What about her temporarily losing the "tie" between them?

Something new, something different, something that was theirs alone.. returned back to him until he is ready to verbalize and publicly acknowledge exactly what that "tie" represents.. then it will be time to bind her to him once again.. for keeps.. Hamesha😳

@Kray - Harshad never became a thread because Navyaji's obsession was very known , also Nandini at that time was more enamoured with Dhruv -which berated Manik. Also our girl was always wary of Harshad.

13th - Fine only you would stir up emotions just when I wanted to shy away from the tie realization.

@Kray - See this is why Harem is a myth people go wishing or be boxed up , leaving the genie behind. Ye duniya pital di...indeed.

But even before Naveli's obsession came to fore, why did Manik never feel agitated or J when she smiled at Harshad?

Is it because he knew that Nandini would never fall for the suaveness and good looks of Harshad, that she was the type of girl who would go for purity of the heart which he knew Harshad did not have and thought he, himself, didn't have.

@Kray - Nah I doubt he ever thought on those lines or even knew Nandu that well. All that got to him was how Nandu looked at Dhruv- not just the smile, her impression of Dhruv being Knight, Hero...for the first time Manik wanted all of that, the look of pure admiration, honestly, trust for himself. Nandini never looked at Harshad like that. Also soon enough harshad himself was the one teasing Manik about his obsession for Nandu. So Harshad-Nandu equation was never presented like a threat to Manik.

@MKray: Love and mutual admiration be very sweet but from a safe distance only for your own sake.. my soulmate be the jealous and territorial types.. also rumored to possess a violent 'temper' I have yet to (thankfully) witness😉😆

Ummm, I think it also had to with his own knowledge of Harshad and how his mind works.. he knew that the JerkShad only preys on the weak and the vulnerable easy to manipulate types.. and regardless of how he felt about Nandini personally, he has always respected her strength of character since the beginning even if he insisted on calling her dumb all the time😛

Manik is so aware about Nandu's fondness for Dhruv, before Raghav's party when M throws his jealous hissy fit, Nandu goes " Dhruv and I have always been friends" and M rolls his eyes😆😆😆

Adhi, even he was supposedly sacrificing for Dhruv, Manik kept cribbing about how she always smiled for Dhruv, how she had a 'soft' corner for Dhruv, how she only saw Dhruv as 'sweet'. Lol the boy has always been so jealous. He clocked every single reaction on her face. 😆

So you're saying they deliberately made it happen that way for reasons beyond just it being a clue leading Manik to Nandu in the storeroom?

That it came back to him cuz it's not meant to be with her until he is ready to actually admit to her that he loves her? Interesting😆
