Yes, it can be a strong possibility that his wound has become septic. There was a lot of emphasis on that wound in the recent episodes, so it is more serious than Manik thought it was. Nandu will feel guilty for not forgiving him because he did say that he will see a doctor on the condition that she forgives him. The fact that she didn't and his consequent refusal to see the doctor may have complicated the issue. With Manik fighting for his life she may realise how they should not take things for granted and cherish whatever they have. Nandu's distraught state and her open display of her feelings for Manik may be witnessed by Fab 5 (particularly Dhruliya) who may then feel free to move on with their lives together.
