You have waited long enough for the update and besides all the things and issues in my life..it's been your support that has made it possible for me to write again .
And I am also aware that the wait has been long ..that to catch up a few vital summary points are necessary that would help the story keep flowing !
Not taking much time ..i would list the main events that has happened till now
1) Nandini and Navya comes to mumbai to assist abhi in his project .
2) Navya had a past that made her insecure about the little things in her life
3) They meet cabir in the plane and after reaching mumbai he helps them to reach a specific address given by abhi and it's where nandini saw manik for the first time
4) After that they have to rush manik to the hospital for his hand has been brutally cut by the glass shard
5) Abhi realizes that by mistake he had given his previous address to nandini ..which was actually manik's farmhouse
6) Abhi and Dhruv go to airport to pick nandini and navya only to realize that they have gone with none other than cabir
7) After that they both rush to hospital and find navya , nandini along with cabir who explains what had happened .
8) Later Doctor ensures manik's safety..Abhi leaves the hospital along with navya and nandini and takes them to alya's house.
9) Nandini and navya join M.M publishing house after the recommendation of manik
10) Nandini , one day enters manik's cabin and sees a paper on ground which she puts back on the table nearby and at that time manik enters and he mistook nandini for actually trying to read the contents of the paper though he later realizes his mistake and apologizes
11) To rectify his mistake and to boost nandini's confidence he takes nandini to an orphanage where nandini meets adorable rehan
12) By actually conversing with children , nandini for once feels cheerful and ready for the event where she could prove to the sponsors that she is the perfect choice for co-authoring " Love Infinity"

PART 16 : The Event
Despite having planned , checked and unchecked every possible how-to-do..Nandini was still feeling a bit tingly..peeking through one little corner in the backstage she roamed her eyes through the entire hall and found it fully packed to it's neck at the entrance...
"Wow..there are so many people..."- Nandini found herself in a state of panic..
"Calm..down Nandini..calm down.. you can do it.." - she was repeating a jumble of consoling phrases when she felt a gentle tap on her back..
She turned to find Abhi along with Navya who were dressed in formals..looking every bit of professionals..Nandini felt proud as they beamed with utmost confidence..
Abhi : So Nandu..all set..
Nandini : Yeah of course..who is nervous..I am not..
Nandini sighed as she rambled while tapping her heels ..
Abhi : Nandu..Relax..you will do great..
Navya : Haan..Nandu..we trust you..
And in a zap Navya and abhi hugged her tightly..They had this custom ritual of having group hug ..before any big thing..
Nandini : Thank you guys..I do feel better now..
Nandini said beaming ..feeling a little pumped up after their group hug..
Abhi : No problem..we are there for you at each step..remember that..
Soon abhi was called to check for the guests and other preparations and Navya followed him along ..while Nandini stood in wait all the while rambling with her aiyappa..
On the other side Manik was attending some phone call when he heard someone going bizarre ..from all the way to muttering some strange names which he never heard in his life.. to swaying all their hands in a peculiar tribal dance form..
Slowly and cautiously he moved ahead ..bending down he gently taped at the person's shoulder..
"Aiyappaaa.."- the person jumped from it's place on account of the sudden terrorist attack ..
"Nandini..you..."-Manik muttered..as he saw Nandini screaming her wits out..
"Manik..tum.."-Nandini inspected him from head to toe..
Manik : Yeah..why are you shouting ..?
Nandini : Woh..nothing..amm..
She stuttered with her eyes stuck at the carpet beneath her..trying to dig a hole through it..
Manik : Nandini..look at me..
Sensing something unusual in a flick Manik slightly tipped her chin with his index and in his subtle haze brought her face impossibly close to his.. he continued grazing the velvety curled tresses while subtly pushing them aside with his other hand as they kept dragging down to her flushed cheeks..
Manik : Nandini..what's wrong..tell me...
Nandini felt his eyes staring deep inside her soul and in a moment she found herself lost in those flickering hazel orbitals..and Manik felt his heartbeat spiked at incurably high..however soon enough they were snapped out of their trance as announcement for Manik ringed through .. fixing himself in a quick he dashed towards the stage leaving a flustered Nandini behind..

" Thank you everyone for being here..this event is really special ..and why is it special..you will get to know it very soon..."- Nandini heard manik's voice boomed backstage amidst all the cheers..
"I would like to meet you someone very special..without her it wouldn't have been possible at all...ladies and gentlemen..Nandini coauthoring in M.M's next blockbuster ..Love Infinity " - a curtain withdrew revealing Nandini pacing forward in low strides onto the centre stage..
"Wow..this ..this is so beautiful .."- Nandini gawked all around the stage which was shimmering red in hues ..disco lights were frolicking and swishing , embossing the grand hall as they welcomed her graciously..
Lost in her bubble of amusement and pride..her feet halted abruptly as her eyes twitched wide and even wider with her gaze fixed at crowd in front of her ..swarmed in huge numbers their eyes were glued at her as they could sense even the slightest of twitch..and she felt like a lamb in front of pack of wolves who would be pouncing on her ..ripping her head off.. if unleashed..
"Nandini.."- Amidst her growing desperation to break free and run away ..she heard a slight voice humming her name like a melody..and she turned to her right ..and there she saw Manik forwarding his hand ready to wrap in her's tiny one..strangely she felt her fear resolving into thin air as she held his hand tightly ..his fingers creating a sense of warmth inside her..as she latched onto them for support..
Manik : Nandini..
Nandini : Hmm..
Her reverie soon ended as she felt his hand pressing against her's with a force .. a hint of concern and anxiousness laced his eyes as he asked..
Manik : Nandini..you don't look okay..what happened..tell me..are you nervous ?
she nodded sadly..whispering in low hums.. though his thumb swirling on her palm in smooth circles brought her a sense of calm for a while..
Nandini : Here..There and everywhere ..so many people..I wonder how could they all fit in here..?
Manik raised his eyes with sheer amusement..he slightly grinned and spoke - " Nandini ..do you remember what I told you before .."
Nandini nodded her head slightly and repeated -" Don't just read..live your story and all the characters..Don't ever forget to have fun while maintaining a certain schedule..children or no matter any audience loves to interact..engage them in heart to heart conversation for those are the ones who give your story magical wings to sweep through the borders.."
Manik : Oh yes..you are right..and please trust yourself as much as I do...
"Alright ..nandini..I handover it to you now..."- Manik mumbled and went away ..and from then Nandini started jingling a few words from here and there of her script ..and the more she continued..she noticed a few among many who seemed uninterested or rather bored with her unnecessary rambling..many of those people were the ones who looked rather forced in being there and would much likely prefer to read a book alone wrapped in the confined zones of their comfort ..while the other few were the ones who only meant business.. for they were solely interested in the profit of their companies in this new venture of M.M publishing house..and everything else was just a fix..
Her sighs lingered in air as she suddenly halted her little speech and took a few deep breaths to calm her raging nerve..
"May be this isn't a good idea.."- her senses rankled..

A few huffs followed as she gently opened her eyes to see everyone with startled expressions..raking from the ones with absolute shock ..while some were grim as if they were waiting for all this to fail from the very beginning..
"No ..she won't fail...Manik..Abhi..Navya..Cabir...Dhruv ...and M.M publishing house..everyone's reputation is at stake..she won't let her hesitation to crumble everything down.."

"Alright let's do this .."- she felt determined for once in her life..
Nandini : You know what..
She addressed to the crowd in front of her..
Nandini : ..How about .. instead of me stuffing you all the information that you will eventually read ... if you earnestly got the newest edition after It would be published ..Well i can certainly hope so..
She grinned a little to see the astonished reactions from the people..sponsors were agape listening her..they certainly didn't expect much from a mumbling lamb..did they ?...and they certainly were not prepared for her to go bold all of a sudden to actually address the crowd rather than trailing word to word description of the manual they prepared for her..
Nandini : How about we instead have some fun..
She looks at the people once again..some were excited while others were aghast ..
Despite all , she continued..she couldn't go back ..not now..when she has decided to listen to her heart..
Nandini : You know once in a while.. If you listen closely.. when we are not expecting.. true love knocks our door ..and if you give your heart a Chance..one chance.. it will tell you who is that one special that makes your life complete..so for the sake of our hearts we are now going to do a simple exercise..
Bamboozled everyone kept looking at her as she was decrypting some mystical alien qualms of the universe..
Nandini : This simple exercise will tell you exactly what your heart needs..okay so all of you..I know you are not sure what I am doing and many of you might be thinking that I am crazy ..but you know what ..it's good..it's good to be crazy once in a while..so please for once close your eyes and ask yourself what makes you happy..what is that one special thing that gives your life a whim of alacrity ..what is that.. if you have it makes you feel like nothing else matters in the whole world..what is that ..which gives your dull normalcy a spark of something new..
Nandini stops for a while and looks at the people who have had their eyes closed for once..swooping through the the entire hall her gaze catches someone and strangely her lips twitch to a complete grin .. ..." So cute.."-she mumbles as she saw Manik Slipping in countless frowns and pouts as he concentrates deep with his eyes tightly shut..
Once again her eyes catches the crowd in where some are smiling with their eyes closed , while some are still thinking with grim expressions..
Nandini : listen to your heart..what makes it happy..
She sways for a while .. thinking about all the happy memories as she closes her eyes..she pictures the tiny beautiful fireflies swirling in the faint shadows ..mingling their light with their own stars appear in the dull dark sky..lost amidst admiring all she finally notices a faint outline of a figure standing in distance ...swiftly she paces towards him..
Perturbed by the Unknown presence the figure turns in the direction of Nandini but before she could see anything a faint whisper distracts her and she booms back to reality in front of the crowd ..
"Wow..."- the whisper echoes everywhere ...
" Probably cherishing their moments "- Nandini thought and wonders about the person who she saw in reverie..
"Could it be.."- Nandini bemused and twirls to see Manik smiling widely still in his thoughts ..
"I wonder..what he is thinking ..."- Nandini mumbles as a wide grin adorns her face too and then abruptly turns around to face the crowd..
Nandini : You can open your eyes now..
The people do as they are told ..
Nandini : Just as you saw ..the things that are special for you ..makes you happy even if you are only thinking about them...once in a while , right in the middle of ordinary life love gives us a fairy tale and that is the power of love..
She stops for a while and notices some people are smiling..
Nandini : Do you know why I did that..I mean what was the main motive here..
She continues as she saw people turning their heads wondering what is it all about..even the sponsors had their eyes glued to her..
Nandini : The stories are a mere jumble of words ..if you can't see beyond them then they are nothing..if you can't see what makes them so appeasing ..
Still marred with confusion people look around and finally settle on Nandini to conclude ..
Nandini : Emotions..they are what makes a character alive..you just can't read the stories ..you need to live the characters..one can't understand love..you need to feel it to see how much powerful it is..and how it's presence enough to brighten the gloomiest of days..
She pauses for a while as sense of understanding dawn on the people in front..
Nandini : Even if I had read word to word transcript..it wouldn't have meant anything.. if there wasn't any feelings attached ..symbols ..letters ..pictures..they are good but they all are abstractions to what you truly feel..instead of simplifying..they somehow lead to more confusions and complexity..I..
She quivers for a while and then proceeds..
Nandini : I...didn't mean to insult anyone here..if that's what you think ..complexity sometimes dilute the essence of true virtue ..somethings in life are simple..they are not meant to be made complex..I hope you understand that..and with this end message I would like to conclude..
Prepared for all sorts of whimsical affronts ..she definitely never expected the cheers that followed..
Stood freezing still..her mouth went agape , her eyes fluttered wide to notice the people going berserk..when suddenly she felt a squeeze of assurance on her back and when she turned ..she came fact to face with Manik who was beaming like a Cheshire Cat with a grin so wide ..Nandini wondered if it might hurt..
"Congratulations..you did well..I am proud of you.."- Manik but all announced to stilled Nandini..
Nandini : Huh..What..?
Bamboozled Nandini stood there blinking her eyes several times in the process..
Manik : uff..this girl..I meant sponsors said yes ..they are ready for you to finalise the contract..and story would be published a year later..
Manik ruffled her hairs in adoration as she stood anticipating..and then suddenly as if her heels sprung into action..she but all jumped on befuddled Manik strangling him with her Lilliputian frame ..
"Wow..Nandini is hugging Manik as if her life depends on it.."-Manik and Nandini heard someone clearing their throat..
And when turned they saw Cabir bursting along with a grinning Navya..as all fab 5 reached them from backstage..
Cabir : Nandini..won't you give me a hug too..or of now..all the hugs are reserved for sadu Manik..
Navya frowned a little hearing that and then she found Nandini burning holes in the carpet..along with Manik who was now looking in the other direction .. as they stood at least a distance of a foot from each other..
Mukti : Shut up you joker..stop teasing them ..
Mukti stood tall in front of Manik and Nandini as to prevent them from evil eye - Cabir..
Dhruv : Yeah stop Na..Cabir not now at least..
With all against one ..Cabir scrunched his nose in distaste as he huffed ..probably accepting , he couldn't win when all are present to ruin his fun..
Mukti : Alright guys , let's have a party..Nandini ..a big congratulations..it was magical..you rocked it !
Mukti jumped in to hug Nandini ...and then Navya , Dhruv and finally Cabir..with Manik standing aside probably appraising from a distance ..he would occasionally slip in a few smiles directed straight onto Nandini as she stood giggling and mumbling a countless "Thank you's"
Navya : Oh god ! How can I forget about it..
Navya fudged on her heels as if she skipped the most important thing in universe..
Cabir whirls aside her and asks ..
Cabir : What happened..Aisa Kya bhool gayi..
Navya : Woh..actually Nandu loves chocolate cake and I prepared it for Nandu this morning... I even brought it here but I forgot it in your car..can you give me your keys please..
She pouts and forwards her hand to take the keys..
Cabir took the keys out from his pocket and was going to give it to Navya but before he do so , he stops.. smiling a little ...in a whim he side hugs her and speaks...
Cabir : Oh Don't worry about it dear , let's get it together.
Poor Cabir left behind sulking as Navya dashed out of there snatching his keys outside..
*Outside *
Palpitating Navya reaches to the end of the parking lot..when she finds Cabir's Audi in aloof corner..
Navya : Uff..itni door..this guy is mad..how am I going to carry that box this far..should have taken Cabir's help..
Navya huffed as she searched for cake box in car..and found it in the backseat..
"Excuse me ..can I help you.."- Navya heard someone behind her..
Navya : No thank you..actually I have already..
Before she could say much more her gaze gets stuck on the person as she turns with the heavy lidded box..
The words chock her throat as she grumbles a whisper ..
Navya : You..
