Reading up on fireflies because I just wanted to and see what I found according to Mayan mythology:

Susan Milbrath (1999: 16-17) mentions that several metaphors for stars were used in
Conquest-period Yucatan.

The "queen of stars" is a firefly (cocay), according to one colonial Yucatec source, and fireflies are said to carry "lights from the stars".

How appropriate is this for our MaNan😳

I would never know how you do it but this be the cutest thing ever. Cat researching fireflies is love .šŸ˜†

Makes sense though, that someone would associate the light of fireflies with stars, they both glow in dark. Fireflies be small like our Nandini fighting against the darkness of the world and Manik be the shining star , all alone , far away yet shines for others . They both be connected by this light of love that keeps them going as one. Always fated to be.

"Like you protect me."

Firefly is the queen of stars.

Nandini is the queen of Manik's heart.

How appropriate.
