Chapter 10
The next day , Nandini went to Manik's cabin and knocked the door . "May I come in? " Nandini asked . "Listen ...u r already in ...and ur not an employee here !" Manik exclaimed . Nandini made a face and entered . "agar kuch important kaam hai toh batao ..other wise get out " Manik yelled . "Its about Ahaan ..." Nandini said . "what about him ? " Manik asked . "Manik ...I feel Ahaan is going through some turmouil due to some internal problems in their family ." Nandini reviewed . Manik stared at her and said coldly "Listen ...dont bring the topic somewhere else ! ...dont go into his personal life ...do what is given to you ...dont cross your limits !" Manik warned her . "Manik ...I'm serious ..it is something to be taken seriously !" Nandini said . "We need to sort it out Manik " Nandini said . "What do mean ? " Manik asked controllig his temper . "yehi ki we need to give him emotional support !" Nandini said seriously . "Listen enough ...now u go out ! " Manik said . "But Manik ..." ..."OUT!!" Manik screamt which made Nandini scared . She went out . "Khadoos ! ...iss Monster ko jehlne better hai ..ek gorrila ko paalna !" Nandini mumbled to herself .
"Lady doll ..." Ahaan excalimed running and smiling . Nandini noticed him faking smile . "Kya hua Ahaan ? " Nandini asked for which Ahaan swiftly hugged Nandini . Nandini was shocked by his action but then reciprocated the hug which made him feel better . Ahaan was sad the whole journey he was comming here . As soon as he saw Nandini all his sadness vanised but he felt weak somewhere . But after hugging Nandini he felt completely better . By that time Manik also came out of his cabin and found Ahaan hugging Nandini .
"What the ...yeh Ahaan Nandu ko aise kyun hug kar raha hai ? " Manik murmured not knowing why was he thinking like that . But then smiled seeing Ahaan smile . "Ahaan ..." Manik called him out . Ahaan swiftly lifted his head and he went and hugged Manik . "Chachu ..." Ahaan said and Manik lifted him .
"Chachu ...lets go to your house and lady doll also come there ..." Ahaan said . "Lady doll ?" Manik asked confused . Ahaan pointed Nandini and Manik frowned . "Dragon ke naak se phir hawa nikhal ne lage !" Nandini mumbled . "Chale ...??" Ahaan asked . Nandini noticed Ahaan from the time he came . His eyes were puffed , and somewhat red . His voice was weak . She felt his voice lacked the enthusiasm he had the day before . Nandini thought of asking it after some time .
They drove to Maniks house . In the car , Ahaan kept his head on Nandini's lap and was in deep thoughts . Nandini was now sure that something was fishy . When they reached home , Ahaan was in sound sleep . Nandini picked him up and placed him on the bed in Maniks room which was in the size of her hall , dining hall and kitchen .
"Manik ...dont you think Ahaan is hiding something ? " Nandini asked . Manik also felt something but he ignored it . "I dont think so ...may be he is tired thats why ..." Manik said . "No Manik ...Ahaan just loves being open ...he loves being honest ...but I can sense him being scared " Nandini said . "Oh just shut up .." Manik cut her down , as his ego was not willing to give up .
-Nandini's Pov-
What the hell ! Yeh hamesha itna khadoos kyun hota hai ...Monster kahi ka ! But Aiyapa Ahaan seems to be very much distrubed . Its like as if he is trying to keep up something inside him which he fears of . I know he will not say it now but he just cant bottle it up inside him . Huhhh and this Monster ...he is also not helping me do this !

"Oh hello ?? ..Kaha kohgayi ho !" Manik said in a sharp tone making Nandini come out of her thoughts . Nandini frowned and moved front to get out of his way . But suddenly she slipped up and closed her eyes and the next moment she found herself in Manik's arms . She opened her almond eyes wide with forty parts of shock and fifty parts of surprise . Something made both of them freeze in that place for more than ten minutes. The both moved apart by the sudden interfernce of the servant .
Nandini was embarassed and she turned towards the door exiting to make a glass of boiled milk for Ahaan to make him drink after he wakes up . After half an hour or so , Nandini came inside with a tray which had a pair of sandwiches and a glass of milk for Ahaan . She kept it in the side table and went to check Ahaan and was terrified to find Ahaan having tempurature .
"Manik ...Ahaan is having fever ..." Nandini said to Manik who just move into sleep on the couch . "What ? " Manik said jerking out of the couch completely worried . He quickly went near him and checked his forehead to find his body terribly hot . "Yeh kaise hua ? ...he was alright in the morning !" Manik said with a tone of shock and was worried to the core . " Manik , Pls get me a thermometer " Nandini said . Manik made a swift move towards his wardrobe in the dressing chamber and got the thermometer .
Nandini slowly placed it inside Ahaan's mouth and told Manik to make sure that he doesn't move . She took out the hanky which was inside her bag and went to get some cool water . As soon as she entered with it , she took out the thermometer out to find out his temperature to be 101 degree . " ...he is having high temperature ..." Nandini said making Manik even more worried . "Manik ...plss don't worry ...he will get alright may be didn't having anything yesterday night and today .." Nandini tried to calm him . She took out the hanky which she dipped into the cold water and placed it on his forehead . She kept doing it time and again as the cloth dried and after sometime she found his body less warm than before and sighed a relief and making Manik sigh too .
"Nehi ...nehi ...please ...papa ...plsss ..." Ahaan was stammering in his sleep and started shivering and Nandini went close to him and hugged him giving her body heat . Manik saw Ahaan like this for the first time and his heart broke to see him in such a condition . "Pls ...mein pakka next time karoonga ...mamma ..." Ahaan was again stammering . He continued to stammer like that for ten to fifteen minutes and then Manik also hugged Ahaan from the other side .
Ahaan started crying badly . "I'm ...I'm trying na ..." Ahaa said in between . "Haan Ahaan your trying ..." Nandini said while Ahaan stopped crying and looked at her . "Mein bura hoon ? ..." Ahaan asked her . "Nehi ...mera baccha ...tum toh mere cutiey pie ho ! how can u be bad ? " Nandini said pecking his forehead . "Chachu ...I'm not a bad boy na ? " Ahaan asked ."Nehi toh !...ur very good ...infact ur the best ! " Manik said hugging him .
Ahaan kept his head on Nandini's lap and his leg on Manik's . Nandini started to ruffle his hair slowly making him calm down and it worked too . Slowly Ahaan drowsed down into a calm slumber and sweating as his temperature came down to a little normal one . Manik and Nandini placed him properly on the bed gently and covered him with a duvet . Manik moved towards the balcony sobbing a small cry within himself .
