Trust doesn't depend on oneself always.
The funny thing about trust is, that it's won.
and Manik's anguish is his failure to have won her trust after all this time. If she doesn't trust the man she made him, then how can he anymore? How can he anymore be good if she doesn't have complete faith in the good she'd showed him through her lens?
He's lost. He's defeated. But he's also her Manik and to her he'll return.
Trust is abstract not concrete. It only evolves, never stops or can be defined.
They're bound to find their way back to one another. She's his oasis. And he'll need water.

Manik...its not about losing faith in her, he just lost himself. His whole identity is now a question...he changed, he grew, he evolved for her and now when he doesn't even recognize himself. He has no clue what he is or what to do with himself cause she has no faith in him. In one moment, she reduced him to a nonentity, a total failure in his own eyes. He was always scared that he is not worthy of her and now, he has not remained worthy even of himself. He failed her, inspite of all his efforts, he failed her and himself. Oh the loathing, the bitterness, the seething volcano in him, the burning lava of utter rejection...we can only imagine.
I am so looking forward to him now..always wanted my monster back...but now he comes with some more elegant hues, some more heart stopping shades...now torn between hate and love, loathing and loving...this guy should inspire us to a new thesis every day...God save this forum 😆
