I was lost in my thoughts when cabir came to me for informing about the show starting. The starting performance was our.

So composing myself I went to the stage along with my other friends.

The invited people along with my parents the chief guests were also seated in the front row . And media was busy taking their bites.

I got irritated seeing them but pacifying myself started tuning my guitar.

When I was tuning my guitar my eyes fell on her who was standing just some feet away from me at the very end corner side of the stage hiding little behind the heavy curtains. She was wearing the dress I bought for her. She was looking breathtakingly beautiful. She was looking damm too pretty in that gown that I just wanted to go hug her tight then and there. "But she didn't love me. " this thought started haunting me.

Then taking a quick glance of her I closed my eyes and started

After the performance the audience started clapping hooting for them. It was an awesome performance. The media already started wishing malhotras to have such a talented son.

After the grand opening it was the time for other performances. So the host started conducting other performances.

When they came from the stage cabir run to me for a hug .

I hugged him back saying " you were amazing today. Superb buddy. "

Navya also greet cabir "cabir tumne bohot achcha bajaya ."

"Bajaya .? What achcha bajaya.?" Cabir replied rudely.

"Nahi woh humura matlab tha ki tumne drums achcha bajaya. You played very well. Aur singing was also good. " she nervously replied.

"Yaahh dude you all rocked the floor. " Abhi said but looking at Mukti only.

Cabir noticed that and said to tease them " yahhh we rocked there on the stage and you are doing jazz here. Kyun mukti. ? Finally tumne 'say yes to abhi' kah dia... and you abhi tune 'mukti se tere liye yes mukt karwahi lia. .. good job haan"

Listening this Abhi bowed down as yes when Mukti just playfully hit him.

Then I said dhruv " Dhruv you also was very good today. "

"Thanks " he smiled.

We were appreciating ourselves when only one was staying num.

" Manik ... kya tu waha side me khara hoke calculate kar raha hai... come here. " cabir asked him to join us as he was standing little away from us.

I was watching my friends. They were so happy after the performance. But my eyes were glued on my star. though she was shining wearing that beautiful outfit but her actual shine her smile was somewhere lost.

"Am I the reason that she has forgotten to smile" I crushed myself as I remembered her saying "you are my problem . Stay away from me. "

I really feel distressed.

Then cabir called me to join them.

Sighing deep breadth I joined them.

"arre asli rockstar toh Manik hai. .. " Abhi pat on my shoulder.

"Yaahh Manik today you just rocked man ... outstanding. " Mukti joined Abhi.

"Haan Manik today your performance was mesmerising like your Good looks. " Aliya said keeping his hands on my arms.

"Ohh this girl... In what an earth she be so sticky... " I thought and gently freed my hand.

"Fevicol " Cabir murmured seeing her touching me. Though he wanted to say it low but we all heard it.

"Fevicol. ?.? " Dhruv asked.

"Ohh haan Fevicol... woh chipka ne ki kaam aate hai. Like 'chutki me chipkaye Fevicol. ' that only. " cabir tried to divert them.

Nandini started smiling because of his 'try to get escaped from their queries' looks.

Ohh man. .. she smiled... finally she smiled.

But I wanted her to smile for me . So I teasingly said " if my performance was good toh Nandu why wouldn't you congrats me. ?"

She for a minute stayed num then said " hmm it was good. "

"Then why didn't you wished me before. ?" I said coming near to her.

"Because some time actions are not so necessary and you have to read the silence also. " she replied looking straight to my eyes.

Our eyes meet like ocean meets the river. Like in sand an thrust traveller meets an oasis. We started reading each other mind through our eyes.

I did not know what she had read from my eyes but I got only blank expression.

"Nandini why you are too difficult. ?" My tired inner Manik got frustrated.

"guys I think we should go the stage as if they need volunteers. " she said breaking our gaze. Might be to avoid further eye to eye encounter.

And she left leaving a frustrating me behind.

I frustratingly stomped my feet. "God!!!! Why the hell she is so difficult? ??"

After some time it was our time to perform. The other performances went pretty well. Every one were enjoying I could see the enjoyment in their movements. Even the Malhotra couple were also enjoying On my surprise.

The host announced 'the star performance of the night ' as our names and asked us to come up on the stage.

My eyes were searching her. And there she was coming with cabir and that madhubala.

"By the way that Madhubala was not so behenji... even she might be made good pair with buddy. Nandini was quite right about them". I thought.

"Manik what the crap are you thinking dude. ? Shut up." My conscious mind rebuked my subconscious mind.

"So buddy all the best " Cabir hugged me wishing luck.

Then Navya also hugged her wishing her the same.

I wanted to hug her and stole my luck from my lucky charm but it seemed like she had decided not to show up.

So I sadly sighed.

Cabir understood my saddened mind and came forward to help.

"So ... guys let's have a group hug... MaNanBir hug? "

He approached his arms towards us. And we shared a group hug. When hugging I gave a little squeezed to her shoulder as an assurance that I was still there with her as I knew she was in her panicked mode due the performance and huge audiences.

The host again asked us to come on the stage. Breaking the hug we headed towards the stage.

I was scared.. scared of facing such a huge audience. I had never sang before in front of these huge crowd.

I felt shiver in my body. My legs were became cramped and disobeyed my order to go on the stage. I was standing like frozen fossil over there.

Then suddenly I felt a warmth inside me. The warmth had taken the froze from me and getting back my life. I was feeling alive. The warmth was radiating my body through the most desirable one of my life... I turned my face and found Manik holding my hand and entwined our fingers.

I stared at his charming deep eyes and found myself.

" Mm...Manik I..." I was dumbfounded.

"You will Rock... trust me. " he blinked his eyes as an assurance.

And I didn't know when a lone but satisfactory smile escaped from my face.

I hold his hand tight and he placing his other hand plum on our entwined hand said " Nandu it's our day. So stop worrying about the crowd. . Forgetting the world just be you... "

And it was what I was needed badly. That assurance from the person I admire the most.

Then we came to the stage. Manik took his guitar and started strumming but witnessing those huge number pair of eyes I Found my voice choked. I shut down my eye lashes because of fear.

And then I heard that mellifluous sound that took my all fear miles away..

I stopped with the sound of glass breaking clapping and hooting of the audience. The crowd gave us standing ovation for that brilliant performance.

Raghav sir came to the stage and appreciated us. I was happy but Manik was more than happy for me.

We came to the back stage and cabir ran to hug us.

"Wohoh man it was outstanding. You guys performed so well. MaNan Tumne aaj mera sur ucha kar diya. " he exclaimed.

Mean while The media reached to the back stage and congratulated Manik's parents who were also present there to have such a talented and brilliant son.

Then niyonika proudly stated pulling Manik to her "off course he is as he is a malhotra after all. "

"Yeh" Manik gave a sarcastic smile.

----manik pov----

I was feeling so proud of my angel as she enlightened the stage today.

I was so happy that I wanted to pull her for a rib breaking hug. But when I was about to hug that God damm media and my so called parents arrived.

Media was appreciating niyonika for having me as a son!!!

Like really??

" ohh Yeh how do I forgot that am a malhotra after all... Their 100 millions cross cheque. " I petty myself.

Then the media asked me how do I felt. ?

" thank you for those unwanted appreciations. I am still learning. And I know am pretty much good. " I said with mix feeling of sarcasm.

Then they turned their attention to Nandini. And then I found such an unusual scenario. She was appreciated by niyonika who never did any thing without her own profit.

"Well my son is a gem I know but there is some one who can easily Complement him. Meet that girl.." She pulled Nandu to her " Nandini. "

I was surprised by her actions so I bend closer to her ears and asked lowering my voice " what is your angle niyonika. ? Why are you behaving so sweet to her? It doesn't suits you. So stop pretending. "

Then the media went to take bite from my dad.

"Thank you aunt. I am glad you liked our performance. " saying Nandini hugged her.

"Ohh sweetheart... you are a treat to watch and listen. You have a very enhanced voice. You can easily compete anyone." she said hugging her back.

I felt nausea. Really I felt puking over there seeing that melodrama running in front of me.

"Yeah dragon bani devi maa kabse. ? I mean yeah she quite likes her but that much k media ko bite v de dia...impressive haan..." cabir told in my ears patting my back.

Even I was shocked. I was about to questioned niyonika back about her this fatal changed avatar when she was again mobbed by the press.

---Nandini pov---

I was so overwhelmed by niyonika aunt. Though she was strict to manik but I knew she quite liked me as I was the one who managed her unmanageable monster son.

So as soon as I turned my face to ManBir they attacked me bombarding with questions

Cabir- " what was that. ? I mean itna pyar. ??? "

Manik- "Yehh...aahhh... she toh never spoke with me so sweet then why with you. ? All of so sudden.?"

"some thing is burning..." I smirked.

"Burning??? huh" he replied.

"Now I could not hold more.

Manik don't let your anger get vanished.

It's high time now.

Ask her about her strange behavior.

If it's not now it will be never. "

Then I said "Cabir will you please give us some time. I need to sort some score with her. " I hold her hand and about to drag her with me when she said protesting

" what score. ? I don't have any score with you. Leave my hand. " she tried to free herself.

But I fist my grip more tighter.

"Guys I think you both should talk. yaar mujhse Yeh 'jani dushman' dekha nehi jayega so go and have that talk. And wapas tab aana jab 'hum sath sath hai 'ga sako. "

"Thanks buddy " I thanked him and pulled her with me to the back yard bush of our school.

Back yard bush

"Manik leave" she screamed.

I left her hand but hold her both arms.

"Now tell me. Tell me what's bothering you. ? Why these all bull shit behaviors. ? "

She was about to utter but I again said " don't you dare to tell that you have nothing to say. Nandini today I am not gonna leave you without getting my answers. Whether you liked it or not. You wanna hit me . you can. But speak up. Spill the bloody beans dammit. "

She was wincing in pain because of my hold but I knew if I would let her go today to I afraid to loss her forever. And I could not afford let that happen.

"Nandini... I am not in a mood to read your silence today. So speak up. " I retorted.

And then she was back in her mugambi mode.

"What do you want to listen. ? " She hit me hard on my chest.

"who am I to you. ? Your bloody ex girlfriend was accused me of being the reason for your break up. And you are justifying my behavior. ? Kis haq se. ? Ho kya tum mere. ? Who the bloody I am to you Manik?? Bolo. Tell na.. Kyun farak parta hai tujhe whether I am happy or not. ? Why the bloody hell are you so attached to me. ?

Why my tears are hurting you. ? Kyun farak parta hai tujhe. ?"

She was pouring her heart out. freeing herself letting the burden out off his chest.

"You shouldn't. You get that. You don't need to care about me. Just leave me in my state. I am now seek off this fighting Manik." she finally transferred the rest of virus to my heart.

"I leave you. ? Why should I leave you. ? I cant leave you. I cant live without you. I do care for you. " my eyes became moist. I held her shoulder with the my full strength.

"Why do you care about me. ? Kyun farak parta hai tujhe.?" she literally shouted at the top of her vocal chords.

"Because I LOVE YOU dammit. I LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.. I LOVE YOU NANDINI.. "

I finally said. I finally said what i wanted to tell her from the ages. Finally those three lovable burden escaped from my heart. Eventually I said her that I love her.

I felt so relaxed then. But what I got as return was hell unexpected.

She punched me hard on my face.
