You look different... Tonight it was in a different context to when he asked her the day after her kidnapping. That day she was trying to build a wall around herself so that she can stay strong and get through the trauma she had gone through.
But tonight all her walls were down, she had let herself be happy, acknowledged that she was strong enough to finally tell him how she felt about him after all these months.
Here she was watching the stars so intensively a past time that she had loved to do with her father but had not been able to do with the same amount of happiness after his death. But here she was at peace with their death at peace with the stars and happily watching them discussing the constellations with Manik like she would have with her father all those years ago.
But Manik he was only interested in one star "His Star", he was in awe of her beauty, her innocence, her courage and her love for him. And so he looked on reveling in the happiness of the moments spent with her.
It looks beautiful...
She felt conscious and just a bit awkward at his remark of looking different and at her explanation of it. But he simply came closer to her, rubbing his fingers on her lips that fascinate him so much and whispered those words to simply put her at ease.
She will always be the most beautiful person to him and nothing can change that feeling. She then talks about her hair. The hair that he has always played with, smelled her scent on. She had wanted to open it but she lets him because she knows how much he loves her hair and how he knew the significance of her having it tied it all this time. She wanted him to be the one set her free from the last bit of emotional trauma that she was keeping inside herself.
Such a beautiful moment, the way she slowly turns herself so that he can remove the braid and how he gently puts his hand on her shoulder and gently takes the braid to remove it, one knot at a time. Brilliantly done.
The mood just sets in after that, how Nandini acknowledges her desire for him, acknowledges that she wants him in the same way that he does.
The way she let him know that she wanted to take the next step by putting away the stole. It was so subtle and real. Because in reality when you're in the heat of the moment you don't stop to talk your actions are what makes the other person understand that you're ready to take that next step.
This week gave us such a beautiful build up that ended in the most beautiful and sensual 7 mins of Manan. By the end of it we were left with contentment and happiness just like the happiness and contentment that Manik had on his face.
