1. If women such as Nandini and Navya suddenly have to change their appearance to make a point; then that point is made in terms of a vocabulary and understanding that is male.
Not only does it flatten the multiple discourses that lead to violence (both physical and ideological) against women; it also dismisses the realm of 'romantic' relationships and issues like consent and reduces them to a matter of clothing, which can be taken off and put on at any point.

2. The 'campaign' was restricted to a bar, and came out of 'revenge' for one's friend. Not only was there a conflation of 'we'll teach them a lesson' and 'it's my choice'; it also completely dismissed the point that: IT WAS MUKTI's CHOICE. SHE CHOSE to do what she did. ONLY when she lost control did this became a broader 'movement'.

3. There was NO sensitivity about the terms that were thrown around: HOT? CHICKS?
Commodifying women is not helping ANYTHING even IF said women are called those things as endearment or are consenting to it. THAT makes it a matter of individual choice and shows hypocrisy on multiple levels, one of which is again: If you legitimate the use of certain terms and items of clothing, then you cannot suddenly make pass off your insults as a transnational feminist movement, which has a certain context, which yours CLEARLY WASN'T.

4. I won't even GET into the publicity gimmick of this.

13th - Dude, this was MTV's call. They wanted to promote spiltsvilla and join the bandwagon coz all youth shows did something on women's day.

Writers kept it for channel service. Glad they didn't involve the main story much. Monday come soon.

Make that post and I might just watch this episode, just to troll. 😆

@Chetu: And the whitewashing crap they pulled with Mukti's character as a total cop out.. MTV made them do that too?😡😡 I'm sorry but there is NO justifiable excuse for this but stupidity and sheer ignorance🤢

@BI: Oh so should I go cheat around with other shows now to numb my pain? 🤔

Guys watched it for Lul.
No it did nothing for the cause they kept promoting. Made a complete joke , the thing is they didn''t drag it.

It became all about Splitsvilla pretty soon.

Only part-Manik did ask nandu if she was comfy. He was more shy than her.

MaNan were more PaNi tbh. They kept partying randomly. Everyone was themselves.

They used a social cause to promote their other show as usual at KY2's expense.

It was Navya for me who had a greater disservice to her. Nandini has been shown to wear few western dresses. But Navya had a complete character flick.

Story wise do we really care how they resolve Mukti? I don't want any more airspace for her pity party. She is not glorified, wasn't even there much except for lulz. That is all. Sunny Leone and Police should be trolled.

Writers played it very safe. Now we can have rest of the time for our babies.

I thought the 1st MaNan scene was cute, because both of them were shy.
As for Manik asking her for a kiss, C'mon guys Manik has asked her for a kiss every single time. This is nothing new.

Sunny Leone was LEL

Honestly it was just cast of KY2 dancing and partying with Sunny . There wasn't any Mukti glorification. She did hug it out with Nandu.
Manik sort of talked about Mukti's behaviour towards Nandini ,w ho obviously thinks Mukti is manageable coz when she has dealt with Manik then she can handle anything.

Their flirt game was fun while dancing.

Just they threw a party for the cast with Sunny , and then the show plug.

Social cause was trolled in first few mins bas.

Knew the moment Sunny leone was entering Ky2 , it had to be the promotional gimmick for her show, but what a twisted way of including that in the plot in the name of women empowerment.Pointless to say the way #itisnotusitisyou was trending in twitter...
@genie- but dint Navya already wear something of that sort trying to pull a mukti to impress Harshad, this time she wore for Mukti. BTW for me, it was unsettling with both nandini and navya resorting to such outfits goin out of their comfort zone. But i guess it was more like offscreen masti.Waiting for monday

adhi..not since they 'fought'. has never done it in this way, i have no problems with them kissing, or doing whatever..it was how it played out that i have a problem with, and also the context.

If it were a matter of, yay we did it! and they kiss, I would be the first one jumping for joy.
if it were a matter of manik seeing nandini sad and she needing TLC and they had kissed, I would be very happy and wouldn't have problems.

I just felt uncomfortable
