First of all if the creators had played it out different making the viewers not knowing what happened inside the store room, then the game would have been really interesting... Everyone of us would have been in Nandini's position confused and debating on whether Manik had done it or not... And Nandini's "Not sure" would have been most of our responses too... I am completely with Nandini and no blame on her...
My worry or confusion of her character goes beyond that...
For me it's not whether she trusts him and she believes that he did it or not... She believed what she saw and was shown by Nyonika.. She didn't go by her heart said but by what was sown into her minds... And when she just did that why is she crying? That she couldn't lie? Or out of guilt? In Manik's words "Don't tell me that you never lied..." And she also told that she learnt it all from Manik! Didn't she lie for Cabir in the hospital that too so very well?! Anyway, that's not my concern too..
What if Manik had really killed Soha accidentally (the situation inside the store room was so delicate that Soha could have done anything)? Is Nandini going to be the first person to stand in the witness box accusing Manik?! What if he really did kill Soha out of rage? Manik would go surrender himself, may be... But wouldn't Nandini do whatever she could do, to prove what drove him to do it?!
Here she went there all the while churning what she believed that Manik had done and that's what came out... If Nyonika tricked her to lie for saving Manik, why did she agree to it then? If she knows that she cannot lie, then why should she fall for the trick and come like a hero to save him? She was more of a mind person there than a heart person!!! She just played an alibi role but ended up saying what she saw and not what she felt... I didn't see my Nandini there...
