Manik & Nandini - Stars & Fireflies 27

Today destiny gave Manik one more chance to believe in the stars. the very same stars which he looked every night trying to find peace, trying to find light and trying to find answers about him.. The past few days have been the most peaceful..the chaos were same, the darkness was still there, he was still bitter but yes there was peace, light and some answers...

All through the way to the college Manik and Nandini kept exchanging glances at each other..Blushing and holding back those tiny smiles that wanted to play on their lips..Soon they all entered the college and the whole Fab5 was waiting for Manik.. Manik got out along with DJ and Nandini, Alya, Mukti and Dhruv were shocked to see Nandini with them.. Cabir smiled and winked at DJ gesturing the success of day1.. As Cabir and DJ were sign chatting Navya walked in and shouted "Nandini you are back.." Cabir looked at her and gestured DJ to work on them too.. DJ nodded in yes...

All this while Alya was getting very jealous and in an impulse she went to Manik and hugged him in front of all.. DJ was mighty pissed at this behaviour of hers and took Nandini and Navya's hand and walked off to her class...Manik was very angry with Alya "What's wrong Alya didn't you see DJ was there.." Alya "Oh come on she knows I'm your girl friend then what's wrong.." Manik "Alya your stupidity is crossing all limits with every passing day..If this continues then..." Manik walked off leaving Alya very distraught...

Both Fab5 and Nandini Navya got busy with their music session and classes for the day. But with nandini back in college it gave Harshad a chance to get back at Fab5 this time by playing along Alya and Nandini both.. He has been observing Alya's growing insecurities for Manik and decided to use his sister's weakness... He called Alya at a secluded place and instigated her to get back at Nandini and blamed nandini for snatching away the love of her life. Alya for whom Manik was the beginning and end off all the things got played by her brother and decided to give Nandini a piece of her mind..

Few hours later Manik came into DJ's class to check on her as too much practice would tire her and make her breathless as she was an asthma patient but she was not there. DJ was busy fixing Cabir and Navya on some fake secret project work in the library by making them partners, though Navya was hating this Cabir loved it to the core... "Navya and Cabir please don't tell anyone that you are working on this project for me.. I want it to be a surprise for all.." DJ ordered.. "Sure DJ we won't.. I don't even know that I am working on this.." Cabir went a little overboard while Navya made face and DJ was like "yeh ladka.."

Meanwhile Manik walked in to find no DJ in the class but only Nandini in the class who was trying to open the window which was stuck...Manik smirked on finding Nandini alone as he so wanted to be alone with her.. He went close to her held her hand and in a jerk opened the window.. As soon as the window was opened a cool breeze greeted them both and Nandini's hair kissed Manik's face...He closed his eyes to experience heaven.. Nandini to wasn't feeling and different Manik's touch sent her into a tizzy.. Manik slowly moved his hands on her waist making her shiver like anything and turned her to face him.. Nandini's eyes were still closed, Manik went close to her and whispered "I never said thank you for the tea.." His warm breath evoked feelings in Nandini that she never knew, everytime Manik touched her or came close to her she would experience something new...

Manik slowly removed the hair from her shoulder and put it on other side and moved his fingers across her soft neck.. The passion and romance took over them and they both forgot where they were. Nandini held Manik's shoulder tightly as he went close to her planting a small and soft kiss on her shoulder sending shivers across her body. Manik pulled her close to so close that he could hear her heart beat which was racing...All of a sudden Nandini's phone rang breaking their trance and Nandini ran away from there blushing.. Manik stood there trying to recollect and relive every moment of what just happened..Suddenly he realized the smell..The smell of the perfume Nandini was wearing..He knew that smell it's the same as the scarf one; the one his stranger wore..So does this mean..Is she Manik got excited and curious both with the idea that nandini could be his stranger.. He wanted to share this with DJ asap..

Later in the day both Fab5 and Navya Nandini got a memo to meet at mini auditorium by DJ.. As Nandini was walking towards the audi she felt someone holding her and pulling her..She knew it was Manik so she "Manik tum.." but was shocked to see Alya.. "Oh now you and Manik are pulling each other behind doors" Alya accused Nandini.. "I thought you are small town simpleton but I was so wrong.. Off all the people you got mine just my boyfriend.." Alya shouted and Nandini was speechless... "Stay away from Manik he is Alya's boy friend.." She pushed Nandini and walked off.. Nandini was shattered never ever someone has accused her off doing such things.. "Manik is Alya's boy friend then how come I feel so much for him how.. Why everytime he's with me I am nervous and when he's not with me I want to be with him..Why even after such start I feel safe with him..I see love for me in his eyes not Alya but he is with Alya not me..He's not with me" Nandini cried bitterly alone in that washroom...

She came out of the washroom determined not to talk or even look at Manik.. Everyone was there when she entered in audi and were waiting for her.. She smiled at DJ who along with Manik and Navya noticed her blood shot swollen eyes.. DJ was worried as what happened to the girl who was blushing few moments back and Manik became restless on seeing her like this... Manik kept on messaging her but she kept on ignoring and even before DJ could start Nandini got up and said "Mam I am not feeling well can I go home.. My leg's paining.." DJ knew the reason is something different but she allowed her to go, Manik stood up to take her home but she insisted on going alone seeing this Dhruv came forward and Nandini agreed to go with him.. This irked Manik, made DJ and Cabir worried and Alya very happy..

Soon Nandini reached her home and bid good bye to Dhruv, she walked straight into her room.. She took out the jar of fireflies a piece of her mom and started crying.. Why do I feel so bad amma not because Alya accused me but because Manik is not with me.. Why does he effect me so much..why do I feel complete when I am with him.. Why Amma why??" She was crying bitterly...But how come a mother can leave her daughter so hurt and sad so Nandini's Amma to made sure she's there with her daughter as the fireflies glowed every time Nandini spoke Manik's name...She was confused on seeing those glowing fireflies as she knew they glowed only when there's true love... "So is Manik is the one for me..Is he the one with whom I can forget all my pain and be myself..Is he the one to whom my music will take me.. Is he my one true love" Nandini sat there confused when the night in a Bangalore hotel garden flashed in front of her.. The boy his frustration, a girl in his life called "ALYA" whom he didn't love but was still with her.. "ALYA", "ALYA" all she could remember was her name. She closed her eyes to remember the night the voice it was of it was of "Manik.." Nandini was shocked..
