@Bush - We get an idea today , that Manik was about to die thanks to Harshad and Dhruv saved him and got hit in the process, hence the attacks. That is why Manik is so overbearing and all sacrificing for Dhruv, because he owes his life to him.

I think the story will be revisited once more with Dhruv and Manik, again with Nandu , so it's defo seemed like putting seeds for future.
