I am honestly amazed at the extent to which Nandini has been dumbed down. Like, who even is she? What's her ambition? What's her future plans? Where is her past? Her dead parents? Her own problems apart from Manik? Her identity beside Manik?

I don't know if it's the faulty characterization but their so called relationship has swallowed Nandini entirely. Her character will only be shaped along the lines of Manik's fresh angst. She is an extended version of Manik's alter ego with nothing to provide on her own. Is this healthy? This young girl, who has no interests other than her boyfriend, how is this healthy? This is toxic and strange.

I am sorry to say but Nandini doesn't have a say in anything because it's a Manik show with Nandini there to romance him and create some angst for him. She doesn't even exist on her own. I am not one of those who prefers a heroine-oriented show because god knows, we have too many of them but at the very least, give your heroine an identity. -_- This is especially surprising because Nandini was not like this previously. She had an identity. Now she's just a blank canvass for Manik's angst.
