Was re-watching some old episodes when I caught this. In episode 41 where Manik trips Nandu and she hurts herself, he panics when he sees the blood and silently gestures (ever so subtly) to Dhruv to attend to her but Dhruv, who initially jerks when he sees Nandu fall, ignores the signs as if to say, 'You did it, so you attend to it'. Manik hesitates for a millisec and moves to attend to her but holds back when Cabir applauds him saying 'Manik Malhotra is back'. With his reputation as a monster at stake Manik stays put.

So it appears that Dhruv's resentment at being made Manik's clean up man started way back then. Yes, he punched him even before that but that was because he thought he had sent the goons against Nandu. I think this was the first instance he openly refused Manik to clean up his mess.

How come Nandu (a first year student) is sitting in the same class as Fab 5 (second year students)? Earlier too they showed this. Do they not have seperate classes for the first and second year students?

Manik doesn't gesture for Dhruv to take care of it...he looks EXPECTANTLY at Dhruv HOPING he'll take care of it but Dhruv determinedly doesn't look that way...and that is when Manik starts moving forward helplessly to try and help Nandu before Cabir's praise for his "monster" act stops him and he pretends to be proud of his "art work"

That is what I thought when I first saw the episode Anu, but if you watch it carefully, you can make out that after the expectant look he gives Dhruv and Dhruv holding his gaze but refusing to budge from his seat, Manik ever so slightly gestures towards Nandu with his head but barely waits a millisec before he himself moves towards her. I cuaght this when I was watching on my phone.

Its amazing how the continuity in the story has been preserved even with the change in writers around the 95-96th episode.

I think what you're talking about is the GENERAL way Parth has of jerking his head in an emotional/intense bit...I don't think Manik deliberately gestured for Dhruv to take care of it...he just hoped very much and that showed in the way his head moved...

Continuity has definitely been maintained remarkably well, which is why we all sing praises after so many epis also when most shows have gone down the drain by this point. The writers may have changed but the creative head was still the same...Richa Yamini so probably creative control was balanced well enough...seems like this PH or channel doesn't interfere unnecessarily with storylines like most GECs either so that probably helps too.
