Aaj Phir tum pay pyar aaya hai
Behad aur behisaab aaya hai
That's what I feel when I saw Manik in that ice-liscious scene. Aww, this man is just out of this world.
A perfect portrayal of what love can do to us.
A perfect depiction of the power of love on us.
A perfect representation of the beauty and sensitivity of love.
He was on the bed, distressed, burnt inside with all that vinegar, looking for remedies to soothe his sweltering inside, although he knew no remedy will ever cool his scorch. And he found ice-cream and just when he discovered it, she messaged.
She - the one person who has the power to melt him like ice
She - the one person who has the power to break him or make him
She - the one person who he may say he hates like crazy, but very well know that the definition of hate has no existence for this girl.
She - his Nandani; his and only his.
He sees her text and there somewhere in his heart, his head, his whole body, something twitches him. How could I hurt her so bad? Completely forgetting he was and is suffering from the same ache, same burning, and same torture. But no, when she is hurting, everything else around him stops. What do I do to stop her pain, to pacify it, to calm it down? No matter how hard he tried telling him he doesn't care ... when love talks no one can argue?? Not even, him, the so called monster, the so called bad guy - The Manik Malhotra. Nope, not even him.
Ice-cream for her. So what flavor does he get for her? Hmmm? Vanilla? Chocolate? Raspberry? Black currant? Tuti Fruity? What what what ?????? Oh I have an answer,
Lets see how much he loves her? Hmmm unlimited!!!! (that was a no-brainer)
What is the flavor of his love like? Calming like vanilla, strong like coffee, a little sweet and a little bitter like chocolate, full of the besties like tuti fruity ...??? What is it? Hmmm, his love is a mixture of everything - Sweet, bitter, simple, complicated, strong, gentle ... everything. So he decided to take every aspect of his love for her. No wonder which one she would like? But that's a promise he made to himself, no matter which one she picks, he will shower her with every aspect of his love. And that's the beauty of his love, so many flavors, and each one to DIE FOR!!!
Standing outside her room window - oh how it reminded me of their first hug ... The very first, breathtaking, mind-blowing, earth shattering HUG ... The hug that made in fall in love with Manik Malhotra right there and then. No questions asked, no explanations needed, no discussions required.
When for the first time I saw his vulnerability
When for the first time I saw his need to be hugged
When for the first time I saw his desire to be loved and understood
When for the first time I saw his dire necessity to be only Manik ... a man who can falter, and who can weaken - who doesn't need to be the strong one always
When for the first time I saw a Manik who needed someone to hold him and calm him down.
He stood there thinking what to do next, when she calls him. I am here. She knew he would come - because she knows his love for her. This scene gave me serenity, when I saw her trust that he would come after she tells him she is hurting. But then a question from her, a silly one to me but it's okay, I will ignore it for tonight - "tum yahan kyon aayay ho ..." O boy ... Ab bhi she wants him to keep expressing his love for her ... Without any passionate expression from you. Okay I won't go there. I won't ...
And so he starts taking out the ice-cream boxes ... the flavors ... the flavors of his love .. The essence, no matter which flavor you pick Nandani, you will have a part of me. Awww, I love this man.
And then she breaks his ice, taps his shell, stabs his frozen attire - "I know you are in the same pain too, because I exchanged our glasses". His look at that time, priceless!!! He pretended to be angry, but he was tired ...
Tired of fighting with her
Tired of staying away from her
Tired of not being able to hug her
Tired of trying to convince him that he hates her
Tired of everything.
He wanted to cry, "its burns, its burns inside don't you know that?" his expressions priceless, his agony apparent, his hurt evident. His whole being shouting - I love you Nandani ... I can't bear to stay away from you anymore.
And then his acceptance. Acceptance of his unconditional love, absolute submission, unwavering affection ... "It hurts to hurt you." I can only imagine what must someone like Manik had to go through to accept this in front of her.
What absolute denial of his own ego.
What complete rejection of his anger.
What utter confidence in his own love for her.
OUTSTANDING!!!
Their very first hug scene made me fall in love with him. Tonight, its all Respect!!!
Respect for a man who has the guts of standing by his love for her!! A little anger here and there is a part of life. But what beautiful portrayal of love.
Respect for a man who has the courage of accepting that I can't hurt you in anyway, no matter how hurt I am because of you.
Respect for a man who tried hurting her and in the process ended up hurting himself more.
Respect for a man, who knows that one person in front of whom, even after all the anger, is ready to bring down all his defenses.
Helplessly he says, what do I do? I really don't know what to do!!! She looks at him, not knowing what to say lets him vent out his anger in silence and stands next to him.
And then comes the classic moment.
A moment which redefined Manik and his rawness.
A moment which was fulfilling but left me incomplete.
A moment which melted my heart, yet lit a staggering fire inside.
I can't get over that moment.
She is picking up the ice cream with her fingers and licking them. He looks at her with amazement first, what is she doing, really ... and then his amazement turns into happiness. Uff, what a pleasure it is to see her eat the ice-cream with such cuteness and happiness. His purpose for coming here was served. He got what he wanted - her happiness, her relief from the vinegar pain.
But he was lost, lost in a world where no one else exists. Only him and her. A gentle, hidden but apparent smile touches the right side of his lips. And then she looks at him. And this time, his happiness turns into a strange kind of need.
A need to be touched.
A need to be loved.
A need to be pampered.
She offers him the ice-cream box, letting her finger stay next to it, letting him decide which one he wants to choose. And at that moment, his need turns into a passionate desire.
A passionate desire to have her in his life
A passionate desire to love her and never let her go
A passionate desire to be held by her, and touched by her
A passionate desire to be loved by her just the same way and even more
And he couldn't resist that touch. She was so close to him, he had all his guards down; he was ready to submit to his love one more time. He had made his choice - he will lick her finger, touch his lips just where her lips had touched, and feel her presence in that sensuality.
He looked straight into her eyes, never letting his gaze falter, and licked the ice cream. She was mesmerized; he was awed. Both were drowning into the heated energy of that beautiful, sensuous moment.
Right there and then, he was ready to give in
Right there and then, he was ready to forgive and forget everything
Right there and then, he knew, if she would make one more move, I will melt into her arms - for that's all his heart desires right now.
And then struck by this realization he left her hand - breaking that raw sensuality that was building between the two. The raw passion, which has the power of drowning everything in it.
Had she made that next move, had she hugged him, had she stepped a little towards him, had she once again eaten from the same finger where he had just left a tingling effect of his lips, he would have forgotten everything. He was in the same state of vulnerability today, which he was on the night of their very first hug. Had she taken that one extra step!!!
But no complains tonight. Manik has once again redefined a true man. He is one of a kind, and the treasures most desired have to be searched and found with extreme efforts.
All the best!
