That being said, you've got a point too...may be this is his reason, his own twisted way of making Nandu unbreakable, someone who cannot be manipulated. But don't you think that the hope v/s hatred challenge will be a bit too random for that?

I'm sure he has realized that Nandini had accepted her mistake the moment Manik took his hand back. After that, it was his hurt and anger doing the talking and we all know that when Manik is hurt or angry- he goes to extremes!

So he went to extremes even this time and kept shoving her away till she accepted her defeat, accepted that this is the end of "MaNan". And the moment he sensed defeat in her body language- he sprang up with a new challenge!

He told her that he wants to see her suffer just the way he is suffering. Once again, hurt and anger speaking, but in a different tone. He again went to an extreme- made her drink vinegar but because he can never hurt her intentionally without hurting himself, he drank that too!

Even when she is suffering, she has to be PRESENT IN FRONT OF HIS EYES.

He then came up with this hope vs hatred thing because he didn't wanted to make it easy for her, he wanted her to suffer, remember?

Upar se Nandu sorta instigated it by thinking that Manik is doing all this because he wants her to suffer and he didn't care correcting her either. I'm not blaming either- both acted themselves.

Now he again sensed defeat in her body language. Can't blame the poor thing, Manik keeps fueling her insecurities by papa-bearing Dhruv despite all the hurt he has caused him so he uses the very hope vs hatred thing to rejuvenate her

Notice how she smiled while going away? If this challenge gives her happiness, so be it! He WANTS her to win, THAT'S why he pushed her and he would've happily given himself more points had it not been Nandu voicing her insecurities. That changed the game for him.

shruti darling,always remember that to burst a ballon you have to fill it with air untill it is overfilled..cvs are doing the same thing with dhruvie,trust me...🤗
