Why do you assume we haven't? I am the clumsiest person in the world and have even fallen flat in the office. I got up and laughed, I didn't feel ashamed because these things happen in life.

@arathim - your impression of it is bad ,mine is no big deal, because I understand the haste, need to show her desperate...in that scenario seldom are things perfect. Different impressions. You are suppose to feel bad, because this girl has no idea about what she feels for this boy but she is worried sick that she has lost her balance, her need to save him has superseded everything. Yes it was needed to show her fall, atleast as viewer I find it appropriate and done well, you cannot have graceful fall when you are chasing a moving car but because that is the point of the whole scene , to project that Nandu just couldn't let him go like that , she made that last ditch effort , even not caring for anything.

Nandini Moorthy is loved because she is human and real , not a mannequin , which means she is prone to accidents like falling down . It is not something that is new, like I mentioned previously happened to her when she was hastily rushing for her job , she fell down - big deal. She ran across an airport , got everyone kicked out of the plane because she wanted to transport her fireflies- silly, childish but her.

Dignity is an individual thing, nobody can make it or shape it except of the that particular individual , also he/she will have their own definition for it. What you are aiming at is impression- you feel bad and that is your reaction or impression of that situation. Whereas for some of us , it's an accident aimed at showing Nandini's rush and impulsiveness .

The reason why we are at it because the word Dignity or character assassination are far fetched and probably silly, perhaps a bit dimwit as you might call it because all it was was an accident, caused by friction or something, nothing more. If we are to remove all sorts of taboos on female behaviour or etiquette this should be a good start.

@arathim - Like CC, I have fallen multiple times, clumsy like that, heck at Nandu's age I must have been way more clumsier than her. The basic instinct is of shock and surprise , then it's over. we tend to laugh over it because it's silly but so normal.
