@Genie:😳😳 *sharam se PaNi PaNi*😉
I think people underestimate the mystery element in preserving the 'zing' factor'.. Ultimately everything is perception.. Pre-musicana they were an unknown entity to not just themselves but to us.. We didn't know them well enough to predict what Manik would do next, how Nandini would react to it and most importantly how far they would be willing to take it.. this made every scene hold our breath with anticipation.. But now there is familiarity.. between them, between us. We know how each would react to the other, we know what lines they will not cross and we can anticipate how they make us feel which takes away the surprise element. Therefore it requires a curveball of 'pool scene' magnitude atleast to recreate the 'zing'.. It is not necessarily MaNan but our perception that has become adaptive and jaded. Poor PaNi, the struggle just never ends. On every level😆
@Geet: Awww.. I love you, you poetic soul
@BI: Same. It is also her most underrated work, probably because it was published posthumously. But I am happy, atleast this has protected it from being twisted, misinterpreted and exploited for countless ridiculous movie adaptations.
Haha too late.. The books we love reveal bits of our soul. I don't think you could ever scare me again.😛
