Sending her links would be better, she can watch that and learn it. She herself should have tried it by now actually as she playing a music student and this is basics.

I have downloaded guitar learning videos , they be so good. Right from how to hold it , to tuning , string intonation , to notes. everything is shown so well.
YT videos are of such help these days.
