That's a hard question...they don't even know if it's love or not yet...all they know is they need each other and can't stay away from each other *clearly*
for manik it started as an obsession...for a guy like that, a punch would definitely do that...he played with her..pushed her to the edge...all the while he got to know her a little more...with the Rishab's incident, he saw the protective side of her...he was able to relate with her, without even realizing that he already started to fall for her
but it was the day, they got locked up in store room...she became his protector that day...his shining star in the dark room...she cared even for the monster manik and he smiled that day...not an evil one...a real one...she started to bring out the good in him...the softer side
And the drunk nandu...she made everything more clear for him...all the confusing feelings...all that meant -he needed her

as for nandini...she only got to see monster manik, till the night of dhruv's attack...that's when she saw the other side of him for the first time...but that was only for his friends..not for the rest of the world
