CHAPTER 10

"THE CUTE REALISATION"

@ The airport:

Both of them had their dinner in the airport lounge and boarded in their flight. Both had adjacent seats. Manik was sitting near the window and Nandini in the other seat. As it was a two seater, she was comfortable, as no one will come and disturb her as last time. The flight departed. Manik was gazing outside the window when he felt something on his shoulders. It was Nandini. She fell asleep placed her head on his shoulders, in her sleep. Manik smiled and recalled the things that happened in the past two days.

Manik's POV:

What is happening to me? I wasn't like this before. The feel I have for Nandini is something special. She is pure. She is magical. Her eyes are a glimpse of heaven and they have their own language. Whenever I see her smile, I feel like I can set all the things right in my life. Even if she shed a drop of tear, I feel helpless and shattered. Every moment I spent with her is carved in my heart, I get a smile on my face whenever I relish them. For the first time I've found someone I hate leaving. I've found someone that I can't get enough of. Is this love???

After some moment of realization,

Manik: (To himself) Yes I am in love, I am in love with Nandini. She's the one. Finally, I have found the one who I can fall madly in love with...😊

Manik had a satisfactory smile on his face. He was happy that he had finally realized his true feelings for Nandini. And he was even more happy as he had found his true love. He then slowly planted a small kiss on the hair of his angel, who was sleeping peacefully in his arms.

@The Mumbai airport:

The flight had finally landed in the runway of Mumbai. The passengers were getting ready to get down from the flight. Manik who was also asleep, woke up and

saw Nandini who was still sleeping inclining her head on his shoulders. He was not at all happy to disturb her sleep, but he had no other option.

Manik: (slightly tapping her cheeks) Nandini get up, we have reached Mumbai.

After touching his cheeks, he realized that her cheeks were warm. She had fever. Nandini woke up and rubbed her eyes like a baby and yawned.

Manik: (panicked) Nandini, you have fever.

Nandini: (not taking it seriously) Oh...I played in beach na, may be so only I got fever I think. I'll go home and take medicine. I'll be fine by morning.

Manik: Are you sure? Or else can we go to the doctor now?

Nandini: No sir, it's not that serious. I just need a good sleep, I'll be fine then.

Manik: Ok, as you say.

They got down from the flight and came to the arrival, where Manik's driver was waiting for them. Both got into the car and headed towards Nandini's flat. In another 15 minutes they reached her flat. Nandini got down from the car and Manik helped her with her luggage till her flat.

@Nandini's apartment:

Nandini: Thank you so much sir, will meet you in office tomorrow.

Manik: What office? You are not going anywhere tomorrow. You are going to take full rest tomorrow.

Nandini: But sir, I'll be fine by tomorrow.

Manik: Its final, you are not coming to office tomorrow. Bye, good night. Take care! And yeah, don't forget to take your medicines.

Manik left from there leaving a confused Nandini behind. She then unlocked the door with the spare keys that she had. She sneaked inside silently as she did not want to disturb her friends. She came to the living room and switched on the lights. She was surprised as all the three were sleeping in different positions in the living room. As soon as she switched on the lights, Aryaman opened his eyes and shouted "Nandu". The other two also opened their eyes hearing his sound. Navya went and hugged her. After broking the hug,

Nandini: Guys, what are you doing here? Why aren't you asleep still??

Abi: How could we sleep ya, after knowing you are coming back?

Aryaman: Even you said us not to come to the airport. So we thought we will wait for you.

Navya: Yeah, we were watching a movie, and we didn't know when we fell asleep.

Nandini: (in a sweet tone) Really, so sweet of you all ! Love you all so much !!

All three in unison - "Love you too Nandu".

Nandini: Ok ok. You all go and sleep. We'll continue it tomorrow. Even I am very tired.

Aryaman: Ok, then you go and sleep, we'll talk in the morning.

All dispersed to their rooms. Nandini went inside her room and refreshed herself. Then she quietly went inside everyone's room and saw everyone asleep. A smile appeared on her face. She kept the gift she bought for them in the side tables of their respective beds and went to back her room. She went to her bed and was fast asleep as she was damn tired from the journey.

@Malhotra mansion:

Manik reached his home and rang the bell. As expected, Anjali opened the door.

Manik: Hey mom! Missed you so much!! (hugging her)

Nandini: Really?? I thought you had an awesome time by doing some exciting shopping' ?

Manik thought of Nandini for a moment and smirked. Anjali gave him a confused look.

Anjali: What's going on Manik?

Manik: (avoiding her) Mom, I am tired, I am gonna sleep. Good night !

Saying this, Manik rushed to his room to avoid further questions. Anjali also followed him. She took his bag and unpacked his luggage. She then found a saree inside his bag. Manik just came out of the washroom after shower.

Anjali: (showing the sari to him) What's this Manik? From when you started to wear sarees?

Manik: Oh I forgot to give this to you. Nandini got this for you.

Anjali: For me? It's so nice of her. Have you ever brought anything like this for me?

Manik made a cute pout.

Anjali: (pulling his cheeks) You are looking so cute Golu!

Manik: (angrily) Mom !!!

Anjali: Ok ok, you look so tired. Go and sleep now. Good night !

Manik: Good night mom.

Anjali left. Manik saw the white shirt, which Nandini bought for him. He looked at it and blushed. He was very tired but couldn't sleep. After-all he fell in love!!! How could he sleep any more.

The next morning, @Malhotra mansion:

Manik was still sleeping.

Arpit: Manik, get up..

Manik: Mom, please 5 minutes. (He realized that it was not his mom and quickly got up and saw Arpit sitting in front of him on the bed).

Arpit: Surprise!!

Manik: (hugging him) Dad!! When did you come??

Arpit: Just an hour before.

Manik: But mom didn't tell me anything.

Anjali: (came inside the room with a cup of coffee) That's because your dad want to surprise you.

Arpit: By the way my dear son, how was my surprise?

Manik: Too good !

@Nandini's place:

Navya, Aryaman and Abi woke up and they were surprised to see the gifts. Navya went to Nandini's room and she was still asleep. She didn't wake her up thinking that she must be tired due to the late night flight. Navya made breakfast for Nandini and kept it on the table. All the three decided to meet her in the evening and all left for work. Then after some time Nandini got up due to her non-stop coughing. She drank some water, which was kept in the side table. She had a high fever, but she was too tired to get out of her room for taking tablets. So she again banged her head towards the pillow and slept.

Sorry for this small update guys.. Actually my college has been opened this week and I hardly find time to write. So I thought I will post till whatever I typed. And I promise you that next time, the update will be really long, I promise. But I want some time for that. And coming to your responses, I am really very happy with your comments. Loved the update.. I think the realisation didn't come out that well... But you are forgiven because you didn't over do the process of realisation. I am excited about how Manik will act around Nandini, now that he has realised his feelings for her :)
