Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and barely active. My love for the show has forced me to make this post.
KY2 came at a point where I was ready to give up on Indian shows. I felt that only negativity was shown, and producers are willing to go to any extent to gain TRPs.
KY2 reminds me of youth shows such as Beverly Hills, the original one. Dunno how many of you know that show. Shows like BH and KY2 really help us while growing up. They tackles issues which are really important: the relationship between a couple, friendship, sexuality, sexual orientation, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, rehab, dealing with diseases, conflicts with parents and the list goes on and on.
KY2 is awesome for all the above reasons and also for the fact that it has creatives who dare to be different. I recently watched all the episodes, and I never experienced any dull moment. The characters have grown and evolved. Sure, for any reason, we get a song but hey, it entertains me:)
The USP of the show for me is Manan. I simply love this couple. They share amazing chemistry, and the progression of their relationship is really commendable. They started as adversaries, unwilling allies, developed an intense attraction, they even dabbled into friendship until they finally realized that they were in love with each other. Both made many mistakes. But aren't mistakes part of growing up? Don't these mistakes and how we react to them shape who we become in life? Besides my love for Manan, I genuinely love the characters Manik and Nandini. Both are dear to me. I can never be in anyone's camp for I relate to both of them.
My 2-pence opinion on the current MU:
Yes, Nandini was wrong to doubt Manik. But we cannot deny that she was led to this point by a very cunning Nyonika. Nandini is pure and innocent. She is not used to such manipulations. So, yes, she did fail Manik here. That's why we have second chances in life. So that we can make up for our original mistakes!
Manik - I've read so many posts about his lack of intensity during the current hate' track. Is it really the hate' track? I don't see any hate. For me, Parth is underplaying the intensity as Manik does not really hate Nandini. He's just disappointed! At some level, I even think that he's trying to protect Nandini from the harsh realities of his life. Nandini failed at the first obstacle thrown by Nyonika. When you love someone so much that you are willing to die for that person, won't you be ready to go away from that person just to protect her? Good intentions v/s the pull of our hearts:)
Guys, I don't know any of you. We will probably never interact. It's a humble request to please support such a good show. Manan will be together no matter what. This is also the journey of all the characters, be it Manik's, Nandini's, Fab 4's and that of Navya also. In all relationships, there are misunderstandings. Couples break up but they also get back together if their love is real. And we all know that Manan are made for each other.
I've another request and please do not bash me for this. I see so many posts on the equation between Parth and Niti, some posts which openly bash the actors and many more which I don't want to list here. If we really love this show, let's separate REEL from REAL. They are entitled to their privacy, to live their lives on their terms, to be friends with whomever they want. As Manan, they are ours. Parth and Niti have their own lives. Both are amazing actors and are doing a great job. There can be no Manan without either. KY2 works coz of them. Among the other characters, I only like Cabir, Navya and Abhi.
If for any reason, KY2 doesn't work anymore - it shouldn't be coz of us fans. Let's respect all the actors and their hard work, let's not react to their interviews (which can be silly at times but are getting better I think?).
I love this show and want it to last for a long time. I know many feel like me. My post is not meant to hurt anyone or to be preachy. If I've unintentionally done either, I apologise.
