practically she should abort but emotionally no ...she should not...depend on navya state of mind n her financial capability...bcoz she is just 18 ...not settle in academic ..no partners support no financial... so she should think before it...but a mother can do anything for child she can upbring strongly...with both her study n finance if she decide...all depend on navya state of condition but as per she should not keep...sorry if hurted

it was navya's choice to do it with harshad, she was not forced or raped. was the wrong choice and now she should take the reasponsibility, and while the responsibility should be shared,in harshad's case nothing can be done. It was a mistake made by the two of them why should an innocent life pay for it.
those who think she should abort the baby because she is too young, should also remember that after giving birth, there are many options.

like take the movie 'juno' she gave up the child just as it was born. And though it will be painful for her to say good bye to her child, atleast she will know that her kid has a better life.

Or take the korean movie 'jenny and juno' (in that the teen parents are only 15), they decided to keep the baby. The baby being cared for by the girl's mother while both kids study and establish their future.

If navya takes the case to court and she can name the father, she can force harshad to help support the child economically, through child support (or so I heard ).Not that I think harshad would ever agree to it,but by law,he has to.

so she has a few choices, so abortion may not be necessary . However if it is what she chooses ,we must learn to respect it ,becuse it is her choice

If a women is given the power to bring life into the world, she also has to power to nurture it on her own!!
If ur father dint provide u means for livelihood ur mum wouldn't just throw u, she wouldn't have killed u in her womb .. She would have fought for u,cared for u .. Coz she loves u...I will find her a ruthless lady if she kills the child for her future n career ... Don't tell me about the future of the child - there is no such thing, no one knows the future of anybody
If she can bring the child in the world... She can also provide it with the means

Generally I don't feel like speaking but abortion IS NOT illegal in India. It has been completely legal since 1971. Please learn more about India before saying random stuff.
This is a seventeen year old girl who has to live in a problematic society like India and bring up her child? It's not even about marriage/relationship whatever. Let's not be childishly unaware of the actual situation in India. She will be shunned by society, her family, friends, everyone. It's the worst possible solution there is. Marriage won't solve anything either. India has been pro-choice for years. Don't analyse the situation from the rosy First world country glasses.

Hey Dushtu ... Trust you to hold the bull by its horns 😊 I am sure, this question whether Navya or any girl in her situation should bring the new life into the world is in every KY2 viewer's mind ... I saw your topic last night and . I am so confused since I read your topic...as confused as I ever have been about this ...I try to not think about it much and Navya sure does make it easy for me until your topic and now there's no escaping from it or so I thought ...
Well I re watched the scene where Mukti and Navya are talking about abortion then Navya's individual scene where she decides to keep and care for her baby, couple of times ... I know her decision is an emotional one and she isn't thinking practically ..she is a college goer who has no idea what she is going to do with her future ,how will she provide for the baby ...I understand it all and yet I want her to keep the baby and at the same time I wiish that a fairy godmother waves her magic wand and voila, all is good with the mother -child ... and no marrying that Harshad or anyone for that matter isn't the option I am looking for. .. damn actually I have no idea what I am rambling about ... I have no solution. ... I wish I could say, Oh I want an ideal and perfect solution for Navya .. this is fiction after all , and get done with it but naah that isn't the idealist talking but an escapist ... 😕
Bottom line ..I have no idea. . My mind says one thing and heart says something else 😳

Well as u've said that abotion is legal in India - correct - but only under certain set circumstances
Out of that - it is illegal
N be it until 17 weeks or 21 weeks - to get aborted u must be within that
Legal abotion means u r allowed to abort subject to some conditions
There was a recent case in Ireland where an India women died as they wouldn't abort her child because abotion was completely illegal there but following this incident it is legal with some conditions on it.
N about my facts ... As I said I m a qualified lawyer ... I passed law in 2010, then worked under as an assistant to public prosecutor for special cases like dowry deaths n mutders for 2 years
I have written research papers on organ transplantation act, judicial accountability n many other n have been awarded at national level for them
Don't question my knowledge about India, if u still want to it's ur choice... I seriously don't care... The only reason I've written about myself is that u know that I have been through corridors of courts where the criminals r tied up with a rope n police officers standing next to them but still looking at me the corridor would be full of whistles... I've gone through numerous post Mortem reports where 2 months preg wife had been burned alive for a TV or motor bike
So it's not that I don't know the state of India, but my idea is self sufficiency n being independent gives you a freedom of choice...otherwise u r always dependent on someone
I don't see any harm in navya having the baby... It's her life.. She wants to have it... Good she is willing to take up her responsibility.. Now she's got her mum she can figure things out better...
Why does the world has a problem!!
