confuse after seeing them.

"What are these suppose to do Manik?" She asked confusely.

"We have to sit on them Nandini..!! The rest of the Mansion ride will be on this..!!" Manik said and jumped on one of the carriage. Nandini's eyes again widened in shock. Manik extended his hand to Nandini. Nandini took it and Manik pull her up beside him.

"Manik..! I am not feeling well..!!" Nandini was once again afraid.

"Nandu come on main hoon na..!! Enjoy..!!" Manik said smilingly and Nandini smiled helplessly.Then the carriage ride started. The Doom Buggies continue down a corridor lined with doors Manik was capturing the ride in his camera and Nandini was looking at those doors. Screams and yells were heard behind the door. The ghosts behind those doors were begging to come out. It feels like some of the ghosts were coming out of the doors. Nandini was sweating with fear she look at Manik he was as usual very excited.

Chapter 26 D

Manik was trying his best to calm her down but Nandini was panicking a lot. She left no choice for him so he fused his lips with her. He noticed her eyes widened with shock she wasn't responding to the kiss so Manik pressed his lips hard on her to make her realize what was happening. Nandini came back to senses and she closed her eyes to respond the kiss. They kissed until they were breathless. Manik broke the kiss and rested his forehead with Nandini closing his eyes.

"Tum theek ho na?"Manik asked lovingly cupping her cheeks. She nodded. He pecked her forehead.

"Chalo..!!" Manik said as it was very late night but Nandini held his hand. "Kya baat hai Nandini?" Manik asked with a surprise. Nandini dragged his hand and stood up n a nearby bench. "What is going on Nandini?"

"Manik turn..!"Nandini said made him turn Manik was confuse but he turned. Now Nandini was facing his back. She climbed on Manik's back. Manik was surprise but he held her and smiled.

"So this what you want?" Manik said and Nandini placed her head on his back. Manik started walking towards the exit.

"I'll never ever go back to that Mansion..!! It was too much scary..!!" Now Nandini was blabbering her experience and Manik was nodding his head. Suddenly she saw a cotton candy counter. "Manik..!! Cotton Candy..!! Mjy khana hai..!!" Nandini said excitedly and Manik walked towards the cotton candy counter. Nandini was still riding on Manik's back. The shopkeeper smiled at them.

"Two candies please?" Nandini said cutely.

"Nandu I don't eat these candies..!" Manik said and what Nandini replied make Manik laughed out loud. She said "Manik both of these are for me..!! I always eat two candies..!!"

After sometime Manik was again walking towards the exit door and Nandini had two candies one in each hand. And she was eating both candies at the same time. Manik was continuously smiling.

"Nandini pehly aik tou finish kar lo phr dosri khana..!!" Manik said in a serious tone.

"No Manik..!! I like it this way..!!" Nandini said and again got busy in eating the candies. Soon she finished them and encircled her arms around Manik. She rested her head on his back. They sat in the car and reached hotel. Manik lifted Nandini in his arms she was fast asleep. He reached their room and made her lay on the bed. He removed her shoes and covered her with blanket. He wasn't sleepy so he just sat beside her. Suddenly his phone rang.

"Hello?" He picked up the call.

"Manik it's me Cabir..!!" Caller was Cabir and he seemed a little worried.

"Cabir..!! Is everything ok? You called at this hour?" Manik asked worriedly.

"Nothing is ok Manik..!!" Cabir was very much panicked.

"Hua kya hai Cabir?" Manik asked and walked out on the terrace.

"Manik...!! Mayank is out of jail..!!" Cabir said worriedly.

"What? How? Why? When?" Manik became horrified.

"I don't know..!! Bus I am telling you whenever you come to India na just beware of him..!!" Cabir said.

"Ok..!! I will..!!" Manik said worriedly and cut the call. "How is it possible..!!God..!!" Manik ruffled his hair panickly.

"Manik..!!" Nandini called him Manik immediately composed himself and turned. He saw Nandini she was standing in the terrace door rubbing her eyes. Sleep was visible in her eyes. Manik walked towards her and hugged her lightly.

"Why are you up haan?" Manik said adjusting her hair.

"You were not there na..!!That's why..!!" She said in a sleepy tone and yawned.

"Ok sorry..!!Aoa chalo so jao..!!" Manik brought her to the room. She lay down snuggling to Manik. Manik kept patting her head and she was fast asleep again. Manik gently kissed her hair.

"This time I won't let anything happen to you Nandini..!! I promise..!!" Manik thought and held Nandini close. Slowly sleep overtook him.

Chapter 26 is here. And I am late again I have lots of excuses but the big one is I had a practical exam. Ok those who are saying that Nandini's behavior is very childish I have explained the reason in this chapter. Mayank is back..!! How? Why? When? I'll explain later when MaNan will go back to india. Before you guys start panicking that please don't separate MaNan and all guys i will not separate MaNan i promise..!! Till then enjoy this chapter..!! And yeah you guys are not commenting lamba.!!
