I believe I have been the only one in the entire forum who have never been able to warm to Fab 5 as a unit.

Also, one of the few who've blamed the CV's for building up a grey character and mutilating him on purpose. Yes, I'm talking about Harshad.

Lets talk about the former first. Fab 5.

Finally, FINALLY I'm getting the 'Marauders' feels by watching them! 😃 Till now it have always looked like a bunch of lost teenagers and Manik is the unofficial mummy/daddy of that very 'bunch'.

The very group is divided into separate units, all right- but that scene tonight- with Cabir trying to get away from the car and a pair of hands hold him- IT KILLED ME!

One for all, all for one.

Perhaps its not the amount of time that is required to warm up to a character or a group- it's moments like these.

Today's 'Rescue Cabir' moment was THE moment for me.

Now lets come to the teenaged James Moriarty- Harshad.

Don't kill me, Sherlock Homes fans. 😆 It's not that I'm comparing the two- it's just that Harshad's character reminds me of him to some extent.

Where else do you find this sort of logic- "Ok, so my best friend breaks his friendship with me and I start to hate him obsessively- to the point of madness- instead of making new friends and moving on".

I agree, he'd lost more than two good friends after the incident- his sister and his relationship with Mukti. Now, the thing is, it's hard to decide whether he have EVER truly loved Mukti- or anyone for that matter?

Ok, he loves his sister, I'd give him that. But I refuse to believe that he can love anyone apart from the person who's directly related to him.

With that amount of obsessional hatred against one person, it is difficult to love anyone.

Add to that a 'secret' which can 'destroy' him, a suave exterior and a SUPER-CUNNING brain- a deadly mix for sure!

Hence the Moriarty feels. Harshad looks and sounds like he have been stripped of all his morality. Tonight, when he was throwing those smiley balls at her, it seemed to me that he was trying hard not to go all out on her- it's just that he never lets his anger ruin his plans, he was aware of Navya watching it (despite being beyond mad at Nandu) and he couldn't afford to scare her- he needed an ally, of course.

I really, REALLY want them both behind bars now. Harshad needs some serious psychiatric help inside the jail itself.

CV's...are you listening?

My Bebo's DP looks gorgeous. Oh my.

Edit: First spot yay!
I agree on Fab5, they always looked like lost teenagers taken care by Baba, but they were also a close knit family. Although they failed to see Baba's turmoil, and they were lost in their own mess, but they were always a unit. Today's scene gave a whole new meaning to this unit. They didn't give two hoots about his mom, they helped him, and took him away from the danger. Saved him. Then they thought about MaNan. I liked how they also got worried for Nandini, Cabir said he will kill Harshad if anything happens to Manik, I'm sure if they knew that danger was looming on Nandini's head too, they would have been equally worried. This track will give way to new bondings, and put an end to old pseudo friendships.

Harshad! I don't think there's any redemption left for him. He pushed his friend to save himself from the danger, during that night. And because Manik broke their friendship coz of that reason he is so bitter. He is obsessed with Manik, he wants Manik to suffer, and he probably had an affair with Noyonika to hurt Manik, he fooled around with Mukti to break her and in turn hurt Manik again.
I don't think he wanted to kill Manik from the beginning. He wanted to break him, by targeting Fab5, that didn't work, so he tried defeating them in musicana, that failed too, he leaked Cabir's tape, got humiliated in return. He then tried killing Cabir but he got saved just in time. It was all bottled up. And then Manik beat him up. All these defeats were killing him inside, and then Manik's action was the last nail in the coffin. He had to get back at him. Still, Harshad didn't plan to kill him, just get his hands or face injured. But now, after Nandini's betrayal he has lost it. He needs helps. ASAP. And I hope he lands in jail, coz this dude has done way too much unlawful stuff. Jail is a better place for such people.

And while we are at it, take Navya along. She supported him in this plan, equal to a criminal.

Harshad as such when the show started was an interesting character, a grey character for me who leaned black. I was not too fond of his subterfuge and sneakiness back then especially since he projected the hero image to Navya and Nandini.
Harshad I believe has to have some sort of psychological issues coupled with the fact that Manik probably totally cut him out of his life post the meteor incident. We all know how Manik can be once he is mind is set and this probably made Harshad feel that he Harshad is the victim and Manik the villain.
I mentioned in the AT, that Harshad seems to have no attachment to anyone, both Navya and Nandini seem to be only pawns. chess pieces in his war against Manik and its all about Manik for him.
The two people who he is supposed to care about are Mukti and Alya and yet with Mukti, on one hand while he was ready to save her , on the other hand he seemed to have no qualms to help her over the edge. It makes you really wonder. As for Alya, while he does seem to care for her, he seems to have no qualms in hurting her friends in his quest to get Manik. Infact I would say the only attachment Harshad has is this fixation towards Manik. There has to be more to this story.
But he's become pretty irredeemable to me. I want to know his story but I have no sympathy.

The Fab5 have always been there for each other. I always found a method in their madness. They atleast really care for each other. Manik is so James to me😆, Cabir Sirius and Dhruv Lupin and Nandu Lily. I remember one of my earliest post on this forum, I called them a bunch of misfits masquerading as a pack of wolves but they are family. This is the family they have chosen, all from unstable homes finding a family in each other.

They weren't thinking about Nandu being in that kind of danger if she's able to text about it. Reason why they were worrying about Manik more than Nandu. And it doesn't matter to them whether it Nandu or some other innocent- if the person is at the receiving end of Harshad's evilness, they'll do their level best to stop that from happening.

Harshad NEEDS TO GO TO jail. I wonder if Manik will ever show his wounds to his mother and ask for expelling him or putting him behind bars or both.
Seems like a distant dream as of now.

Totally agree with you on Harshad's breaking point. Loss after loss had led to the psycho take over him. That being said, I'm amazed at how soft he went on Nandini. But then of course, I've answered the question in the post myself- Navya's presence.

P.S- Watch the 'Bebo' song and see how Akshay's expressions go like "Yaayy...she's stripping for me" (when Bebo removes the straps of her dress) to "W*F...more clothes"??? 🤣 🤣

Harshad is a character begging for some psychoanalysis. Because I for one still don't quite understand the reason behind Harshad's blind hatred for Manik. Or is it repressed guilt manifesting itself in obsessive hatred because he had actually hoped to be forgiven by his friend Manik after whatever he did? A hope which never materialised, and instead the guy became more and more isolated for that one act of selfishness, watched as everything he held dear went to Manik- friends, his sister, fame? He wanted the kind of loyalty Manik inspired, and the guilt just changed into jealousy and later hatred over the years. So Harshad ended up convincing himself that he was the wronged party here, especially as he saw the Fab5 get away with all the bullying, and hence the need for revenge.

Argh. What am I saying? This is desi tv, and most likely a rather lame cop-out by the writers, tbh.

But yeah, I've been saying this since Musicana, Harshad's time is up. He has fallen as low as he could. Plus his main purpose in the story is over, i.e to push Nandini into Manik's life. Which he has done admirably well. He needs therapy and jail-time now for all that he has done. The only other villainy he can possibly come up with now is to tell Noyonika about MaNan. But give him an extended break before that, please. Give us the love and the yaariyaan now.

Not wasting words on that annoying girl. I don't give a flying f**k what happens to her as long as she stays away from Nandini.

THIS.

The feeling of being wronged by someone. It can do a lot to a person.

For arguments' sake, lets say that both the Saxena sibling were kinda fragile, personality-wise, courtesy of being parent-less.

Lack of parents will only make them vulnerable to extreme personality changes, even though some people are like that anyway. But Alya had her friends with her. Harshad had no one- he chose to be alone.

We all know Manik can be unforgiving at times (until he sees reason). He broke up with Alya because she didn't trust him and never gave her a chance. Although, this part is debatable as there was never any actual 'love' b/w these two and Manik was already in too deep with Nandu by then.

He was a kid when he broke his friendship with Harshad- not forgiving him for being a 'coward'. It only makes sense of his character.

And Harshad chose to...wait for his forgiveness? Something that never came? So he comes up with all sorts of plans and schemes to hurt Manik because as you've rightly pointed out- Harshad felt betrayed. In his own manner.

Shelly, I love the idea of Harshad so much. Too bad all the complexity and potential we see in this idea does not come out on-screen. But on paper, the guy has so many shades to him.

And you're right about the orphans part playing a big role here. I've never been able to fully like Alya because of the ruthless, unapologetic way in which she sent goons after Nandini. She was guilty about it, sure, but even when it all came out, she was all, I had to do it because Manik was too obsessed with this loser Nandini. All the Fab-5 kids are like that to some extent more or less, which explains why they can bully others in the first place. But they are also each other's support system and moral compass in a way which Harshad, being this complete loner, never had. He could only stand on the sidelines, resent this amazing bond that Manik had with his friends, and burn in guilt and jealousy.

This actually reminds me a bit of Manik's behaviour after breaking up with Nandini. He tripped her, taunted her, called her 'stupid', and couldn't believe that she had actually believed his act. & we all know Manik would have spiralled into darkness if Nandini had not saved him. I am by no means comparing Harshad with Manik, because as of now Harshad is absolutely irredeemable for me, and Manik's darkness is a completely different story altogether. But you can see where and how Harshad might have started to believe himself a victim in this whole saga.

Man this makes me want to write a Harshad story. How many jootas do you think I'll get? 😆

I always thought of Marauders for fab5 once their back-stories started coming out.
Manik is sort of James Porter Dhruv is Lupin, Cabir- Black , while ALya and Mukti be their own awesome versions and part of this gang.

Their actions, pranking , need to feel all pwerful while repressing their fears, fighting the darkness and just their friendship made them so special.

Harshad , suffers from repressed guilt which he channeled into anger and hate for Manik, by doing that he is able to justify all his actions. He doesn't see himself as the perpetrator but a victim , which helps him to manipulate people around him.

But the thing is , he is long gone now, what if he never asked for Manik's forgiveness ,he now doesn't seem to have any remorse , rather it appeared that it was his intention to off Manik all through, which makes him unredeemable yet so powerful. He needs to stay away for sometime, because like Shells , you said he is Moriarty to Manik's Sherlock.

I think they had planned a different story...they must have changed it. This one was not very convincing [not matching KYY standards]and its placement was so abrupt..back in the jungle when Nandini had asked him I had not expected this kinda story/reason for revenge..not strong enough reason to harbour sooo much hatred against Manik. I also am feeling now the alien theory would not come up in the show. I might be wrong..but right now can't see them fitting in...let's c. Was this Harshad's entire story or there is more to it??

also I am curious as to what danger these two were facing? aliens??why doe he want to take away MANIK'S MUSIC FROM HIM? When did Cabir join them and how?

P.S; This is the fourth time that Manik has hurt his hands, right? first in store room, then he hurt his finger, then on the stage and now this. how many times does his hands have to be wounded!
